The pool is open! Kids are incredibly excited to swim finally. The pool area is relatively smaller than the photos posted on Expedia, but the kids are having a blast! Just a quick heads up, an appointment is required to take a dip. The room is clean and comfortable. The third floor was renovated according to the host, and the smell of new carpet is in the air. Plenty of parking is offered with a clean entrance. You have Chili's, Buffalo Wild Wings, and a Walmart across the street. Champagne was extraordinarily courteous and welcoming. You can not go wrong with this gem! UPDATE We made our way over to ALDI for snacks and drinks. McDonald's for dinner, you can never go wrong with a McDouble! After settling in, it was time for a shower. I took my drink and headed over to the shower. Nothing but HOT water was pouring from the fountain of the Sequoia! It literally took me 10 minutes to figure out that the COLD water was not an option! I felt like that poor girl in Wes Craven's "The People Under the Stairs." It was burning HOT! As my kids were in a deep sleep, I headed over to the phone in my white towel. The front desk personnel was unbelievably courteous and offered me another room immediately. When I walked downstairs, I was greeted with a smile and handed a new key card with the hotel's "VIP" Suite! It's late, and Ezra has to hit the softball field at 7 AM. Pictures to come!

We stayed at the Sequoia Inn November 5-10, 2023 in an executive suite. The room was comfortable and no issues, although glad I read about the hot and cold water being reversed in the shower! We had breakfast every day here and it was fine. I've had better but no complaints. Hot food when we were there at 6:00 and also 7:30. The staff were friendly and no complaints regarding them. I did hear the train multiple times a day but it wasn't loud and didn't bother me. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Due to a leak, we arrived to find these towels in the room.

Not a fan, but then again you do get what you pay for. There aren't many places to choose from in Hanford to begin with... This place is centrally located, right across the street from a mall, McDonalds, Starbucks, target and in n out are with in walking distance. Hotel has 3 floors. The hallway on the third floor has a smoke stench. The rooms are semi-clean. There are complimentary toiletries. This is a 2 star hotel; unless you really need to stay, I probably wouldn't be back.

Great place to sleep and close to food and shops. The pool was closed due to covid. That sucked. Our room was comfortable and cozy.

We were met by Ricky, the Manager, and a very friendly and accommodating person with many interesting stories to tell about the Inn. He does an excellent job managing the Inn and he made our stay that much more enjoyable. The Restaurant and main part of the Inn is a historical landmark, built in 1886. The interior of the Inn and Restaurant are beautiful, with antique furnishings, stain glassed windows, tables overlooking the expansive courtyard, lined with trees and a stately Camphor tree that is over 100 years old. The restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience, with polished antique wood including the full-service bar, stained glass windows and lovely artwork. The menu offers many choices, the chef is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable, Our room overlooked the courtyard. The Inn is very quiet with the only sound being the soothing sound of a train in the distance. We couldn't have been happier with the room, high ceilings, adorned with antique furnishings, a large stained glass window, lovely artwork, and a very comfortable bed. The room was very clean. The highlight of the room was the large Victorian tub. We were to learn that someone quite famous recently stayed in our room. If you are a cat lover, there are a couple of friendly resident cats that like to interact with the guests, one lovely little cat named "Keno" who made our stay all that much more enjoyable. The Inn is just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Civic Center Park and the historic Hanford Fox Theater, one of the few remaining theaters built in the 20s, which is fully restored to its 1929 elegance. The Park also has many restaurants, cafes and shops. Hanford was declared one of the 12 "Hidden Gems" in America Better Homes and Garden magazine and Architecture Magazine. The Irwin Street Inn location is perfect for exploring Hanford. Whether it is for planning a business convention, planning a Wedding, or just for a weekend getaway, The Irwin Street Inn is the perfect place. If you are planning on exploring the Sequoia National Park, the Inn is less than an hour's drive to the Park. We could not have been happier with the Irwin Street Inn and cannot recommend it highly enough. You are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience staying there. We hope to be back soon

Americas Best Value Inn Hanford - Broken Cooler

I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at America's Best Value Inn in Hanford, California…read more The rooms are in horrible condition -- walls are damaged, coolers don't work, and there were even bedbugs on the beds. The whole place feels very poorly maintained. The customer service was just as disappointing. When I tried to book a one-bed room, the front desk employee told me that they couldn't rent me a room because "the rooms were messed up." Just a few minutes earlier, I had been told something completely different by another employee who said they couldn't rent to me because the name on my card didn't match my ID. After I transferred funds and came back, an different employee that i've ran into a couple mishaps with then said there were no available rooms because they needed maintenance -- but moments later, I saw another guest get a room for three days with no problem. I've been staying here with help from welfare assistance, and the welfare office has always covered my stays. On this particular day, I was trying to pay myself since the office was closed the same employee that told me that I couldn't get a hotel room because maintenance needed to fix the problems in these rooms doesn't take a liking to me very much because on another particular day I contacted my caseworker to get more days in my room. She called me on a Friday and told me that she had sent out a letter and a check to the hotel for my stay I then walk down to the office and explain to them that my stay for the next 10 days are covered. They told me that I couldn't get a room because there was no Email sent to their computer after constantly trying to explain over and over that there was no email and that there was a letter being sent in a check. They still refuse to give me my room. I had to sleep outside for the weekend until Monday when I went into the welfare office and they finally sent an email I asked for my money back for the days at the welfare had covered on the weekend which I did not stay at the hotel. The older woman who works the front desk (along with her children) was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the whole situation. She refused to listen, interrupted me, and treated me disrespectfully once I asked for a refund. Overall, this place has terrible customer service, unsafe and unsanitary rooms, and very poor communication with welfare assistance programs. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel until they fix their rooms, improve their customer service, and treat their guests with more respect.

Takes a good effort to open the motel door and then safely lock it. 2. Shower stall leaks from the bottom. Almost fell on my ass when I got done after stepping in a MASSIVE puddle of water. 3. Smells funny. 4. Lights don't work, and the power outlets only have one working. You can either keep the TV plugged in, or charge your phone, or have LIGHT. 5. Real old creepy Indian guy appears to have broken eardrums. At least he's nice. 6. My TV remote didn't have batteries. And the last thing is that the entire town of Hanford smells like shit. The water, not just the motel, but in any household smells like rotten eggs. The locals got used to the funky smells of the town, their typical answer is just to spray on some Axe fragrance. It's because Hanford is a small farming community thats just a couple of miles out of Fresno. All that stinky fertilizer reeks the air, and some other stuff contains sulphur, which leaks into the faucet water. I don't meet many folks that drink the tap water directly, they prefer bottled water. It's like a poorer version of Reno. You got one lousy mall, which happens to be next to the Walmart and Sears. I do like the locals alot though. Drama free and relaxed, and they are always looking like they are high on something. They have a saying in this area, they call it "The Town of Dirty Sluts and Lifted Trucks". All of the nightlife here is composed of dive bars, and the trendier folks go back to Fresno on weekends to party.
