Birthday Sample Gift
Michael C.

Went to get a little something something to celebrate my best friend's birthday and we were treated like royalty. Working with Cindy was one of the best experiences that I have ever had in retail. Cindy was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable of the products. She offered a couple of samples based on my skin type and skin care regimen. Best of all, my friend got Protini Polypeptide Cream, one of her favorite products, as her birthday gift. When you go to Sephora, make sure to ask for Cindy.

ALL staff members are incredibly knowledgeable meaning they hire educated, trusted, and experienced employees. The staff is welcoming and kind creating a great atmosphere. Whether it is your first time getting makeup/face treatment done or not, you will not feel like a stranger. Staff genuinely wants you to enjoy your experience. They want to inform and make you feel great. They truly want the best for you and will recommend or give you samples of products they think is best for you (they do not push to sell things.) I recommend Gina W as a facial specialist!

I recall spying out of the corner of my eye a shopping center that wasn't a mall. But, being that I shy away from shopping as a rule, it was unlikely that I would stop at a place not connected to other places so as to make any shopping I *had* to do efficient and time effective. So, no stops at the place I sorta paid attention to for [redacted] years. Is that clear? But then a time came when my reluctance to shop was paired with my refusal to be around people and my need to buy presents. You keeping up with all this? I know it's a lot. So, factors in place, I needed options. It was then that I sorta remembered this place in Green Hills that *might* have some things I could use/buy/ship and I got to searching the interwebs to make sure of it. I was in the market for fancy lotion. I knew I was in the right place because the 'lotion' was called 'moisturizer.' I really got the hint when I saw the price point. This isn't Jergens, folks. Thankfully, in addition to a picture and price point, the inventory came with copy. I could read flowery language that made me feel good about the purchase I was to make. I mean that sincerely. If you're going to drop coin on a luxury, you should know what you're getting. I felt as though I was reasonably informed enough to know what I was getting. I picked the product, ordered, paid, had it shipped, and tracked the shipping like a hawk. I was determined not to let this magic cream fall victim to a porch pirate. It arrived. It was opened. It was oohed and ahhed. It was worth the money. *I would never do that...

Upon moving to the Nashville area, I was hell-bent on finding a reputable aesthetician who is both knowledgable and experienced in working with black skin. Camille has been servicing my skincare needs since my arrival over a year ago and I couldn't be happier with my results! While I do not typically struggle with major skin issues, I do have concerns with hyperpigmentation and hormonal acne. Camille has been phenomenal at keeping both issues at bay *and* providing a luxurious experience. She is incredibly skilled and always customizes my treatments to target my current needs. Nashville Skin Company now offers a 3-tier subscription service for less than $200, which makes it extremely easy to book my appointments in advance and stay on top of my skincare routine without breaking the bank! Highly recommend their services to anyone in the Nashville area! Forever thankful for Camille!

