My son and DIL are celebrating their wedding anniversary this weekend and since we live in the Bay Area, we decided to send a flower arrangement to help them celebrate their day. After checking out the floral businesses online, I chose Sequoia Plaza Flowers and I purchased a lovely arrangement and paid to have it delivered later that day. I also alerted my son to expect a delivery. Late in the afternoon I got a call from him advising that nothing had been delivered. On checking, I found an earlier email advising me of the flower cancellation due to the specific flowers being unavailable. Even though the shop was closed for the day, I called the florist number and ended up talking directly to Michelle, the owner. On hearing my story, Michelle quickly volunteered to make a similar arrangement and also deliver it to my son and DIL. She was extremely kind to offer that (it was late on a Saturday afternoon and her store was closed). She not only made a very lovely replacement, she delivered it too. My kids were thrilled and loved the flowers! Michelle went above and beyond to help out this very happy customer and I highly recommend her floral shop. Sequoia Plaza put together a top-notch bouquet. More importantly for me, they were exceptionally helpful during the ordering of the (designer's choice) arrangement, patiently going through all the elements of it with me, asking questions to customize it best and giving suggestions when I didn't have answers. I had just placed an order with a different florist company with a penchant for alliteration in their name, but they were so perfunctory and unhelpful that it left a bad taste in my mouth after putting in the order so I decided to try again with Sequoia Plaza. I then cancelled my order with the prior florist after noticing the massive difference in service. I'm glad I did. I feel like the value was good, especially compared to the other florist, which had a pretty high minimum price for an arrangement. SPF is also open later on Saturday than most Visalia-area florists, which was a major deciding factor in me figuring out who to call in the first place. Strongly recommend for anyone else who might want some extra assistance in figuring out how to order some flowers. Also recommend placing a designer's choice order over the phone or in person rather than online. Let the pros work their magic. read more

This is what we got delivered to a Covid patient for $90!!! If this is a $90 bouquet I'm a super model. Do not recommend. I selected florist choice. It's apparently a florist whom makes poor choices. This is especially disappointing as we always try and do business with small local florist in order to keep money local and it's this kind of thing that makes people choose 1-800 flowers. I walked in to the most cozy flower boutique I've ever seen! The customer service was superb! I asked for a small bouquet for my wife to celebrate our anniversary, they asked if I had a budget or an specific flowers or colors in mind, and they out together a beautiful arrangement! I hesitated to order from this business because of all the inconsistent reviews but I checked their website and gave it a chance. Don't be fooled by their aesthetically pleasing layout on the website. I ordered a dusty pink flower arrangement for my mom's birthday mid September and when it arrived, they were yellow flowers... I contacted the owners and we compromised with a small refund. Weeks have passed and I have yet to see the refund on my card so I messaged the owner again and I was left on read. No reply, no update. Not to mention it was a $98 arrangement for something that didn't live up to its expectations. If you're hesitant, do not waste your money and time here. read more

I have always loved the building and noticed it was noticed it was under new ownership. Old bad reviews mean nothing now. So I went in to have a look. The changes are miraculous and they are obviously just getting started. There is joy and excitement in the air there. If I could give this place, zero star, I would. I definitely agree with a lot of the negative reviews from the other reviewers. Walking in were very beautiful arrangements, but the costumer service was awful. The lady at the counter was rude and not very welcoming. Not too long after, the owner pulls up in her black Mercedes and came talking about inappropriate stuff in front of me while I was there, thank goodness because that gave a chance to get out of there! I've ordered arrangements from them in the past and they were "okay", this time I wanted to go in and voice my concern about past arrangements being on the lack luster side, but I now knowing what I know; I'll never shop here again knowing that it all stems from the owner that her employees act as rudely and unhelpful the way she does. read more

Have to agree with the first reviewer. Beware. Florist didn't come through on Valentine's Day. I understand that it's going to be a busy day, but calling me at 2:45PM letting me know that my order will not be able to be fulfilled is simply unacceptable. The website allowed orders from this morning to go through with same-day delivery. While looking for flowers, I came across other local florists' websites who disabled the ability to checkout online or select the 14th as a delivery date. Sequoia Plaza Flowers did no such thing. The person that I spoke to mentioned that I should have called to confirm the order. I tried calling Sequoia Plaza Flowers multiple times throughout the morning to confirm, but there was no answer (again, because I'm sure they were very busy). Sequoia Plaza Flowers was very unprofessional and unapologetic. I'm sure having more orders than you are able to fulfill in a day is a great problem to have, but the orders that are not fulfilled are more than just numbers, and today, Sequoia Plaza Flowers treated me like a number. Again, this is a pretty extreme circumstance (ordering flowers on Valentine's Day morning for same-day delivery), but take into account the demand, and if you can't handle it, don't allow the online orders to come in. Not knowing how to disable it on the website is not an excuse. Other florists were able to do it. If you can't fulfill the order, I understand. Just let me know as soon as possible so I can make other arrangements. If you're looking for a local florist, I'd suggest someone else. This company offered products online that were NOT available, nor was a similar bouquet available. They also offered delivery dates that were not available. After spending over an hour online, trying to pick a local florist for a sympathy bouquet, I got a phone call the next day from a woman telling me she didn't have what I ordered, it couldn't be delivered the day agreed upon online and that she didn't have a comporable flower or color-scheme to replace what I ordered. So, unimpressed is an understatement. She advised me there was a clause at the bottom of the page about all of this, but I failed to see it...I even went back to the website and didn't see it. This was an important date, and her website is still up and still says they can deliver tomorrow, yet they can't. Be careful if you order online. Promises can't be kept. I was charged $43 for a very small arrangement. I also asked for no carnations, yet the arrangement had almost half carnations.

I ordered an arrangement for same-day delivery on Saturday before Mother's Day. After placing the order online, I was cautioned in the order confirmation that there could be an issue with same-day delivery. The web page clearly stated that especially on high-demand holidays (like Mother's Day), orders should be placed a day ahead of time to ensure the desired delivery date. I called to make sure the flower arrangement would be delivered on the same day and was told that with the late order time and all the drivers already out on delivery, they would not be able to fulfill my order on the same day. I then cancelled my order. I received a call from them within 5 minutes to tell me that since one of their drivers returned, they would be able to fulfill my same-day order after all. The arrangement arrived at my mom's house within an hour of my order (and she lives 15+ minutes away) and it was exactly what I asked for! It was a beautiful arrangement! I was impressed with their service and am grateful they were able to help me out on such a busy, high-demand day. read more
