She was really good about answering all my questions too. You can see in the photos that she's very skilled at making you photo ready but natural looking, which was really important to me. I wasn't a fan of the eyelashes because my right eye kept tearing up badly, even hours afterward. She used super high quality, natural eyelashes, I just think my eye freaks out over stuff like that. I also think if I did it again I would have my make up done a couple hours before photos instead of right before. She told me she needed 4 other girls in my wedding party to book her services in order to hire her as a traveling mua. I provided her with all of the information pertinent to the even (location/date/etc) and thought everything was perfect. I informed her REPEATEDLY that I would be traveling to San Antonio JUST for the trial this past Friday. When I arrived to my appt she asks where the wedding would be and the date. (Ughhhh... Hadn't we discussed this a billion times? ) She stated "i think i have i just booked it, but i don't have my ipad." I asked her to double check her schedule and indeed she had double booked! What a complete moron!!!!! I showed her our messages specifying the date and location of my event and she literally just said "my bad." I left immediately ! This mua is young, inexperienced, unprofessional, and unreliable. She had me drive 4 hours from Houston to SA without realizing she was double booked. She books trials at her place which is ratty. Her bathroom had dead bugs and undergarments scattered across the floor. Any professional would tidy up prior to the arrival of their clients! This mua also asks you book groups of 4-5 girls, yet she is biting more than she can chew. If you are a bride who wants to hire Texan Belle Co's services for an out of town wedding or for any event, KEEP AWAY! This moron will probably leave you hanging the day of your wedding. I decided to do a trial with her first. She confirmed the night before to make sure everything was still set in stone. I don't agree with the previous poster saying that her place is "ratty". I complimented her at how nice her place was, very clean and well kept. Crystine did my make up and I was shocked at how well her performance was! She did exactly what I wanted her to do in an extremely timely matter. She was very professional and even told me that if I didn't like it, to let her know so that she could re-do. That day I waited to see if my make up would run and to see how long it lasted. I decided to go ahead and book her for my bridal party and put the deposit down. I was referred to Lashing on the Run after I seen the beautiful lashes a friend of mine had. I…read morestarted following them on Instagram and once appointments were open, I was able to get scheduled with Sophia in no time. I received many reminder emails about my upcoming appointment so that was a plus! Upon checking in, the receptionist was friendly and had me fill out some intake paperwork. Once Sophia was ready, I was brought in to her area. She was very down to earth and told me about the entire lash process as I was a newbie. The process is timely but I was very comfortable on the lash table which is huge because I've been on some of the other tables that weren't so comfy. Sophia washed my eyelashes first before applying the new lashes. After the wash, they were dried. She then taped down my bottom lashes and got to work. Eyes stay closed during application. There will be brushing of the lashes during the process and maybe an occasional open your eyes here and there. After an hour to hour and a half later, voila!!! Lashes are fuller and thicker and look amazing. I unfortunately don't get them done often enough to remember that I have lashes. So the next day I was guilty of accidentally doing the morning wake up eye rub and caught myself mid rub!!! I was so upset with myself, oh well there went 5-7 lashes. I had to constantly remind myself that they were there because it is very easy to forget. You can't even feel a difference. I was given an eyelash brush and a card with care instructions on it for when I got home. I made my second appointment for 2 weeks later for a refill and the process was the same. Prices were very reasonable and it seems like they always have some kind of special going on so it's hard to pay full price! Personally I don't see myself keeping this up but I can definitely see myself getting them done for special occasions. And when I do, I will definitely be hitting up Sophia for an appointment!!!
