Too many reviews from other sites expressing difficulty in finding this hike, almost intimidated me. So glad I went. Highlight of my Italy vacation. Not hard to navigate. First, Buy a day pass on Sita bus (6e), this gives you options on where you choose to exit. We were in Positano, so took Sita bus to Amalfi. Right next to it was parked the Agerola bus. Asked the driver to let us know when we hit Bomerano Stop. Off the bus at a four way stop with a map on the corner directing us to the hike. A block up the street we enter a village square. The people there are very happy to help you find the way, but if you don't want to ask...Face the church, and on the far left you see a large hotel. Walk to the hotel, facing hotel door, look all the way to your left to the small cobblestone walk, you are on the path! From here it is clearly marked. Follow any splits towards the sign "Positano". When you get to Nocelle, you have two choices. At the top of the stairs follow a sign to the sita bus, or decend the stairs. We took a right to a nice restaurant at the end of the cooridor (Santa Croce) with one last amazing view and meal. Afterwards, instead of following the sita bus signs, we returned to the stairs and decended 1700!!! steps to the main road, From there, took a right and walked about 1/4 mile to the Sponda Sita Bus stop in Positano. Wonderful Hike! It rained the evening before and morning of our trip, and was still fine to walk. If you can negotiate the steps of Positano, you can do this hike. It was rocky with a few 24-30 inch steps to manuver, but not bad at all. We needed one bottle of water each, no hiking stick required. I saw a few people bring in a lunch to enjoy on some of the pretty turns. Again, highlight of our trip. Beautiful views. Best 5 miles you have ever been. 3 hour walk. I found it great do download google map app on my phone. Even with all data and cellular services disabled, location still works so you can see where you are on road. read more
