I came there…read moreoriginally because they were the only place I could find in London/Essex who stocked a particular dress (by NY based designer Madeline Gardner) that I really wanted to try on. I was helped at my first appointment by Daisy, who was absolutely lovely. She was knowledgable about her stock & encouraged me to try options for comparison with my idea of what I wanted. I couldn't fault her. I was honest with her about the fact that I had one other dress (at another shop) that was a serious contender - she asked to see it & was only positive about it. I actually wrote to Bellissima after this first appointment to compliment Dasiy on the service she provided, even though I hadn't decided which dress to go for. At my second appointment (which Bellissima found for me at very short notice as as I wanted to try both dresses on the same day, and reorganised Dasiy's schedule so she could help me) I decided to purchase the Madeline Gardner dress. 4 months down the line it has arrived and is waiting at Bellissima for me! I have not had my alterations done yet, but I would recommend Bellissima for a relaxed bridal shopping experience. No pushy sales stuff, just a lovely helpful attitude.

You are instantly greeted by a polite member of staff who will try to ascertain your likes/dislikes and in terms of bridal gowns, will try to encourage you not to dismiss something if you havent tried it. Trying on wedding dresses is a significant experience in a womans life and the staff here make it very enjoyable and exciting experience. Not only do they offer bridal wear here but bridesmaids dresses, bridal shoes, tiaras, veils and other accessories. I ordered my dress (Mori Lee) and was called back in in a timely manner to be fitted. The one draw back is that the alterations are performed by someone outside of the shop but they were fantastic and not too expensive either. I also bought my shoes from here and did consider gettting my bridesmaids dresses too. The staff gave me a swatch of the fabric that I liked for the bridesmaids dresses (very helpful!) and were not at all disgruntled when I decided not to buy them from there. Even if you know exactly what dress you like and you have seen it in another shop, I would still recommend visiting here as it is a lovely experience and you will be suprised by the prices. Always check their website as they have regular sales too.
