Jennifer Alvarado was my sales point person and I cannot imagine anyone with more patience and…read moregrace. She answered question after question over several months and never appeared put-out with my unending queries. if you are in the market for a manufactured home, give Jennifer a call. She will not steer you wrong. It has been a looong hard haul getting into my Clayton Home. I am thrilled with the home so far, but it is early days. The difficulties came from the county permitting process and PG&E. Their requirements for West County have been tightened to the point of discouraging folks from building all together unless you have unlimited funds. I had an old cabin that we disintegrating. I had the cabin demolished and a manufactured home placed on the property. I am a senior on a limited budget and every week a new regulation came up with the associated fees and paperwork to the tune of thousands of extra dollars added to the price of the home and contractor. I expected permit fees but the new regulations are beyond any expected. After 2-1/2 years of back and forth with the county, I am still awaiting the final approval on the permits. HOPEFULLY, all will be complete in the next few weeks. I am a bit concerned about the complaints I have read about Clayton Homes following up with repairs post sales. People often only post reviews to vent rather than posting about positive experiences, so I hope that any repairs I may need are done well and swiftly.

Kelly Ann G. is completely correct. I purchased a new home already set up in the park with a…read moreone-year warranty in place in 2023. Within one month, the primary shower leaked all over my new floors. Initially people tried to help at the sales office but I grew so angry with the delays by the factory in Perris, (an 8-hour drive away from which their imminently unqualified workers drive from), that Robin told me, "I am not their customer" because I didn't buy direct from the sales office, but the man who installed it and sold it to me did. You need to know that the state of California protects manufacted home owners with an additional one-year warranty because without that, I saw the strategy of the factory was to outwait the warranty expiration. Their corporate lawyer told me they would no longer help me after the warranty expired and I had to remind him of my legal rights, which I'm sure he knew. I believe becaause the majority of their buyers here are seniors, they hope to dupe them. It truly amounts to elder abuse. It took me 19-months to get the shower fixed, one I couldn't use for half of the time, after black mold developed. It was so bad I had to move out. My new floor was destroyed. Along the way, the exterior paint proved defective (to which they painted it because I let them know the park was talking). The paint job the factory workers did was abysmal. Paint spattered all over the stone on the unit and pavement because they didn't use tarps, nor did they power wash the dirt off. Ultimately, the shower leakage was due to an defective install at the factory, which had to be torn out and replaced. The shower pan squeaks (it wasn't mounted correctly) and the door had been installed backwards by their factory workers, who Ros Cabral assured me were qualified to install this. They were not. It finally took an outside contractor to fix it. You should see the scraps of lumber they used to build the surround. Now, the mirror in the bath is oxidizing, the door hardware is rusting (they didn't use stainless steel) and the kitchen drawers are falling into the cabinets below because the hardware they used was so cheap. Steer clear of this company. It is and was a nightmare dealing with them. I could go on. This wasn't all. I'm looking forward to moving out of here.

He handled the permit process with Sonoma County, which was more challenging than any of us thought it would be. Otis is so patient, and he explains things so thoroughly, and he's easy to understand. He has worked with us on every detail of our home with the utmost of professionalism. Whenever we call him, he is very quick to respond to us. That is a big plus!! Otis recommended a couple contractors to install our house. We selected one that we feel very comfortable with, Luis Carrillo who owns Global Impact Construction, Inc. In fact, our foundation was just finished this week. Bottom line is this: Hybrid Prefab Homes is the best! I'll attach photos once our ADU is delivered and installed. Ellie & Don Mitchell

This was my first home purchase and Otis helped me through the process, explaining things I did not understand and went above and beyond in making sure all details were addressed. The home had been staged before I bought it. Though holes were patched and painted, the paint used did not quite match. Otis arranged to have the interior repainted right away at their cost during Thanksgiving week, as I was already scheduled to move in shortly after. His attention to detail and follow up is something I appreciate. The home itself is a Silvercrest home and higher quality than others available out there. I highly recommend this company!
