I had a hard time deciding on an esthetician to go to and I'm thankful that I found and picked Amanda and Flourish! I've been lucky and have had pretty clear, albeit sensitive, skin for most of my life, but my skin went haywire earlier this year. Nothing I did helped clear my acne and I was to the point where I had over treated my skin and it was painful to the touch. I knew that if I wanted to clear it up and keep it clear, I need to meet with a professional to understand what was happening. In came Amanda. At our first appointment, she had me fill out a detailed questionnaire about my makeup, skincare, eating, and lifestyle habits. She looked at my skin and presented me with a few options on how we could tackle clearing up my skin. I ultimately chose to participate in her Clear Skin Club, where I went in for an acne facial twice a month for three months. Additionally, she recommended that I use certain products according to exactly what my skin needed. She provided me with paperwork that was in layman's terms so that I could understand what types of products agitate our skin and cause acne. I made the necessary adjustments to my makeup by weeding out products that are pore-clogging and using the skincare products Amanda recommended. I fully committed to following her guidance! She literally educated me on an entire world that I didn't know about and drastically improved my skin in the process. I'm so thankful I found Amanda. She helped me not only clear up with skin via facials, but helped me understand the science behind skin and breakouts in order to maintain clear skin moving forward. Once I got into their menu and I saw everything that they offered I booked a facial first. I then questioned them upside and down about every type of laser and all the services that they offer and ultimately ended up getting a monthly membership for $150 a month that comes with a service of your choice and massive discounts off of their other more expensive procedures/laser treatments, discounted rate on Botox, fillers, etc. In my past, I've normally had to "date around" with injectors to find one that understood aesthetically what my goals are and that I could trust to have the skills to carry them out. I found Annie on the first try and could not be happier!! Not only is she stunninglybeautiful on the outside but also she is the most warm, welcoming, and sweetest person ever! Her level of expertise and experience is incredible and very assuring when you are trusting someone with maintaining your looks. Apparently what she meant was the 25th and didn't realize that months have different amount of days in them and not every 25th is 5 days before the 1st. I didn't even care that when I signed up that they had to literally screw on a door for me to even use the bed bc the entire place was torn apartment. In fact, it was bc of this state of repair that I agreed to their "special promotional pricing", which I was told I would lose if I cancel my membership. Instead, I was told to pause my membership for $7 a month to keep my promotional pricing or it would charge me full price if I canceled and then returned some months later. So imagine my surprise when the special pricing lasted only 15 days and was then switched to full price (which was double). So now you can see why I wanted to cancel. The manager working at the time of me trying to cancel in person was Maddi Adams. She told me she didn't care what I was told...I was still going to get charged bc it was after the 25th. She then told me neither she, other managers, their corporate office, or MY bank would help me. It was at that point I asked her how old she was and when she said "20", I said I can tell. She then said "you're a bitch". I said I can tell you don't have much life experience if you think my bank isn't going to help me. FYI my bank did stop the payment and told me she 100% could have done it herself but chose to lie and say she couldn't. Now as if this experience wasn't enough...I found out the next day (today) that Maddi recorded me without my knowledge (remember she's the manager and on the clock) and made a tik tok with that recording of me in it. And she shared it with the public. I have now reported this store and Maddi to the BBB, their corporate office, and Indiana's labor department. Oh and I was advised to get a lawyer so I am looking into that.

I wanted to go Burgundy red for winter (think red wine color) and am naturally a dark brunette. I emailed photos of what I wanted prior to coming for the appointment and was nervous because we were going away on a trip shortly after. The stylist who did my hair was really kind, I just don't think she knew what she was doing. My hair came out orange instead of dark red. I left because I was kinda in shock and she was really excited about it and didn't know how to tell her. When I got home my husband asked me what I did to my hair so that's when I realized I had to do something and change it. I emailed immediately and even called the next day after not hearing back via email and finally I just walked in two days later (and it seemed like they were avoiding me because they couldn't get ahold of the owners to figure out what to do). Eventually they scheduled me to come back the following day and tried to fix it but it was still super brassy. I spent over $240 (they didn't charge the second time) but still was really disappointed. Unfortunately I will not return here. Fortunately I found another awesome salon across town which is way cheaper and they seem to know how to use color. My hair has since been fixed (a couple hundred bucks later and a new stylist later).

I did not find my stylist to be very receptive at urban euphoria when I told her it was much warmer than what I wanted, she basically said that was the best that she could do, and, that before the toner it looked much worse. As if that is supposed to make somebody feel better. I don't believe she let it process near long enough. She said that it was a good first step, as if I'm going to let her touch my hair again. What's really disheartening is I have never paid more for a cut and color, and I have never been less satisfied. I have since toned my hair down some at home because I was not going to go out in public the way that it looked before, I'm just sad that I have had to spend yet more money trying to fix this mistake. I even tried to share what had helped other stylist do my hair in the past but again my stylist was not receptive to this. I think she wanted to get out of work on time. I tried to maintain composure and be polite during the appointment because I can understand the amount of time put in, but when I got home and saw how bad my hair was my heart sank. Including the picture I used to try and guide my stylist and what I actually ended up with (orange)
