I've been a longtime fan of Udånder, but sadly, this is not the Udånder from the past. The…read moreexperience has become much less personal, and the new business model feels more rigid and transactional rather than the relaxing, welcoming environment it once was. Some of the small, thoughtful touches that made the spa special--like being offered hot tea--are gone. Using the locker rooms to store your belongings and freshen up before you leave is no longer an option either. Instead, you're given a basket and required to awkwardly carry all of your personal belongings with you throughout the visit. One of the biggest disappointments was how they handled our group's experience. While some of us were receiving massages and facials, they had booked a private steam and sauna appointment at the same time. Because of this, one member of our party was demanded to leave the spa in her robe and told she could either wait in the public waiting area or leave the building entirely. They claimed they had nowhere for her to relax while waiting for her next service. I find this completely inappropriate for a spa setting. A guest should never be put in a position where they have to leave in a robe and slippers or redress entirely because of poor scheduling. We had scheduled extra time at the end of our day for steam and sauna, specifically so we could access the locker rooms, yet the way the scheduling was handled made it feel like we were being rushed in and out with no opportunity to truly relax. Had we known, we would have happily scheduled additional time in between services to ensure our entire party could enjoy the spa together without being pushed out. Udånder did acknowledge this was an oversight on their part, but it was a disappointing experience nonetheless. On a positive note, the aesthetician, was outstanding--a true expert in her craft, and I highly recommend her (I wish I could remember her name) . However, if you visit, just know that the value of the overall experience isn't what it used to be. Expect to feel rushed, with no real place to transition in between services. Sadly, the thoughtful, relaxing atmosphere that once made Udånder so special just isn't there for me anymore.

Excellent massage. Great atmosphere. This was my 2nd time here and enjoyed it both times.read more

My foot soak was good, I got to enjoy my snack plate during the foot soak and then red light therapy at the end of my experience. The vibes upon entering is definitely wonderful as they immediately offer you a drink (wine or water) as you check in and fill up some medical questionnaire. And its even better as you enter the service area. During the service, they even check your scalp to make sure they provide the necessary care for your hair as well. Then after session, either they give you a blow out (which is an additional fee) or they blow dry your hair (for free). The staff were awesome and even gave me a wonderful surprise gift bag on my birthday! And if you wanna be a loyal customer apparently they have a membership. And even if you dont buy their membership they still give you a point card that gives you 10% off after your 3rd visit which is not bad. Shoutout to Aimee who made my first time a very relaxing and exceptional experience as well. Only caveat, there are add on services that unfortunately unavailable unless you have someone with you. Regardless, will definitely come back.

The YMCA has been associated with such fun homosexual acitivity for the longest time, long before the Village People got involved, and so Gaylord is a perfect name for this lovely facility in the heart of OKC. This YMCA was really nice. The bikes were pretty good but not the best kind. They only have two of them but it worked well for me, as the facility is super quiet. They only allow you to have one towel per person, which is sort of like only allowing one tampon per period. I think. Maybe. Still, better than having no towels at all. The weights equipment works really well. They have a big cross chest cable thing which I really appreciate. Not very many people use the facility as I said, which is probably for the best since it's pretty small. Same could be said about your ex boyfriend. However they do manage to pack all the equipment in quite well. Same could not be said about your ex boyfriend. The showers work really nicely. And you know what else works nicely, in the showers. The locker room is in good condition and I have no complaints. Some of the guys in the locker room were really rude but that can happen anywhere. You know what else can happen anywhere. The facility has a parking lot across the street and even though it's pretty old it works really well and I liked it. But people at the front desk were friendly. Somewhat. I'm torn between a 4 and 5 star rating for this facility but overall it was a positive experience, so we'll go with 5.
