Laura Clark is incredibly helpful! She helped me to understand different senior care living situations and gave me the most incredible summaries of different communities to fit my dad's tight budget. I can't say enough about the wonderful care I received from Christine at Senior Care Solutions. When my husband was hospitalized for three days over Labor Day and I became aware that he would not be able to return home, I was too distraught to make any decisions and to know how to take the next step. Christine did everything for me that needed to be done. Giving me names of small care homes that would provide hospice care, dealing with hospital personnel and forms, providing transport to the home I selected, and taking care of his discharge from the hospital The care home, she told me about is giving him loving care. read more

Laura Clark, Family Consultant for Senior Care Solutions, was a true professional to deal with. She was so helpful in answering questions and giving advice to me in dealing with my brother who has Alzheimer's. Laura was the one who recommended the memory care home recently that we ended up placing my brother in. She was extremely helpful in assisting me in getting the 602 form processed through the Kaiser system. Our family is forever grateful to Laura for her service and expertise in helping us during this difficult and sensitive time period in our lives. Roger Shaul read more

I'm writing with a BIG thank you for Senior Care Solutions, and their care and expertise in placing my mom into care. I reached out to Senior Care Solutions near the end of October. My mom had been taken to the ER and it was time to start looking for care options. Christine met with my mom and I the next day and we discussed the need for care. On Halloween my mom fell, resulting in another trip to the ER. I contacted Christine that day (a Sunday) and didn't expect to hear from her until Monday morning. To my relief, she called back right away and began looking for places that would accept my mom. I found out later that Christine wasn't even home while she was doing this! And it was a Sunday and everyone was getting ready for Halloween--this was truly above and beyond. Many of the facilities she contacted would not take mom because she needs a high level of care. She continued to call places and look for solutions, keeping me informed the whole time, until mom was placed. There's no way I would have known who to call or how to get mom placed, especially since I was so worried about her being in the ER again. Christine really went the extra mile, with grace and professionalism, and I'm so thankful. read more

I normally can carry on a discussion with people in the service community but I found Chandra demanding and demeaning. Not at all helpful in accomplishing long awaited goals. read more

We have been referring our clients to Senior Care Solutions for years now. I can't say enough good things about Carol, Christine, Amanda and the rest of the team. Senior Care Solutions is a wonderful place to go for help and advice for loved ones making a transition to a care home. Amanda has been a blessing to me and my family. My mom has dementia and I needed help. Amanda met with me and helped me find a memory care place for her. She met with us, listened to what we needed and could afford and sent me out to look at appropriate and quality care places. She followed up with me and was there to help when I had questions. She was delightful and has helped me so much. I will be forever thankful to Amanda and the team at Senior Care Solutions. Thank you! read more

I needed to evaluate moving my dad from assisted living in LA to assisted living or board and care close to Citrus Heights -- an area I don't know well. The people from Senior Care Solutions were wonderful! They listened to my Dad's care needs and budget, as well as my "needs" in helping him. The suggestions they offered were excellent. They provided just the number of options I asked for so I didn't feel overwhelmed. Their follow through has also been excellent -- supportive and not pushy. Since I have used similar referral services before, I have lots to compare them to. I highly recommend their services, especially over the big chains! read more

Senior Care Solution was an invaluable resource for my family as we navigated through my mom's Alzheimer's Disease progression. From support groups to adult daycare to placement in Somerford Place, a memory care facility, and finally hospice. Carol and her staff are so knowledgeable and well connected in the community. I highly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation. read more

We recently ended up in a situation where we needed to find assisted care for my father-in-law in fairly short order. Trying to find facilities directly using Google and Yelp and phone calls proved stressful and, ultimately, unsuccessful. At the same time, I was trying to navigate applying for Medi-cal, which was really crazy making. I eventually came across Senior Care Solutions and reached out for help. To say they were a Godsend would be putting it mildly. Laura was extraordinarily helpful - she gathered info on my father-in-law, details on finances, and info on the family and their thoughts, and within a very short time, she produced a set of of suggestions for places that were likely to be good fits for my father-in-law and for our circumstances. She also put us in touch with a Medi-cal specialist who helped us navigate the process of obtaining Medi-cal benefits. The assistance of Senior Care Solutions was a tremendous benefit to our family during a difficult time, and they are an outstanding resource I highly recommend to all in need of such support. read more

We were looking for a memory care facility for my dad. We looked at about 15 different facilities and read their Department of Social Services reports. Unfortunately, it was difficult to find a facility that was a great fit for dad and also fit our budget. Two different facilities (that were too expensive for our budget) recommended that we reach out to Christine at Senior Care Solutions to benefit from her expertise, recommendations and local contacts. Christine recommended two fantastic facilities that met our criteria. She was kind and very responsive and set up appointments efficiently on short notice. She is an amazing resource at a challenging time and we recommend her highly. Christine receives a facility referral fee, so her services are free to families. She assisted us generously even though my dad's circumstances changed and she knew she wouldn't be compensated. Warm wishes to anyone making this challenging decision - Christine can help! read more

