The "works" for neuropathy is a 3 month program, 16 visits, that costs over $26K...and none of that is covered by insurance. You get a 20% discount if you pay in full that day on the spot. There are less comprehensive, less expensive approaches to offer as well, of course. He literally has a back door out of his office to kick you out if you don't sign up. It felt like a timeshare wear-you-down sales approach to me. It is not a high pressure sales approach per se but a "how committed are you to your own health" approach. That's the hook. After a couple of visits, one in which you actually try all the very pleasant services, you arrive at the visit I will dub the "sales pitch" visit. On this visit your spouse or loved one is required to join you. The goal is to have you commit and pay something on the sales pitch visit. And commitment definitely equals plunking some money down that day. The phrase "fully refundable" was stated but I wonder what hoops one would have to jump through to actually secure that refund. I now suspect the letter we had to read at the start of the sales-pitch visit about "being" nice to the staff and that verbal abuse would not be tolerated, might be related to customers trying to secure said refund some time during their 3 month program. At $26K for 16 visits, you are paying over $1600 per visit. If you want to think about it you can't take any paperwork with you. Nor if you wanted to come back the next day and pay in full at that time will you get the 20% discount. But, there are ways to lock in the 20% discount if you pay on the spot for a one week starter program. I don't remember the prices exactly but I think those ranged around $1K. That will get you one week of therapy and keep the 20% option open. Saving 20% on $26K saves over $5000. I am sure the sales process is legal and suspect that the treatments have some level of efficacy but not at these prices nor with that sales approach. Chiropractor Richmond doesn't have to land every prospect he brings in. But I suspect that if he sells to even 5% of those "who are committed" he's rolling in cash. I have to believe that if the program were so sufficiently efficacious that there would be better approaches in which to package and sell these services. My advice is to be aware and beware. An issue that I had previously been told and learned that there was no cure available and that I would essentially succomb to this progressive disease all of the other health issues that this initial issue has created. I refuse to believe and/or accept this outcome. I have seen many doctors from all different specialties, including chiropractic, to find someone who would be able to help me. I came across Dr. Richmond's information and signed up for his initial offer to get a feel for what kinds of treatments and recovery they provide. During these 4 visits, I was introduced to all of the tools and services he offers in his practice. He does an excellent job with all of these resources to design a treatment plan that targets the whole body as opposed to just the point of pain. Based on my initial impressions, I signed up for his suggested treatment plan and we have been working on this ever since. My diagnosis is such that it can take many months to recover and return to where I was prior. Every time I have a treatment (3x per week), I walk out feeling refreshed and hopeful with some of the pain removed. Even if it's a little bit, it is huge for me. No other doctor has been able to provide me with this kind of improvement and it is having a positive impact on me, my family and my friends and more. I know I have a long way to go but I am very confident in Dr. Richmond and his staff's ability to get me there. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Dr. Richmond's staff. Each and every one of them are involved with all processes of the treatment plan. They are all very kind, accommodating, understanding and talented.
