So, there are times I waited to see if the pain would go again with stretching, and over counter medication because it is a far drive to Dr. Tran's office in El Monte. But as soon as Dr. Tran adjusts me with her soft voice, firming hands, and unhesitating movements, the pain would go away, and I can immediately walk freely! It is amazing and it works every time. I'd see a chiropractor and be suffering again in two days. I'd complain that I felt like my spine was jammed into my pelvis and the SI joint locked up. Standard decompression therapy didn't do much. I have had neck and back issues for most of my life and have seen my share of chiropractors and kinesiologists. I have compressed disks in my neck, frequently my hips are out of alignment, and a car accident a couple of years ago exacerbated everything. I've gone to a couple of DC's in Orange County but, since moving to HB, they are too far away. I was recently in dire pain because my neck gets locked up if I go for a long time without adjustments. It's been about a year (because I wasn't able to find anyone close to home that I liked/trusted) so the pain was excruciating. I called Dr. Taylor and was able to get in the same day. I am pleased and relieved to say that I have finally found a DC that I can stick with. He listened to my long laundry list of chiropractic history, taking notes and asking important questions along the way. We did a brief range-of-motion review and then he escorted me to what I will call "the water bed." It's a bed that shoots a curtain of high pressure warm water up and down the length of your body - I could have slept on that thing!! :) Once that was finished, he put me on the table, checked my alignment and gently but efficiently adjusted my mid- and lower back. I get tense when my neck is worked on because it can be painful but he was able to get my neck relaxed and adjusted it. WHAT A RELIEF! I am really glad I went to see him and will be returning today, and next week, and the week after that, and then for maintenance. If you are afraid of chiropractors, please don't be - they are not scary and voodoo. Getting adjusted is good for you spine and will prolong your posture from many years by taking care of yourself. Yes, there may be soreness but that is not the adjustment, it's your muscles adapting to the position change in your vertebrae alignment. Dr. Taylor is personable, gentle and caring.
