This will of course confuse users but Yelp doesn't care *** SEPTA has a regional rail station in Bryn Mawr as well as a high speed line (HSL, or "metro") "Bryn Mawr South Station." This location is off Glenbrook Ave, across from Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop. This railway offers fast access to portions of the city and suburbs different from the regional rail line. It is perfect to access stadiums if you transfer at the 69th Street hub. Also goes up to Norristown as the final stop away from the city. The 69th Street hub also connects to access many parts of the city not reachable on regional rail. Parking is obviously easy very early in the morning, and also in later afternoon. I have not used it other times of day so I can't speak to those times.

But what about convenience? Almost all the R5 stations charge for parking. Ughh! Next you need to change trains at a big station like 30th Street or Suburban to get to restaurant row. Not necessarily a pleasant experience! Now let's talk about Ardmore Junction. It's on the Norristown High Speed Line. Let me say that again; it's fast! Parking is free which is a big plus. You change trains at 69th street in Upper Darby to the Market-Frankford line. It's a very easy change. Now you have access to all of the Market, Chestnut, and Walnut Street restaurants. If you are on the mainline, do yourself a favor and think about the Norristown High Speed Line the next time you consider going into the city.

There is parking and bike racks and there is a coffee shop/ ticket office. They have really cheap specials on parking but the spaces are usually reserved early on in the season. The website says they're at full capacity for parking but its normally $20 monthly and $1 daily. Nice to know, right?

What I like about this SEPTA regional rail station and others on the Main Line is they have kept the vintage, historical feel - with huge help of course by the community organizations. Brick walk way and the historical train building and covering over the platform- definitely gives you a serene vibe than standing on a concrete platform a plastic bubble house with minimum seating. There are lots of trees in the background too that's brings color during the fall. Since land is scarce to expand in the area, parking is better than some of the small stations ( Ardmore) but not as plentiful as some of ones out in the further burbs like Paoli. I have not counted but wiki says 117 spots. With people still WFH they parking is easy to gets spot during AM commute and Free now Usually $1 day. Warning- when I commuted pre pandemic you were out of luck by 8am to find a spot. Negative is that the parking is a bit crammed and there are parallel spots to the tracks that are across the parking spaces. There is litle space between the two so when back out you have to be careful not to hit the car parked parallel to the tracks. Also it's a one way parking lot so when when everyone is coming in in the AM and coming out in the PM it's a wait. You can also get a monthly parking pass in a selected lot on the westbound side. Convenience - a Wynnewood shopping center and Whole Foods , Starbucks and First Watch is a block away. If you are in the area and plan to commute in the a regional Rail I pick this one. 15 min ride to 30th St Station - yay!-

Buy a roundtrip ticket, check the schedule and hop a 30 minute train to Philadelphia and go where you please. It drops off conveniently at the Convention Center as well as multiple other stops that make Philadelphia more accessible for those that live in the suburbs. Train schedules are quite different from morning to evening to weekends so I would make sure to research accordingly. Parking at the station is $1 and you must pay in quarters, you've been warned. It's convenient to surrounding towns and is a major train station for everyone who commutes into downtown for work. I'm a fan.

Much better than years ago when it was a dilapidated wood structure filled with urine. Although it would be nice if there were still a Post Office there. The tunnel under the station always floods when it rains. The ticket office is barely open. Only in the morning. The digital signs are always incorrect. Cheap parking is limited, but there is ample parking in the attached Radnor Township lot. There are only 6 spots, all for monthly pass holders, on the inbound side. There are about 100 $1 spots on the outbound side, which is accessible from Matsonford Road. Look for the entrance to Archbishop Carroll.

Transferring to the Blue Line at 69th St. Station is easy and rarely a wait. Using the R100 Radnor Station and the High Speed Line shaves nearly 20-25 minutes off the trip down into Philly. And the parking, albeit limited, is free! However there is no ticket booth/kiosk, so bring correct change ($3.50 peak fare with transfer to downtown Philly). Make sure you ask for the transfer when paying the fare!
