He not only has the medical expertise but an amazing beside manner. He takes the time to listen and make the best plan of care to fit each patients needs. I saw Laurie for a haircut and she is great, and so is the new hair salon at Restore Beauty. Laurie listens to what you want, makes suggestions if asked and then delivers every time. First poor review I have ever written on anyone....but you all need to know this happened to me so you can decide if this is the place for you! If you go here you'll see that most of the ladies that work here are nice (except the lady at the front desk, whom takes calls and dealt with me, see more on this). The quality of the products and services they offer is what we all go there for, and you need to be most concerned with what I am telling you. I am not just a disgruntled client leaving a bad review, pls keep reading....just yesterday, April 13th, 2021, I received the procedure that is for minimizing acne scarring of my face and neck surgery scar to help the appearance be less severe. The procedure went horribly wrong in that the "air" on the oxy______(something??) jet machine they injected on a small scar near my left eye was on too high and caused my eye and whole left side of my face to swell. The nurse laughed it off saying no worries that the swelling would subside in a matter of minutes, she showed me a mirror and I couldn't believe how puffy and swollen it had become in seconds. But the swelling did not go down...I could hardly see out of my left eye, despite putting ice on my face most of the way back to WY (try driving with one eye swelled almost shut...ugh!). And today, 20 hours later, it is not much better, (Update, still swollen by about 1/2 the size, with dark circle under my eye, 48 hours later). I have missing work today because it looks like I was beat up by someone and I have a black eye. My lymph nodes are swollen, can hardly talk, or see from my left eye. We all know that old adage "No pain, no gain", but this was not supposed to happen as this procedure was to be minimally invasive, (yes I did sign a release saying I don't hold them liable if something went wrong). In addition, this is not the first time I had trouble with the procedures they did on me....over a year ago I also had the laser treatment and the procedure left bad scarred on my face as it did not heal properly after doing everything they told me to do. It is supposed to take a while to heal and I expected some down time, but several months later my face looked worse than before. Instead of reimbursing my monies, which was no small amount, they offered free services to fix the damage. I accepted hoping for a good outcome from this disaster. The further treatment did help, but they acted like they were doing me a BIG favor, and that I was taking advantage of their kindness in offering this to me!! At Christmas I purchased a package for further treatment (still not catching on and giving them the benefit of the doubt) and they said I needed to pay a deposit on the discounted package to hold that price. I did not know what was to happen next....Covid happened! This made making apts down in CO difficult. They were closed down some of the time, and the other part of the time I wasn't supposed to travel to Colorado from WY due to having to quarantine for 2 weeks after traveling there. When I asked for a refund on the deposit they said "No". That I was to lose the deposit if I didn't use it! Who knew this CV would last this long??!! They were going to keep my deposit!! I got upset and incredulous about this, questioning their ability to do this, and asked to talk to someone else about it, asking for more time in which to use the monies even though I lost the deal/discount on the package. I sited what I just explained, the issues with CV. I was "graciously" offered a couple of months to use it, with the lady at the desk telling me that I had received thousands of dollars of treatment for free, so I shouldn't expect the deposit back anyway!! They did ask Dr. Howten, who DID give me a couple more months to come in and use it first, before forfeiting it to them. Hence my apt yesterday, here I am now..... leaving with a swelled face and no real recourse but to give them this review. I sure can't ask for my monies back, they were "SO KIND" to offer me more time before keeping my $183.00 dollar deposit, right?! Where in healthcare or any other area are we made to feel like we are the problem, and they should be allowed to keep that kind of monies when things are so crazy with COVID. Just being out in public, and every business, and ourselves being careful not g, if anything they should be more understanding!! Maybe I to get infected! I guess I am asking to much from a business such as this, to be honest, ethical, and help me; the customer. Especially today, when reputation and word of mouth is so important. I always read reviews, and my opinion, DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE with your health and beauty here, where the customer is not first, and expecting too much from them to be honest and ethical is not something they worry about the bottom line apparently. If you have monies to throw away, and are willing to sign a release, and take a chance on your health, go ahead and make and apt. I am done with them for sure! read more

BE CAUTIOUS!!! I was completely mislead by Dr. Howton and his staff. They make it sound like you are getting this amazing deal until you are there and find out that he recommends hundreds of dollar ADDITIONAL in test to really find out what is going on. I was told repeatedly that Dr. Howton doesnt care about the money only his patients. NOT TRUE!! When explained how his staff had misrepresented his services he could have cared less and wanted payment for his consultation to the tune of over $300.00!!! He was not willing to work at all with me so he NEVER had my best interest at heart. The posting about Being Cautious is not an accurate reflection of my experience, and thus I felt compelled to respond. I started with Dr. Howton because of my health issues and certainly there were tests involved. However, test results are not all that is relied upon in diagnosing root cause issues and prescribing treatments from my experience with Dr. Howton, and I'm surprised that aspect was misunderstood - seems like all physicians require *some* level of objective testing up front... Since being a patient for over 2 years now, my health has significantly improved, along with my appearance and youthful energy. The combination of education about nutrition, the regime of supplements to fill in low spots, and finely-tuned prescriptions for my previously undetected high blood pressure and low thyroid conditions have been the key factors that I attribute to the improvement. The affordable non-surgical anti-aging technologies that are available round out the treatments, and now I not only feel better, I look better as well. I believe the Restore Health Center / Radiant Clinic professionals do care about health of their patients and that starts at the top with Dr. Howton. Some of the stories about his diagnosis of early onset of insulin-resistance in a young teenager when others were baffled, and seeing the acne scars of one of the younger staff vanish after treatment, as well as my experiences with various non-surgical procedures are proof that measurable positive results can occur. While the staff is very nice, you have to ask very specific questions about what percentage of people end up spending LOTS of money for ultrashape and velashape and get no visible results. They'll talk about blood flow, age, and hormones, but ultimately you're just out the money. read more

I have been seeing Leslie P for PICO laser treatments to fade the melasma and skin damage I have had on my face for several years. After the first 4 treatments the red/purple pigmentation was much better but the dark spots remained. Leslie went above and beyond to talk with the laser rep. and other experts in the office about this treatment. As I have very fair skin I was in need of different/higher settings than was originally anticipated. They are making it right and offering me 2 more treatments with some facial products to also help. I have had one additional treatment so far and it has been very successful in fading these stubborn spots. I really appreciate this practice because they care about their patients and making sure the treatments they offer are safe but also the most effective that can be offered.