I was transparent with him and his nurses about the trauma I had endured, including being abandoned by an ex-partner because of my physical appearance, and I made it clear that this surgery was my attempt to finally heal after the death of my mother and get me life back. I put my total trust in his hands to fix the crease and areolas I came to him for; instead, his care resulted in physical deformity and a total breach of professional conduct. He took my money, ignored my specific surgical goals, and left me more broken than when I arrived. The Physical Facts and Deformity I paid nearly $5,000 specifically for a nipple papule procedure. Instead, my nipple literally fell off in the shower. For months, I sent emails in distress after my surgery before my nipple went down the drain. I was terrified. When I asked for even a partial refund for this $5,000 failure, he refused. Deformity & Scarring: My stomach and breasts still appear as "one piece," as do my back and buttocks now. I paid for a butt lift and I am now left with a deep "ditch" crease extending from my butt crack to my mid-back. It is tight, hideous to look at, and painful. I had a curvy physique before, and now I am flat. Beyond that, I have painful "black popcorn" rugged scars that did not exist before. They are jagged and ugly, extending under my armpit and to my back. My previous incisions were smooth and neat. He kept saying it would be you but better. I am not better, it is worse. Failed Revision: My areolas, werent moved or lowered, which is something I specifically paid for. He kept saying it was improved, but they are in the exact same spot . After a follow-up, he saw me in the hallway and said, "At least they look good with your clothes on." He said it with a smile like he was proud. I sent him a picture of me in office attire with one nipple sitting near my collarbone, poking through my shirt on a Zoom call. It was so embarrassing. I wondered why people were looking at me like that. You can see it sitting way up high in the photo--right breast high, and no nipple on the left. I can't wear office clothes without feeling humiliated. I close my eyes when passing mirrors because I can't bear to look at myself. Unprepared Post-Op I was sent home with surgical drains despite no prior disclosure or care instructions. I was just given a bag full of stuff I didn't understand. I was so lost and confused after my surgery, having no idea what to do with the drains. Now, he has "divorced" me. He emailed me the consent form to release my records at his request, not mine. Because I am on HRT (hormones) and need mammograms, I am now left without a physician to consult with my gynecologist for these necessary cancer screenings. He took my money and left me with medical risks. The Professional Conduct and Verbal Aggression At my six-month checkup in October 2025, it wasn't getting better. He told me to wait until May 2026 for another revision and marked my body again, showing where he would make incisions between my breasts--an area he admitted surgeons normally avoid. He was willing to scar me further even though he admitted the crease was "destroyed" and the surgery wouldn't fix my problem. He insisted I pay even more money for this, despite my nipples falling off. He even made it about himself, complaining that his bills were going when I asked him for at least a partial refund. I sent an email to his office manager asking again for a refund, she had me make an appointment with Dr. Wendel. I did and took my 80 yr old Vietnam veteran dad with me for support. Dr. Wendel was verbally aggressive and yelled: "I don't care how many family members you bring up there, I'm not giving you your money back." AND I QUOTE. He then stormed off. Before the surgery, he was shaking my dad's hand and thanking him for his service. To treat my father that way? My dad did nothing but try to support his daughter. Any parent would.I wouldn't expect a second-class basement mechanic to behave that way, let alone a physician. Conclusion I signed consent forms while nurses called him the "boob whisperer" and told me I could trust him. As a Christian and fellow woman, I trusted them. I have worn a bra 24/7 for nearly a year because he made me believe the crease might form that way, knowing it wasn't true. He told me my crease was destroyed when I came to him so if it was destroyed, why would he take 25k from me? He told me I should be "glad" he took my case and that no other doctor would touch me, which is a lie. Another doctor said they could help, but I can't get the surgery because Dr. Wendel refuses a refund. He keeps saying "it's improved." It's not improved. It's changed, but changed doesnt mean better. I am deformed, humiliated, and out of my life savings.

I had a wonderful experience at Curcio Dermatology. I found their services through ZocDoc…read more(confirming that they accept my insurance) and was able to schedule an appointment online. The day of my appointment I was ten minutes late (thanks, rainy Nashville traffic) but the office was very accommodating (I called to let them know that I would be late). Everyone was super friendly and patient, from reception to assistant techs and the physician herself. I felt well informed, respected, and heard during my appointment. I came in with a worrisome mole, which they were able to send off to labs immediately. The procedure was quick, painless, and I was pleased with the communication of aftercare. Every step of the way I was informed about what they were doing, if there would be any additional cost, and there was room for questions. I am glad to have found a provider so close to home that provides quality care. I strongly recommend Curcio Dermatology!

Absolutely horrible experience - avoid this practice at all costs…read more I visited Curcio Dermatology in Nashville for a very minor skin irritation while I was in the U.S. The entire appointment lasted maybe 10 minutes. At check-out I specifically asked about any copay or balance because I live overseas and wanted to settle everything before leaving the country. I was told verbatim, "You're all set, nothing is owed today." Fast forward almost a full year later: my relatives in the U.S. forwarded me a collections notice for a $40 copay plus an additional ~$200 that my insurance had apparently already paid them. When I reached out (politely) to explain that I was told I owed nothing and asked for clarification, the response was immediate hostility. I was bombarded with aggressive emails from their billing person "Amu," complete with threats to send me to collections and damage my credit, even though I no longer live in the United States. It's now obvious what happened: they submitted an inflated or incorrect claim to my insurance, got paid more than they should have, and then tried to double-dip by billing me for the copay a year later when insurance wouldn't cover it retroactively. When I pointed out that I was explicitly told "you're all set" at the visit, they didn't care and just escalated the threats. Had I read the dozens of similar reviews complaining about predatory billing practices, surprise bills months or years later, and outright harassment from their billing department, I never would have stepped foot in this office. The medical care itself was ok (it was literally a 10-minute visit for something trivial), but the billing side is unethical and borderline predatory. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else in Nashville. There are plenty of excellent dermatologists who don't resort to threats and collections scams over $40. Completely unacceptable. I will never return and strongly advise others to steer clear.
