This company is managed by not only incompetent but rude and arrogant people that seem to have no interest in the caring aspect of the business they are trying to run. This is a highly incompetent organization only interested in billing your insurance company. I give you a few personal examples below: 1. If they tell you they will visit between 1:00 pm and 3:00, you can count on them arriving after 4:00 pm. 2. Their nurse measure the blood pressure and reported it to be "normal" at 109/47. The actual BP was 190/79 requiring medical intervention. 3. It took four attempts and three nurses to organize basic medication boxes. The errors included missing dosages, wrong pills ate wrong times, and double dosages of medications such as for blood pressure. On one occasion, the patient's BP dropped dangerously low due to double dosage of medication. 4. The worst part is that the management is not only incompetent, but arrogant, rude and indifferent toward addressing the issues. They are only interested in one thing. When pressed, the solution presented is for you to go find another provider. I question the positive reviews here. The insurance industry and the responsible Texas agencies need to thoroughly investigate this organization. My suggestion is to shut them down and use them as an example for other such businesses in the home healthcare industry.

HCPOT did not show on the first day post-op. The called and left a message saying "do you want me to come?" Ah, yea! Took him back to the surgeon on day 2 and he repacked it and showed me what to do and no I was not doing it correctly as I did not have the correct tools to do it and did not understand the size of the wound (tunneling). HCPOT came out the next day. All seemed to be moving forward until he had a 1 week follow up today with the Surgeon who said HCPOT was not packing it all the way down correctly thereby the healing process was not where it should be. These are supposed to be the "professionals" and they can't even get it right!! Surgeon was going to call them and tell them to get their act together. On a scale of 1 - 10 their communication is a 5 and their clinical skill sets are a 2.

The Granny Nannie team FOCUSED on exactly what my mom needed, proactively took care of things for her and around the house. When I greeted the care giver in the morning, I was greeted with a smile. And when they left for the day, they left a smile on my mom's face. Just a wonderful team of FRIENDLY caregivers. I would highly recommend giving Granny Nannies a try if you or a loved one needs that extra care.

I told her I was interested and she sent info on orientation at the Dallas, Preston Rd office. The orientation process included drug testing, interview, I-9 verification and clinical training. After orientation Justine texted asking if I was free to do a meet and greet the next day. The meet and greet went well. Justine told me the family liked me and asked when I could start. A few minutes later she texts that the client doesn't have the availability that I requested (which was contradictory to what the client and I discussed during the visit) offering me another client who was close to my area needing similar care. I agreed. Hours later she texted again saying this client was not available either, offering another client to which I told her no. To have people come to your office, some who drive up to an hour away, take all their personal information, including taking a photo for an ID badge, which I never received is very suspicious. If you would go this far to lead on your potential employees you are not a company to be trusted. Your hiring process needs to change. I noticed others who came in the office with similar complaints. Thinking they had a job but was never contacted.

I worked with a family yesterday and placed a sweet lady in a care home. She was transported from a Rehab community and unfortunately her incontinent supplies were left behind. The caregivers were getting my client settled in to her new home and realized she was short on supplies. There was nobody to assist in getting some to her at the late hour, so I called on Robbie McCullough. He was quick to say he could help and didn't even hesitate with my unusual request...head to the drugstore to purchase some supplies and deliver them to a person he has never met. This is the kind of service that Assisting Hands is known for. I have seen and heard accounts of this stellar service time and time again, but the first time I am posting about it. My client needed help and Robbie came to the rescue. It is so important to me to have these types of referral partners to work with...the ones you can count on; the ones who go above and beyond. It is definitely a new "high" in our relationship and I am so grateful for Robbie McCullough at Assisting Hands.

However, there is so much turnover that you never know what you're going to get from day to day. But there are larger issues related to scheduling and customer service. There are frequent mixups and last-minute changes in scheduling that make it difficult to rely on the company. Continuity and reliability are critical in this field. The result is often that families are left to scramble frantically trying to get caregiving assistance. An even bigger problem is that when you raise these issues, the supervisor (Ari) is defensive, short, interrupting, and seems somewhat annoyed that she has to deal with any problems. When I I raised these problems with the owner (Robbie) in an email, I received no reply. No apology, no explanation, no promise to do better, nothing. It's hard to find good Caregiving assistance, even in big cities. Unfortunately, this company is not one of the standouts.

There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.
