This store sells makeup (concealer, foundation, blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lip gloss, applicators, etc.), skincare (cleansers, moisturizers, acne treatments, eye creams, sunscreens, etc.), hair products (shampoos, conditioners, styling products, combs, brushes, accessories etc.), fragrances, and much more. Prices for products are moderate to high. I have occasionally shopped at this store across most categories of products, but more in the past than recently. I prefer to purchase other brands of products from competing stores. Comparatively, I think that the products at Sephora have a similar to lower quality than lower-priced products elsewhere. read more

Continued walking around trying to find a specific item. Not one person to be found. I don't usually complain but don't judge a book by its cover. I was planning on spending lots of money. Packs of 12 year olds all buying the one product they saw on tik tok, jammed in the store, screaming, trying every sample, let loose by their parents, makes for a nightmare experience. I used to hate Sephora because I couldn't get over the strong perfume smell. I don't know if I'm numb to it now, or it's not as bad, but I can stomach it much better now! I've recently been "exploring" if you will, the makeup realm a little more. I was strictly one brand my entire life, but things change, and I want to mix it up a little. I think it's a combo of being a chatty person and working retail, but I really do want to have conversations with the associates about best products to use. So the first time I came in I got set up with the Kat Von D liquid liner. I am serious about my liquid liner for cat eyes, so it was a serious convo about what to get. I'm happy with this suggestion, because I came in with specific instructions it needed to be a firmer brush. I recently bought another brand of liquid eyeliner from Ulta and hated it, so Sephora definitely steered me in the right direction. The most recent time I came in they were definitely busier and I couldn't talk to any associates. I realize it's busy, but again, I would have liked to have spoken to someone about this illuminizer I was looking to buy. I made an executive decision on which one to buy, so hopefully I don't look like a clown wearing it! I think I'll definitely be in more, but try to avoid the busier times if possible. read more

I came in today a total hot mess -- a three year old in a stroller, my seven month old strapped to my chest, my elderly mom using a walker and waiting outside, and me with sweats on and absolutely no makeup or hairstyle to speak of. She was super nice, asked questions, and gave excellent makeup recommendations, including what to buy and what not to buy. Got no judgment whatsoever. Laura, one of the store managers, was very helpful and accommodating to my request. Finally, Tabatha was very kind when checking me out. This is the closest Sephora to my house so I frequent it pretty often. I've always been into makeup but not super into it. I've mainly stuck with drugstore brands, but I've started to veer into the higher-end brands. It's a learning experience, and I would appreciate help. I've been to this store multiple times and never have I been approached, greeted, acknowledged, etc. by any of their employees. Apparently, you must fake your face and "look" as though you're ready to spend ridiculous amounts of money in this store. I DO see other customers being helped but never myself. The same thing happens with my mother. I work in retail so I get it. This is a brand that could be so much better if it focused more on customer service than solely sales. read more

I have spent a good amount of time in this store and I have to say it's one of my favorites. I've noticed at a few locations the sales lady's can be snobby. At this location I found both the ladies I had interaction with to be very friendly and knowledgable. I was looking for a product that they currently didn't have out for display. They went into the back and brought one out for me to play with. Yes that's right I play with makeup. It's just makeup it washes off. I don't wear much makeup and this is the first time I've truly shopped in a makeup shop besides makeup counters at Macy's, JCP etc. I had heard and read some negative reviews about Sephora regarding the staff's atittudes throughout the US,but, I had a wonderful experience at South Hills Village! Went in for a couple of things, the associate instantly read my mind as soon as I asked for the basic stuff I wanted, color matched me, got the two things I wanted, I wanted one more thing to add on for my lips, She instantly knew what I was talking about without saying anything about my dry lips and got me a colored lip balm in a perfect everyday shade. And this was all in less then six minutes! No pressure, perfect communication on Sephora's Staff end! I've been to this Sephora plenty of times. The workers are so helpful and really generous. They have everything you need and if they don't, they will order it online right then and there. I was looking for a Tarte foundation they didn't have in stock and I had a really nice girl help me. It was quick and easy and free shipping when you order in store. I am not a person who wears a lot of makeup, but I still go in Sephora to look at any deals I can find. A few weeks ago I went in, I saw a nice sale, and put a bunch of items in my basket immediately. (I was asked if I was finding everything alright, the usual.) I then went over to get color matched with Fenty Beauty foundation, it had just came out. But then, while moving to a different section of the store with different lighting, my eyes got a little fuzzy. I suddenly felt light-headed. I told the associate I was with "Sorry, I feel really light headed and I can feel my eyesight going. Is there somewhere I could sit down?" She said "Yes, the station right over there," and motioned to the mini makeover station. By this time though, I had almost completely lost my eyesight so I asked her to guide me there. Once I was in the chair, two other associates and one brand representative were by my side, one of the associates got me a bottle of water and sweets from the back while one of the managers on duty (I think), the brand rep, and another associate stayed with me. The manager stayed with me until my hearing and eyesight were restored and I felt better. I then picked up a few more items and made my purchase. Will always go back. TLDR: I almost passed out and they took fantastic care of me. Then I bought some fabulous makeup that has been helping me turn out some real looks. Thanks Sephora! read more

This is the first review I've ever left anywhere that's bad and I don't like to be that person but it needs to be said. The makeup itself is great obviously...it's a Sephora. As someone who spends hundreds of dollars on makeup monthly and who does it for a living, I love having a Sephora close to where I live. But the staff is horrible. I have one day off a week. Most of my days are 9-9 with me going between work and school. So yes, on my off day I'll admit that I don't try. I don't put makeup on, I don't wear nice clothes, I throw my hair up and put on sweats and head to the mall to relax on the one day I get to, which I don't think is a crime but apparently they do because they follow you around like you're going to steal something every 3 second. I've literally had their employees snatch testers away from right in front of me and just smirk and walk away. Im not trying to sound like a jerk, but I don't need to steal. I never have stolen from anywhere. I have money from working hard to spend, and every time I go in I spend a good bit, but they still continue to follow you around (not asking if you need help though). I won't return to this location, I'll go to the ulta right next to the mall instead. They are much kinder and at least offer you help before stalking you. read more

I used to be a HUGE Sephora fan. Over the last 3 years I have been switching to another makeup store more often. I get 1 product from here because no one else sells it, I refuse to ever step foot in this store. The employees are beyond rude, you can look at a bunch of them all annoyed to be there, you actually have to go beg someone to help you. You get attitude if you dare ask them to show you how to put something on. They make returning products a nightmare. You now have to have the card on you in order to return anything. I don't carry all my cards on me every single time. I got store credit, most places let you use it online, not Sephora, so that store credit will sit in my dresser drawer because I won't go there. Needless to say I'll only be buying the Fresh Rose moisturizer and it'll be online. I will be going with Ulta for all my makeup needs, at least you get a bunch of people asking you if you need help, etc. read more
