Chris is Amazing therapist, and I think he's the best handsdown! He is a great listener to all of your issues and addresses them accordingly. If you want to feel good soon, then sign up as his client as quickly as possible. I've had many massages in my life and nothing comes close to Chris massage! read more

The folks here are wonderful, responsive and the massages were excellent. I came in with an incredibly stiff neck, and left not only pain free, but able to turn my head at a normal rotation (something I had not been able to do for weeks). Can't recommend highly enough! read more

What a relaxing, friendly massage. There isn't much parking that's really close, but this is in the heart of hilo. What else would we expect. Rest assured there is ample parking on front Street with a nice stroll to get to your massage! Upon entering I was greeted by a very kind and sweet hostess. The chairs are extremely comfortable and the ambiance is so fitting and tranquil. I didn't get a chance to look or go to the bathroom as I didn't need to go, however, if it's as clean as this place... Give them a try! I did and I'm so glad I did!!! read more

Fantastic! It was my first time getting a massage since I've had a horrible knot in the upper left back. Walked out feeling like I got a new body. The clinic is so clean, professional, and felt so safe. I definitely recommend stopping by. They also have a membership program which is definitely worth checking out. read more

Honestly, I've had massages in all types of places from spas to schools to specialty and I didn't notice anything different with this place. Just to be sure though, I did go several times. Sorry, but I don't get what the hype is about. I wish I did tho because some of these reviews are amazing. Not my experience though. read more

My husband and I decided to get a spare of the moment massage. Restorative was able to fit us in quickly. I had Irene and my husband had Jessica who were both amazing. Not only did I get a full body massage but Irene also took the time to focus on areas I needed the most. My husband expressed that Jessie applied perfect pressure for him and Irene did the same for me. We both got pain relief and were very satisfied. Definitely will come again. read more

Fantastic massage. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Felt like the massage therapist was truly assessing what my body needed.

Called last minute for a same day appointment. Chris was able to get me and my friend in. Angela was my massage therapist and she was an absolute gem! Will definitely be back! And there is the most well behaved spa dog, Whiskey read more

I was suffering with sciatica until I went to Restorative Massage and met Kimberly. She is amazing. After 3 cessions my sciatica was gone and I feel like a brand new person. I highly recommend Kim. Worth every penny. read more

I had a kink in my shoulder blade and he worked on it directly for 30 mins and it never came back! He was a student but very good at gently finding the right way to manipulate my knot. The prices are the best at the school. Highly recommended! read more

Oh. My. God. I will start this by saying I'm a massage junkie. I've probably gotten one in every corner of the world of every variety at this point, and I have no problem stopping someone halfway through and walking out if it's not worth it and they're not improving. Ima word, I'm a massage snob. Chris, the owner, is literally one of the best massages I've ever had. Hands down. Period. I'm a former athlete, so it matters to me that the masseuse knows how your tendons and muscles and bones connect to know where the fascia trigger points are that can release something elsewhere in your body. He knows. He was gentle but firm in the soft tender spots, went super deep on the big knots and muscles and paid close attention to when things would release and he moved on to the next. It felt like he was literally working my body out like a master artist plays an instrument. I went with my boyfriend and got a 4 hand massage first, and Chris worked on him with another person. He said he was amazing - so much that we went back two days later so I could try him in a solo massage myself. I wasn't disappointed. If you are on the Big Island you HAVE to go see this man. You won't be sorry! (And they give you mimosas before your massage, and have the CUTEST little dog) read more

My oahna came to Hilo on vacation and stumbled upon Restorative Massage Clinic as we were driving by. Since we had some time to spare before our plane back home, we decided to see if they could get us in right away. As, I walked through the door. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and the calming smell of aromatherapy. With our luck they were able to get us in right away. We waited about 10-15 min as another therapist was called in to accommodate us so we were waiting for her arrival (since I requested a girl). My husband and I totally enjoied our massages. We get massaged back home pretty frequently and this had to be one of the best we had in a long time! I'm so bummed that's their on Hilo and not in my hometown! When we go back to Hilo we will be definetly stopping by again! Very worth it! 1. Amazing friendly Staff 2. Acommadating 3. Clean 4. Very specific and professional therapist. read more

My co-worker recommended this place and I'm so glad I tried it out! Clean and comfortable with a very welcoming atmosphere. I got a same-day appointment because I was having pain in my upper back/shoulder. My massage therapist, Pua, was very receptive to my needs and I immediately felt comfortable with her. I honestly felt like a friend. Their kama'aina rates are really good and reasonable. I signed up for the monthly membership and can't wait for my next session. Thank you Pua for alleviating my pain! read more

When the request is for "deep tissue" that is for a reason! Once into the session it is stressful to have to change to a "therapist" that can provide the requested service. Arrived for a 9:30 am appt. Sign on door, closed. Had to go in anyway only to find no one ready and very cold inside. Massage interrupted by the constant application of hot towels. Because of how cold it was inside, the towels became cold too, immediately! $120 for 60 min. which included tip. I always believe in tipping even though service not professional. Recommend Awakening Healing Massage Center on block away. read more

