Sento is a fantastic gym. The main downfall is that it's really pricey, but it's the high price that also keeps the volume low, so you can't have it all.
The gym is on the second floor. The exercise area is pretty small but has all the essentials and some nice extras including an assisted pull up machine and heavy bag.
On the third floor there's a sauna, jacuzzi, water massage table (amazing) and even two swings to relax on. They also provide free bath salts to scrub your feet, and also tea and water. This area is probably what sold me on the gym.
One more level up there's a roof top deck with lounge chairs, which I haven't had a chance to enjoy since it's winter, but that must be fantastic.
The facilities are impeccably maintained and the staff is very nice. Many of them are also trainers, and are willing to help you out during your workout. They initially start you off with a free session to set goals and create a schedule and then it's up to you if you want to get more training or just more casually get help here and there.
Oh and I forgot to mention there is a huge pool on the ground level. Probably the best in the area. Just check the schedule bc there are days for kids (hoards screaming lil ones come and jump on huge inflatable slides) and then there are other days for nude swimming (whatever floats your boat...). Of course they have "normal" swimming times too.
The only thing I wish is that the group classes were included but that's a separate fee and group called Club Marnix I think.
Anyway, I do enjoy the serenity of the gym at night, so while I encourage you to visit, I also secretly don't want it to get crowded ;). read more
