Just spent an amazing two days on the lake. We rented the 30' Pontoon boat from Sequoyah for both the 3rd and the 4th. This is a wonderful boat for cruising and just hanging out on the water of Norris Lake. With room for 15 adults this boat provides the perfect platform for entertains friends and family. After a day on the lake, let someone else do the cooking with dinner inside the Marina restaurant, or on the outdoor patio. One of the bigger nicer marinas at Norris lake. The staff at all the marinas are just the nicest most helpful people. Love this lake. It's so peaceful. We usually rent a boat for a few days ... not expert boat drivers. When we drive the boat up to all the marinas to get out or refuel they all are quick to help get us tied up to the dock and secured. All the employees have been friendly and get attitude. We have rents boats here but this time we were staying near another marina. They all are good to rent from ... I'd suggest you rent from the one near where you stay. the lake is huge so distance is a big factor. read more

We reserved a pontoon. Had confirmation via phone. Confirmed again this morning. Got to the lake and was told there is no reservation and the boat we were supposed to have had been given to someone else. They had no other boats available. We had people from Indiana in our group. The only offer they had was 20% off the next time we wanted to come. Bad offer, bad situation, bad customer service. They can keep the 20%, we will never be back. read more

We rented a boat from the house where we were staying and made the trek up to Sequoyah for lunch. As amateur boaters we had no idea what we were doing but were greeted by the staff at the dock and helped us tie our boat up and fuel it up. We grabbed some food which wasn't great, but we saw all of the boat crew guys running and providing excellent service to all of the customers. I guess the southern hospitality really is a thing! read more

We could go to two different marinas from our house. This one was on the ball every time we showed up. Attendants waiting on us to arrive and help us dock. Very courteous! Inside they allowed us to look at their phones and computers to see the weather radar. read more

Just stopped in briefly to gas up, this was my first ever time setting foot here. There is a wide variety amongst the different marinas on Norris Lake, seems this one is the ritzy, high-class establishment, just take a look at all the nice houses along the shore if you don't believe me. I always judge a place by their selection of craft beer, this tells me a lot about who their clientele are. Nice selection of beer (take a look at picture), was shocked they even had some nice craft beer on tap too! This place was clean, well kept, and nicely designed. Was told this is where the rich kids come. They had an attractive restaurant downstairs too with what looked like a decent menu. Nice patio area as well. Such a contrast to Hickory Star Marina. read more

***BUYER BEWARE*** We were warned to double check our bank statement after using our debt card there and sure enough just as the two groups that warned us, we were double charged for our meal. The location has yet to call back about the issue. If you are going to eat here pay with cash or be ready to watch your statement. read more

Sequoyah Marina is just up the street from my family's lake house, in fact we typically just drive our Volunteer (can't call something a Gator in Tennessee) when we want to stop by the establishment. Its a great place for Breakfast, on Friday's for Wings/Coronas on the patio, to buy beer (if you're in a pinch, because its rather expensive here), to gas your boat (see prior warning about prices), or to just sit on the balcony for people-watching. Annually, they have a fireworks display that will rival anything in the area. We've made great memories at the marina, but it gets a lower score because the prices for their slips have skyrocketed to the point were we could no longer justify keeping our boat here. read more

What started as an icky day, turned into a great day. The weather was meh, which the marina couldn't control. The water was calm and boaters were mostly polite. Our boat broke down in the middle of the lake, one of the guys came out to try to fix it, to no avail. They brought us a new boat and then gave us 2 extra hours. Then when we got back, no gas fee! cheap Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) rental... only $15 + tax!

We went to this marina for the past 3 years during the summer and we have always rented a pontoon boat and either one or two jet skis. This year has been one of the worst experiences that I have had in the history of going there. We rented a pontoon boat and two jet skis this time. We got there and everything was fine. We were told that the two jet skis just got refurbished so any marks on the jet ski to not worry about because they had already taken pictures of them. We were on the lake for 7 hours and decided to come back in. When we were checking the boat and jet skis back in a gentleman shouted to another man "be sure to check this jet ski because it was just refurbished". That right there rubbed us the wrong way because that is something that you don't yell out between coworkers; you go to the other coworker and let them know this. That made us feel like we were doing something wrong and we did nothing wrong. I walked away with my two young children and my friend so that my husband could handle this situation with the manager; after going through 2 other people that said we damaged the jet ski. Finally they let us go after 15 minutes of talking with them and letting them know that we were told there were already marks on it and to not worry about them because it was documented. They said not to worry about it and had us sign two receipts that were for the filling of the jet skis fuel. Well next day we are at church and while walking out my husband is checking his credit card statement and they charged us almost an extra $50! So he calls them and they try to say that they had to charge $50 for the fuel on one of the jet skis. One, it does not take $50 to fill a jet ski and two, we signed two receipts to fill the jet skis. My husband had to send them pictures of the credit statement so that they would credit the $50 back to our account. It honestly feels like they tried to pull one over on us for the marks on the jet ski that we did not put on there. And the fact that they did not call us to inform us that they were charging more to our card is phishy in the first place. We are never going to this marina again. read more
