They would also make anything additional that I require (i.e. cravats & hankies to match the Brides maids). Everything you would expect from a suit hire shop they offered, and I would have definitely used them had I not found a place that was nearer home and who offered me a discount because my bride was getting her dress from the same place.

I was helped at my first appointment by Daisy, who was absolutely lovely. She was knowledgable about her stock & encouraged me to try options for comparison with my idea of what I wanted. I couldn't fault her. I was honest with her about the fact that I had one other dress (at another shop) that was a serious contender - she asked to see it & was only positive about it. I actually wrote to Bellissima after this first appointment to compliment Dasiy on the service she provided, even though I hadn't decided which dress to go for. At my second appointment (which Bellissima found for me at very short notice as as I wanted to try both dresses on the same day, and reorganised Dasiy's schedule so she could help me) I decided to purchase the Madeline Gardner dress. 4 months down the line it has arrived and is waiting at Bellissima for me! I have not had my alterations done yet, but I would recommend Bellissima for a relaxed bridal shopping experience. No pushy sales stuff, just a lovely helpful attitude.

You are instantly greeted by a polite member of staff who will try to ascertain your likes/dislikes and in terms of bridal gowns, will try to encourage you not to dismiss something if you havent tried it. Trying on wedding dresses is a significant experience in a womans life and the staff here make it very enjoyable and exciting experience. Not only do they offer bridal wear here but bridesmaids dresses, bridal shoes, tiaras, veils and other accessories. I ordered my dress (Mori Lee) and was called back in in a timely manner to be fitted. The one draw back is that the alterations are performed by someone outside of the shop but they were fantastic and not too expensive either. I also bought my shoes from here and did consider gettting my bridesmaids dresses too. The staff gave me a swatch of the fabric that I liked for the bridesmaids dresses (very helpful!) and were not at all disgruntled when I decided not to buy them from there. Even if you know exactly what dress you like and you have seen it in another shop, I would still recommend visiting here as it is a lovely experience and you will be suprised by the prices. Always check their website as they have regular sales too.

The dresses were laid out separated into sale and non-sale with bigger dress (more princess) and smaller dresses separated, making it really easy to route out what you want, also there's an abundance of choice! I ended up getting a sample dress that was on sale for literally half the price of the dress new last year The dress selection was amazing compared to other shops, nothing was tacky or cheap looking and there was a range of prices to suit every budget. The staff will give you a true "Pretty Woman" experience! I would highly, highly recommend this shop. The booking an appointment was a positive experience and I was lucky enough to get one on a…read moreSaturday afternoon at a short notice. It is also easy to get to by car, easy to park on a side street and it is near New Eltham train station. But that's where the positive experience ended. On arrival the doors were locked and we were out waiting in the cold for a bit. We then got let in around 10 mins before the appointment start time. Prior to my appointment, there were 2 bridal appointments taking place simultaneously where they were walking around the shop floor. I filled out a form and was then left to pick a few dresses to try on. The appointment allows around 4 dresses. I was asked which other shops I had visited. I identified them and they all got slated! I had visited a few other bridal shops before this one so I had a good idea on what I was looking for. The first dress I tried on looked stunning, near perfect. Probably the best one or the joint best one I've seen so far. But unfortunately I was not allowed to take a pic of it to compare it to my other favourite dress. So it's difficult to reflect or come back to it. This no photo policy is somewhat outdated as there's photos of all the dresses on their website with the models wearing them, despite the sales rep claiming that this particular one was not on their website! It is as I found it immediately afterwards. Fortunately the designers featured use a wide range of local stockists so if I do turn out to want this dress I now have all the details and I shall be taking my business elsewhere. The other weird thing that happened is that I was confined to a small cubicle, standing on a pedestal the whole time whereas the other bride was able to walk around freely on the shop floor. I was not allowed to even try walking around or sit in the dress. It made the decision making a bit more difficult. There was a bit of hard sell going on too like 'buy today and save 100', or saying that the dress may not be around for long... A contradictory message to 'this dress is new in' and 'this will be available in September'. However, I was too shocked/distracted by the photography issue to focus on the selling points. At the end of the appointment I was given a business card with just the dress number. No other information about the dress. It is the worst customer experience to date that I have ever had in a bridal shop. A contrast to David's in Westfield. So, in summary there are some nice dresses to be had and they appear to have a good alterations service at a fixed price regardless of what needs to be done. But if you do shop here, just be prepared to not be listened to nor have your requests met.

I did so after…read moremy initial visit to the shop having previously arranged an appointment.This I was pleased with as it gave me time to consider without presure and without other customers demanding the time of the assistant ,whom I now know to be Adile the owner of the Bridal Chest.Adile proved to be friendly,patient and very knowledgeable.Having tried on several dresses I settled on one which fitted fine.However, came to the final fitting I had lost weight,but this did not cause a problem for Adile she simply altered the dress without fuss so once again I looked great,this was confirmed by all that came to my wedding. The choice of suits was very extensive when compaired to other suit hire shops that i had visited. They were very flexible with time to suit those that can not get everyone together at once. They were very good with dealing with specific requirements since we had a specific colour requirement so that all of the ushers and the bridesmaids matched each other. we requested that our cravats be specially made, which they were fine with if we could get them the material. They dont only cater for weddings, they provide suits and dresses for all occasions. They also provided my wifes wedding dress.

As soon as we walked in the staff were amazing, very helpful and not pushy like a lot of sales staff in this arena. I found a beautiful wedding dress but we were getting married very soon and it was tight to get the dress in on time but as soon as the dress came in they communicated everything to me, getting me in for fittings etc. As soon as I found the dress I mentioned the shop to my husband to be regarding the suits they had there. He had already found some suits at another place but he took a look here anyway as he was looking for a waistcoat and cravat. He found the waistcoat and cravat he wanted and also a suit that he preferred much more at Couture. He ended up cancelling his previous hire with another shop and getting his and all the ushers suits from here. The staff made an effort to listen to your likes and dislikes which I found ever so helpful when a lot of places just want to make the sale. My dress was absolutely stunning and the suits were immaculate (we even hired the shoes too!). Service was second to none and the prices were highly competitive.
