Last weekend, I had some food delivered from this place. A sibling brought it to me. I ordered the spinach enchiladas, and a margarita. Along with the items I ordered, I also received salsa and chips. Let's do this in order, shall we? The salsa was runny; no chunks at all. It had the mouth feel of a puree. I love salsa, most of the time. But this stuff was WAY too heavy on the cilantro. We don't all like the stuff; to some people -- like me -- cilantro tastes like soap. It's unpleasant to eat in any quantity. I understand that it's traditional to use the stuff in many dishes, but a split of cilantro and parsley would make it easier on the palate. The chips were too thick and the corn flavor was overpowering. I substituted the Tostitos I had, which led to the cilantro discovery. Chips and salsa went in the trash. The spinach in the enchiladas was very clearly fresh, and that was great. The enchilada sauce had good heat. The cheese was flavorless, and a bit too much. If I could give one bit of advice, it's this: BACK AWAY FROM THE SALT!! Those enchiladas were basically a salt lick. Ah, the margarita. THAT is a reason for an encore performance from this place. They make a fabulous tortilla chicken soup. With the flu season just ahead of us, keep in mind of semi jalapeño in Struthers. This is the perfect get well soup. All white meat great flavor and might I add feels wonderful on a sore throat. Gotta try it!!! read more

A perfect local restaurant for someone from out of town wanting to try something new (non chain restaurant). My husband had AP Poblos Special and I got the Texas burrito. Both were absolutely delicious! Our 2 year old loved the flavorful rice and beans! The service was great. Our food came out maybe 8 minutes after ordering and they filled our drinks fast! Me and my husband stopped here for the first time last week and the food was amazing! Very fast service also. However they haven't been open since!!! Says online they are but when you go to do an online pick up order says they're not. So we drove there and there's a sign in the door that says they're closed. It's be nice to know when they're going to decide to run their business again. Or is this close permanent?... I hope not, cause it was great food... they're just never open! I was craving Mexican but wanted it delivered - first world problem I know! My usual go-to of El Vallarta is no longer on GrubHub or DoorDash due to Covid so I decided to give Senor Jalapeno a shot. I got the Pollo Popeye which is a pounded chicken breast with a spinach and tomato cream sauce. The tomatoes left a bit to be desired but the rest of the dish was very tasty. The rice was freshly cooked and better than average for most Mexican spots. Beans were ok, good but nothing special that you wouldn't get somewhere else. For $3.99 I added a side of guac that was huge! They have some more traditional Mexican choices such as mole, carne asada and carnitas along with the usual fare of burritos, tacos and enchiladas. I don't think they have outdoor seating and I'm not ready to eat inside yet but once Covid danger is past, we'll try an in house visit. read more

Was in and seated before reading past reviews... Had good experience. Food was good. Staff quick and polite. Not your average greasy spoon interior. Fresh and clean. Wouldn't travel hours just for here, but would come across 224 for it without hesitation. read more

My son & I came n & sat @ bar for SHRIMP fajitas. We were served and began 2 eat. I decided to examine the plate further & notice meat. I immediately stopped eating and informed h the server/bartender he was apologetic and offered me another dish. I informed him that I haven't eaten meat of any kind in over 24 years and that if their grill was properly cleaned b4 preparing our order that this would've never occurred & I refused another plate. I'm leaving it's over 4 me. This joker tried to charge me 4 the dish I returned after 1 (one) bite and attempted to explain to me why I should pay. Awful poor quality tasting food . I threw it out and ate leftover pizza instead . Yes it was THAT bad . The rice taste like white rice with sazón mixed in , meat had gristle in it and Chile relleno was like soft soggy bread with a pepper inside cheese wasn't that great either . Not a bad little spot, although parking can be a bit of a pain when it's busy. They have great specials on drinks, but the bar only seats a few people. Food is pretty good for the most part, depending on what you get and the prices are definitely fair. My wife really enjoys the Fajita read more

I've been to this restaurant a couple times and have to say it's been pretty good! I usually get the Quesadillas and they are cooked perfect and served up pretty fast! I also highly recommend the strawberry margarita on the rocks! It tastes amazing! We're from a medium sized city, here visiting family. Weren't sure what to expect but made the drive to C's the morning of Christmas Eve day. The first thing we noticed were the excellent prices (under $10). They had an all day breakfast/dinner menu that looked amazing. Coffee came early and often. I couldn't choose between bananas foster waffles and corned beef hash. Ended up ordering the latter with bacon (perfectly cooked just like I'd do at home), hash browns and country toast (which I'd never had before and it is now my new jam). I almost wished we'd come for lunch/dinner because their desserts were super tempting. My fiancé got the meat lovers' mess and loved it. It came with rye toast which was nothing fancy and he loved that- at home restaurants compete to have the biggest frills and C's was such a nice change of pace. I think that's the best part of C's. It's what you expect and a little bit extra. I loved listening to the waitresses friendly banter, and they had us in and out smoothly and with a kind smile (and free pen/back scratcher as a Christmas Eve gift! Always give a place a second chance. I went back recently after a bad experience in the summer. Then the place had a ton of flies buzzing around. Waitress said that the kitchen was well over 100 degrees and the cooks had to keep the back door open and there was no screen door. This time there was someone I took as a manager who was very rude to the staff. It created a uncomfortable setting for a meal. It's close to home so I wanted to give it another go but there are other places I can eat. Nothing special to bring me back here. read more

The food has that home cooked taste but it's nothing special. It's probably a step above cracker barrel. OK now that you stopped jumping up and down wih joy, go with burgers, good staple meal. Its a good place to go after church because nothing else is open in the area, beware there are a lot of churches around and you will be waiting in line. Service is average but consistent most times. Given the genre of it trying to be a home style / family restaurant the staff does come off some what cold and all business. I have been here about ten times. I live in the neighborhood and enjoy having a "diner" nearby. I love the huevos rancheros and the chicken tortilla soup which is excellent and nutritious. Be sure to squeeze fresh lime juice into it. Good service. Decent prices, friendly staff. They made an old Arby's very attractive! Also, they have a frequent diner card. We went in and found a seat at 11am. The first server brought us our drinks which included watered down fountain drinks. That server promptly forgot about us and only after another 15-20 mins were we asked by another server if we had been served. No we weren't did we have food? What happened to that unpleasant sour-faced first one? So...fast forward to 47 mins in and other tables seated 20 mins after us having almost finished their meals, I finally inquired as to what the hell was going on. Another 7 minutes passed before ANOTHER chick told us that not only was there a delay but our order hadnt even been put in. Didnt offer us free meal for wasting near an hour. Got one free coffee and 3 watered down fountain drinks and 47 minutes of my life I can never get back. I shouldve demanded that the gas money wasted on getting to Struthers from Cornersburg be given back to me. As it stands, nuts to this place. No second chances on this BS. read more
