Ordered the chicken taco that was fairly consistent however they held back the chicken proportions compared to the STL location. Everything else was consistent. My only issue came when a guy walked in with his dog and the dog didn't look very clean. He walked in holding his dog, which was no lap dog, and literally placed his order at the counter. if you are used to really good authentic korean food then this place might be a bit dissapointing. i got the spicy pork bowl with fried rice instead of normal white rice(they forgot to do fried rice instead) and sauce on the side. the sauce was literally just a thick gochujang paste which i didn't really love, i wish it was a gochujang mayo. the pork was not really spicy but a bit flavorful (mostly just gochujang flavor) and greasy/fatty. i wish the veggies were seasoned with a dressing of sorts. overall not an awful place to get mediocre college approved korean. the service was fairly fast and the ambiance is best described as "barren college atmosphere". read more

Seoul taco is located right on the main downtown strip and offers a Mexican/Korean fusion menu. Once you walk in, there's an ordering station and self-serve drinks. Not 1 minute after we arrived the gentleman behind the counter offered up exceptional service! I asked what he recommended and gave me a detailed breakdown of each menu item all based on hunger level. I have never had such good service at a chain before. My husband got the pork burrito and I got the steak quesadilla, and wow. Both meals were delicious!!! The sauces added to the quesadilla really drove it all home. This place has so much potential. But it was pretty disappointing. The rice was mushy and bland, the order was wrong on two of the four dishes we ordered and the lettuce was a miss in the dishes we had. The spice was nice in the burritos and the galbi was seasoned well but the rice made us both want to not finish the meal. I know Korean food and loved in Seoul for three years, I've eaten Korean/Mexican fusion both in the states and Korea so I know the potential is there. Hopefully they figure it out. read more

If you are looking for a bulgogi bowl I would recommend their's the only thing I had to add was kimchi which wasn't that much extra. The inside has good artwork but just feels a little empty. The cashier was great he was able to help with food choices and didn't have to ask what kind of protein I wanted he just knew lol. The churros with the strawberry sriracha sauce was bomb, and the dumplings were great as well. My biggest complaint would be that they do not go light on the kimchi on any of their dishes; I could argue that Seoul Taco has stock in the kimchi industry and has to get their money's worth. They pair it nicely with rice and some red sauce that I don't know what it is but it's in the tacos too. I liked the taco sampler better because I was able to taste different things with one order. I had the 3 tacos and they were good. Today, I'm pleased to say I'm giving them 4 stars.. Lunch was very good, I had tacos full of cheese and steal and they were very flavorful. :) Fresh, well-executed Mexican/Asian food with a flair is served up in a stylish space. I'm not a huge fan of fusion food, but given that this is a nice quick place to stop for lunch. Line up at the counter to order your food, it won't be much of a wait after that as the food is prepared fairly quickly. I did love the kimchi, and opted for the Gogi bowl which was a great choice. The atmosphere is pretty bare bones - this is a stop in and grab a bite type joint, not the kind of place that makes you want to sit and gab for awhile. This place is tasty and fast, though not too much bang for your buck. I ordered the Bulgogi Steak Gogi Bowl with Seoul Sauce. The Gogi Bowl is more food portion-wise than their 3 tacos deal, people I was with who ordered tacos mostly reported that they wished they had more food. While the Gogi Bowl was a good amount of food, I was paying mostly for rice and lettuce and a single sunny-side up egg, all of which were not dressed or seasoned in any way making the dish as a whole underwhelming and bland. The saving grace is the meat, which is deliciously smoky and tangy. Unfortunately, the portion of meat I was served seemed very small compared to all of the other filler ingredients in the Gogi Bowl. I am a huge fan of sauces in general, and I can tell you that their Seoul Sauce packed a pleasant amount of heat. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste any other flavors in the sauce besides spicy. I love Korean street food, but this place just falls a bit short to me. I'm missing that punch of umami that Korean Street Food typically has, but on a brighter points this place is deceptively good for groups, and a good, rather healthy quick eat. read more

Dropped by Seoul Taco and ordered a bulgogi steak burrito and an assortment of tacos. A Chipotle-sized burrito emerged reasonably quickly, notably also featuring fried rice and Korean-inspired sauces. Overall taste was that of sweetness. Despite featuring "bulgogi", the marinade was mostly soy sauce and sugar and lacked a forward ginger note that would freshen up the burrito and give more of an authentic bulgogi flavor. Similar conclusions about the tacos, though the chicken and pork didn't share the heavy sweetness of the beef. Overall, good for a tasty lunch, but nothing revolutionary. read more

Unique little spot in downtown Columbia. Hard to find places with Korean flare, so had to try this place that focuses their dishes with the culture. The place is a pretty good size. We last went when it was fairly warm out, but it was absolutely freezing inside. I mentioned to the staff how cold it was, which they agreed it was, but did nothing about it. Food is pretty flavorful I'd say. The bulgogi is tasty, sauces are good, and I like the different menu options. Downside is that they're not always stocked with everything on the menu. The two times I went it happened both times when I wanted to try something. They also tend to put too much sour cream on their nachos, but I guess that may just be a personal opinion. Something to try if in town and trying to find something to eat that's different! read more

I got the Bulgolgi burrito and let me tell you, it was excellent. The beef tasted excellent (just like you would hope Bulgolgi would taste like) and was cooked properly. Somehow, the kimchee fried rice inside the burrito was also really good and there's tons of it in there. Seoul Taco is one of those restaurants that seems to thrive best in a college town. It bills itself as a "fusion of Mexican, Korean, Asian" food. The establishment is located in the heart of Columbia Missouri's downtown and is decorated in what I'd call, eclectic hippy style. I ordered the house tacos with beef and Claire got a gogi bowl with beef. We shared an order of kimchi slaw and a soft drink. Total bill came to about $16 and change. The tacos were average sized, served in a soft, fresh, flavorful corn tortilla wrappers. They were stuffed with greens, black beans, green onions, beef, and drizzled with a spicy sauce. The beef was amazing. Full stop. Small bits were tender, sweet/caramelized, and had a distinct steak flavor. Tacos were the best I've had anywhere. Claire reluctantly let me try her gogi bowl and it too was excellent. Quite a large serving in a wooden bowl. Very fresh salad greens, clean and dry. Large amounts of the same, excellent beef. A base of sticky, sweet rice. A swath of a dark, thick, red paste that was spicy and reminded me of beets. All of this was topped with a fried egg. Least impressive but still very good, was the kimchi slaw. It was overly sweet for my taste and come in a very small serving for $2.00. Barely enough to count as an appetizer for one person. Overall, quite a find and this will become on of our go to places in Columbia! read more