This business is unprofessional and hirer inexperience employees. This company is only concerned about the profits and not the care of the patients because my mother is total care and on an regular she would not a call or a show for her visits. She didn't get half of her visits the short time she has been with company. I would sincerely look for other services else where if you love ones require services from home health read more

I'm so grateful to Carol and Senior Care Solutions. She has a wonderfully gentle, compassionate and professional manor that gave me confidence I lacked during a very challenging time. My mother had very challenging behaviors as a result of her Alzheimers that scared off a lot of the available facilities, but because of Carol's deep knowledge of the facilities in the greater Sacramento area, she was able to locate options that would be willing to collaborate to care for my mother. She skillfully distilled for me the style and strengths of each possible placement so I could quickly narrow my search. Ultimately she connected us with a really good place with a homelike environment. With this small setting and attentive staff my mother is less anxious and her 'problem' behaviors have decreased because she feels safe and secure. Thank you to Carol for connecting us to this facility I never could have discovered on my own. read more

Senior Care Solutions has been an invaluable resource for my family as we have navigated where to place our mom. Mom's needs and level of care has changed over the past five years and Senior Care Solutions has always been available and a wealth of knowledge and references as our questions have changed and our needs have altered. I specifically have worked with Lauren, who has been wonderful, compassionate, and has never failed to followup with me for information requested. I believe this business creates long-term relationships with the owners and site managers of the various types of assisted living and memory care facilities. This allows them to properly evaluate and make appropriate recommendations for your loved ones and their specific needs. I highly recommend this business and have referred my friends and others to them--always had positive feedback. read more

I could not be more impressed with and grateful for this organization and the help they provided for my family. My elderly (but capable of living independently) retired parents and disabled sister were told they had 60 days to find a new home when the owner of the house they were renting decided to sell it. I was panicked - they have very little income and I just couldn't figure out how they were going to find another place that they could afford. I got the referral to Senior Care Solutions from Lee Mahla, the wonderful realtor who helped my husband and I find our home here, and called them right away. As my family and I combed craigslist, zillow, government websites looking for subsidized housing, and came up empty, Amanda from Senior Care Solutions got back to me WITHIN THE SAME WEEK THAT I CONTACTED HER and had found two possible solutions for my family, one of which was absolutely perfect and even better than their current living situation in so many ways - within their budget! I cannot thank Amanda and Senior Care Solutions enough for the professional, above and beyond help she provided for us. Amanda was responsive by phone and email and gave us all the information we needed to move forward, then checked in afterwards to see how it all went. She and the team at SCS clearly collaborated beautifully and really thought outside the box to find a home that would fit our unusual situation (my family was living outside of the Sacramento area, so relocating, low income, a mix of ages (my sister is only 44 while my parents are in their early 70s), all capable of independent living...and they were able to find something so quickly that suited all of those needs and more. And they did not charge us a dime!!! I am so glad this organization exists - I know they must help so many desperate families like mine. read more

I am so grateful and impressed with Senior Care Solutions' amazing services, resources, and compassion that I tell everyone who is caring for/concerned about older loved ones about them. Christine helped our family make some critical decisions when both parents' health had declined to the point that we knew drastic changes were needed. She met with us to learn about our parents' situation, needs and preferences and patiently walked us through options that may or may not viable. When it became clear to all that assisted living was the only good option, Christine prepared a list of facilities in our preferred area and price range; she indicated SCS tours all facilities they recommend. When I arrived at the facility that appeared to best meet our needs, it was so beautiful and welcoming that I cried with joy. Even after my parents had settled in, Christine continued to check in periodically to ensure things were going well. Christine and SCS are Earth angels who saved my sanity!! read more

I can't say enough kind words about Carol Kinsel She performed a miracle for a forgotten wheelchair bound, cognitively disabled, 58 year old woman, who was left alone and penniless to simply fend for herself after her creepy stepfather died in January. He knew he was dying and made no provisions for her whatsoever. She was living in a make-shift room in the garage. A neighbor took pity on her and brought her food. Finally,10 months later the neighbor worked her way through the system and got Debbie's benefits restored (they were cut off when the step father died). After dealing with several state and local people that were no help whatsoever, Juliane Bigelow (Thank you!) from Care Quest in Walnut Creek (925-935-8811) referred us to Carol-who recognized the severity of the situation immediately and moved mountains to make sure this woman had a new, safe place to live. It was not an easy task because of her limited income, but she made it happen. Carol is a good woman, with a good heart, who truly cares about the welfare of others. Thank you again, Carol. read more
