It looked like I bleached my own hair and used a bright box die to color it and my roots were NOT blended into the color at all. My hair is naturally quite thick, but after it was died by this salon, it was very brittle and there was breakage all over. I went in that same evening I got it done to try and get it fixed by the same salon (big mistake) - it still was not what I had asked for. I paid $300 for this and had to pay another $300 to get it fixed at James Salon to color it dark brown to salvage my hair. Not only did I spend a fortune that I wasn't anticipating, but I'm now trying to heal my hair. If you're looking to get a balayage done or any hair coloring, would not recommend going here. It does not seem that training is in place at Gwen's ... however, James Salon is wonderful! Their stylists are highly skilled and you don't need to stress over paying for something that you didn't ask for or being unhappy with your hair. Be smart with your money.

My daughter asked the pharmacist at MCR if the new pain meds could be taken along with the existing pain med. Pharmacy said she didn't know that we would have to ask our Dr. Same day my daughter went to Berthoud Drug to pick up another non related prescription and asked the pharmacist the same question. The pharmacist took the time told her what we needed to know and she was in her way within 5 min. The only negative was that she bought a beautiful dress and is now addicted to their boutique.

She cancelled the next day, knowing I had an event planned that weekend-said she didn't have enough time and I'd have to reschedule. She didn't have a single care..probably because I had already paid her. I literally looked like some China doll a 2yo got at w/scissors, it was the worst JOKE- but no joke. I had to go crying to my friends and have them gang up on my hair to help me finish it. And when I looked into what she did do- she literally had only cut the tips off, wet it down, filled it with conditioner and then halfway brushed out 8 of the 23 dreads I had. Yes, I would drive from Golden to get my hair done, cut, highlights, perm, whatever. When I got married and moved to Colorado Springs my husband and I would drive up. Yes, from Colorado Springs. We loved Fort Collins and moved here as soon as he retired. Now we don't have to drive so far to see our favorite stylist. We are both very picky about our hair and we love her. If I ask for different colored highlights or low lights than before she gets it right every time. She is also affordable! I can't believe what some salons charge for haircolor, it's outrageous! She has always had affordable prices. She rents her booth there like the other stylists. Some have been there just as long and some of them are newer. If you try someone other than Penny, you might ask Penny what her feedback is on the level of experience of that person so you are comfortable with them. This shop is a brand-new shop that they are in so everything is new, new chairs, new sinks, all that stuff. I would say this is a great place to get your hair done, especially for big events. They don't do a lot of other stuff as far as I know. They may offer other things like lash extensions, but I would go somewhere else for those things.

She's an obsessive worrier focused on everything except the head of hair in front of her. The last straw was when she told me the price was $20 more than it ever was before.
