Thank goodness for accidents as this place is sooooooo good! Very nice explanada but unfortunately Had to eat inside , no table open outside. The interior is nicely and tastefully decorated. Simple but pretty. Bathrooms very clean. To the food: Polished an appetizer of melon and presunto: Ripe and tasty melon. Presunto not salty. . full Cataplana of seafood. Exquisite! All washed down with a 1 Bottle of adega ponte de lima, green wine. Oh my what a meal. Thank you João , my waiter. You are a wonderful professional. It was the only restaurant that was full - even better: the only one with customers. I saw the famous Padron peppers on the menu (3 EUR) and ordered them, followed by bacalhao ao forno (cod from the oven) - I think at 8 or 10 EUR. That was decidedly too much: the plate of pimentos would already have been more than enough for me alone. House wine and water and expresso later brought my bill to 16.5 EUR. Excellent quality for its price and brisk but friendly service.

Four of us shared two delicious bowls of vegetable soup and two salads (ensalada mista). Both were fresh and tasty. For entrees two of us (one being me) had the chicken breast with black beans and rice, one had grilled soul, and one had grilled cod. The portion sizes were extremely generous and everyone enjoyed their meal. My chicken breast was like the very best chicken schnitzel ever.... it was pounded flat, lightly breaded, and pan fried. It was served with lemon slices and tasted light and fresh and delicious. And.... it was complimented perfectly with the house Vinho Verde. Wow!

We continued down to the coast where we found an area with ample parking, and after a quick walk around we decided on Os Remos. Feeling adventurous, we opted to "be surprised" by our host. Enjoying shrimp, octopus (the most tender I've ever had!), roasted peppers, muscles, and finally both grilled and boiled lobster, we even opted for their handmade desserts. Absolutely delicious & would highly recommend!
