And there was Miss Rose which made me smile. She was an asset at the previous daycare that my kids had been at, and she is still an asset at Bibity Bobity. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Thank You Jesus that there was a good daycare that my kids could go to in Sequim. Change is not easy. Bibity Bobity is a little more organized. I like how the different rooms are organized. I like how there is an option to pay more money to have our son in preschool. I like the two separate playgrounds-one for the old kids and one for the younger toddlers.

The staff won me over with their love and dedication to this small non-profit tucked away in Port Hadlock. With minimal funding this school runs on a lot of love and help from the families who entrust this place for their childcare needs. The school has about 60 students total from toddler through 8th grade. The preschool is priced right and boasts being a part of the UW Early Achievers program. The school is founded on basic Christian principles, but is not overtly religious. At one point, the school was overseen by the Seventh Day Adventist church, but isn't any longer. As a hold over from that time, however, this is a vegetarian school. One of the only vegetarian school in WA! My kids have definitely grown to love vegetables while attending here. I've found the staff approachable and engaged and extremely loving and accommodating to families. I'm so grateful for this school!

What really grabbed my attention when looking for a new place for my daughter is the fact that the director has a Masters in Education and the Program Director has taught in the military for over 30 years. I was also please to find out that each of the 'class rooms' were set up just like a traditional school, with art work, and curriculum that were being taught for that week. The other thing that really pleased me was that they provided a FDA Sponsored Food Program, which means that they provided meal, breakfast, lunch, and snack. While on a tour of the facility I got to see the kitchen where each meal was prepped and was pleased to see that they had a list of every child's allergies listed above the food prep area. I was also happy to see just how connected each of the teachers were with the children, interacting with them one on one, and how they all reinforced equality and friendship, and used a soothing voice. The boss babe, Jen, she listened and took action anytime it was needed and did her best to make your requests made- EVEN THROUGH the hardest times of the pandemic. I was so sad to pull my son out of after only being there for 6 months because I REALLY loved how they loved and cared for my son. But he started to feel unsafe and would cry and fight going. When I asked why, he would tell me the name of one teacher who just made him feel unsafe. I came to learn that anytime my son had to be around Ms. Nevi that he would do what he could to leave the immediate area. I also noticed little things that she would say or do didn't always add up. I cherish the memories we have from Starbright and was really looking forward to my second baby going there- but I couldn't continue to keep my son in a place with a teacher that he would scream in discomfort about.

The amazing director, Jen, was incredibly supportive and communicative, which eased any concerns we had as parents. Each teacher we encountered was kind, patient, and truly exceptional. We always looked forward to drop-off and pick-up times because the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The gentle parenting sessions they offered laid a strong foundation for us at home and were also reflected in the classroom. Overall, every element of the program was thoughtfully designed and incredibly beneficial. We have recommended Starbright to friends over the years, and one of them is still enrolled!