Found this place on a last minute whim. Visiting from Los Angeles during the holiday weekend to explore the Big Island. After hiking on every hiking trails given by the travel guides, a deep tissue massage was beckoning. Now this is going to sound terrible, but honestly I had low expectations of going into my Hilo massage experience because I've been spoiled living in LA. But this massage experience here is definitely at high level. I have a sciatic on my left hip and my massage therapist knew exactly what to do and she help rolled the pain. And I've been going to physical therapy for over a month now and my PT haven't seemed to fix my sciatic. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about muscle pains. I also like that it's clean and they use aroma therapy with hot stone treatment. Definitely recommend checking this place out. If this place was in LA, I would be a frequent patron here. read more

Really an excellent experience. This is a gem of a place in Hilo. My cousin and I were on vacation over the holidays and struggling to chose a wellness and massage place. We were so thrilled at the staff and treatments that we went twice! Great find in downtown Hilo: friendly, experienced practitioners and I can't wait to return. read more

My experience with Serena was exceptional. She expertly blended modalities to create the perfect massage of therapy and relaxation. It was truly a blessing. My only regret was that I didn't have time for a 2 hour session. I'm a bodyworker myself and I cannot advocate enough. Book with her, you will not regret it. read more

Extremely good I highly recommend going for a full body massage here. Me and my husband we both are here in Hawaii for the 1st time. We were exhausted and found this place on Yelp randomly. We had to stop by for massage after a long day. We had a 60 minute massage, we did come out with smiling faces . read more

Highly highly recommend! I booked a somewhat last minute massage here and had one of the best massages in my life with Kim. I feel like some massages tend to just run through a basic routine, but the massage at Restorative was catered to my feedback from the intake form (and likely to the many knots in my shoulders). The massage therapists here are professional, clinical and highly trained. My husband and I had a couples massage but had very different massages - what we had in common was that we agreed it was one of the best massages we've ever had. If you ever are in Hilo and need a massage, definitely recommend coming here! Huge thank you to Kim, I left feeling like I had a new back! read more

Customer service is on point! I booked an appointment online the night before, someone called the next day to confirm. I also appreciated the text reminders. The massage was a gift for my husband. He really enjoyed his massage. Banka was amazing! My husband left feeling relaxed, head to toe. Can't wait to return. read more

My husband and I both got 90 minute massages and really enjoyed them. I had Jessica and my husband had Blanca (sp?). Both were able to apply quite a bit of pressure which we needed. We were sore from driving around and sitting in the car while exploring the island. You can hear the road outside but it was white noise-like. If we lived nearby this place would be in the rotation. read more

I was visiting from the mainland this past Christmas and had really bad lower back pain and I could barely walk. All I needed was one session and some targeted deep tissue massage and I was kayaking the next day. (Okay, kayaking maybe wasn't the best idea considering but I had already paid for it). My point is, it was the best decision I made that trip. I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation in relative comfort thanks to the folks at Restorative Massage Clinic. read more

I highly recommend Restorative Massage Clinic....Elena (I think, sorry I forgot name). was fantastic and receptive to my needs. After 4 days of hiking in Kona, my hip was achy and tight. She released all the right spots. And the overall massage was perfect. My only complaint is that I wish I scheduled 90 minutes instead of 60.. my bad. I will definitely return when I visit Hilo Again. read more

My friend has been going to see Chris for almost a year. He has helped her so so much (she does intense exercise for her job, and has a few ribs that tend to go out of place, so a weekly massage is almost a necessity). 10/10 would recommend. read more

My first appointment with Restorative Massage Clinic was a great experience before I even got there. I made the appointment online, but their receptionist was prompt to contact me with my preferences beforehand and even reached out after they received a missed call from us (no voicemail was left by us...how thorough of them!). Immediately upon arrival, I was impressed by the aesthetic of the clinic. Very clean and pleasing to the eye. The same receptionist, Michelle, was quick to help us and we were offered complimentary mimosas and water. Bonus, the clinic owners dog greeted us with a friendly snoot boop. Honestly, that was probably my favorite part of this place. The intake process was thorough and easy. Banka worked with me and she was very friendly and had a great energy. She even took me early! She discussed my problem areas with me that I had marked on my intake packet and asked what my preferences were. She took deep care in my time with her, really focusing on my problem area but never to neglect areas that were surprisingly unknown problem areas too!! She was very easy to feel comfortable with. In fact, all the staff here were great. Above all, the customer service is really notable here. I ended up getting the membership, because I'll definitely give my money to this clinic long term. I'm loyal now. Status: Taken. My gaze will never stray from this clinic. Other massage clinics where?! I have eyes for no other. Michelle went above and beyond and I ended up booking three services for a few weeks out before I left. Michelle, if your boss reads this, this is my official "she should get a raise" suggestion. *nudge nudge* It was a really great experience. 6 out of 5 stars if I could. read more

I had a great all around experience. The staff was friendly, the clinic was clean and relaxing and John gave me a great massage.

I love this place! Christina is absolutely incredible. I have social anxiety and normally massages are at least a little stressful, but I feel extremely comfortable around her. My shoulder was giving me a sharp pain when I would stretch or move my arm over my head. It began to affect my hobbies and career. I started to lose hope with trying different therapist and clinics, but then I was excited to hear that restorative massage clinic offered a joint rehabilitation package. With 10 treatments done and 20 more to go, I've already gained my range back and now can stretch pain free. I'm so excited to keep working on it with the massage therapist Chris. They really care about making your pain go away, with monitoring my progress and giving me homework and light stretches to do at home, I really feel like I've regained my shoulder and my life. read more

What just HAPPENED!! I feel like a brand new person. I've been in so much pain for many years & suffer from migraines. I have never...
