So it genuinely saddens me to write this, because I've NEVER had an issue here until now. Today I came in for a full set, mani/pedi gel. The problems started immediately. During my pedicure, I asked if the bowl was clean because there appeared to be something in it. The nail tech rushed me and said, "it clean, it clean juh c'mon." I put my feet in the water only to realize I was literally stepping on someone else's toenail clippings. When I pointed it out, she said, "it under the plastic no worry." That is NOT sanitary. I was moved to another chair, but that should never have happened in the first place. Then I was seated with Nee-Nee for my nails. I showed her the picture of exactly what I wanted and explained that I needed short, square nails with rounded corners because of my job. I even showed her the length I wanted. She cut my natural nails extremely short with basically no length left, and I waited because I assumed she would add tips like they've always done for me. After she completed one hand, I asked if that was the final length. Instead of simply discussing it with me, she became argumentative and yelled, "GIRL, I ASKED YOU WHAT LENGTH YOU WANT YOU SAY SHAWT!" I asked her not to yell at me and explained again that I had shown her the length I wanted. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, she told me to "speak to white girl in front!" I was absolutely shocked. Paisley came over, and I explained what happened. She offered Tony as an alternative, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the situation with Nee-Nee continued. She repeatedly talked over me until I finally asked her to please let me finish speaking. She then yelled, "FINE YOU KEEP YO NAIL!" and stormed off. I asked them to remove the five incomplete nails and stop the pedicure. I still paid for the entire pedicure and left. After 2 1/2 years of loyalty, I am extremely disappointed. The sanitation issue alone was unacceptable, but the disrespectful and confrontational customer service was what ultimately ruined the experience for me. I will NOT be returning and would strongly recommend avoiding Nee-Nee. This was embarrassing, frustrating, and completely unlike the service I had come to expect from Lake Side. If anyone knows a clean, professional nail salon that stays open late during the week or on weekends, please send me your recommendations!

Service: The appointment was for a microdermabrasion facial - $130 for 45 mins. For what it costs, I was a bit disappointed that the appointment, aside from the actual microdermabrasion (~5 mins), consisted more of a 4-5 step skincare routine - applying cleanser, applying mask, applying lotion. Application of the mask and sitting in the mask took up most of the appointment time. Extractions, hot facial steam, face/neck massages were not included. Overall: Reading some of the reviews now, it seems that Yourim is more commonly booked for eyelash extensions, rather than skin facials. If I'm ever in the market for an eyelash tech, I'd be happy to check her out again. For facials, I may have to check elsewhere.
