My Dad, dying of stomach, lymph node and liver cancer spent his final 17 days being cared for by compassionate volunteer caregivers. Our Family members, from CA, PA, KY and SC, were able to come and go, with absolutely no "Visiting Hours". Because there was a separate guest bedroom for Mom, she was able to get some rest every afternoon, napping! My brother even gave Dad his last haircut, out on the deck...some special "Quality Time" together. The days we spent together at Serenity House, as Dad made his "Final Journey", were very memorable. Our daughter decorated her Gpa's room with photos of our years together! We were able to make Serenity House our Family's home during Dad's last days. Because our incredible experiences with Dad at Serenity House, several years later, Mom was actually in the very same room where Dad had died! She was peaceful and 'Ready' to join him. She didn't have cancer or heart issues, but her body had aged considerably. She was able to have whatever meals SHE wanted, or, some days, very little. Having caregivers spend time with her, was so special. Her care was exceptional. Again, Family spent quality time with her, as she declined. As a volunteer, I've come to befriend wonderful caregivers, coming from all walks of life, each with a passion for wanting to care for those in their final days. Family members of residents repeatedly comment, "I wish we'd brought our loved-one to Serenity House sooner!" It's so true, as I know, first hand, what a relief and what a 'weight off my shoulders' I felt once Dad and then Mom, were in the hands of Serenity House's caregivers. I could be a daughter, and not have to worry any longer about their emotional and medical care. Serenity House is such a GIFT to both residents and families.

It was a great comfort to us knowing she was being cared for by people who knew and loved her. They say that God has a plan - i often struggle with this - but this time I think he got it right. Despite my aunt's confusion as to why she was there, she always knew where she was and she was surrounded by familiar faces. Had she moved to Ludington this would not have been the case. I told him we going to the hospital not the bowling alley. This hospital is the first emergency room I've been in that no one was in the waiting room. Never seen that ever. They checked him in quickly and took him to the back. So prayers in the air for Matt We were there about 3 hours with them taking test. With everything coming back negative. The staff their was really attentive, concerned and listen to him and what he was feeling. They came out and kept me informed with what was going on the entire time. We did not make out bowling tournament. And ended up driving back to NJ where we both safely arrived. Thank you Geneva General emergency room.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bonnie and North Shore for about 10 years now, and for the last 5 years…read morehave been going here once a month as part of my preventative health care/self care routine. Dr. Bonnie starts every session with a brief consultation where she asks how I've been feeling, if I have any concerns or particular issues to address, and during it all she takes notes. She then creates a customized acupuncture plan to address my needs. The session lasts just over an hour. Dr. Bonnie also offers other services - I think she has a massage therapist who works with her, and they also do cupping - but I have only worked with her for medical consultations (to review bloodwork results and talk about vitamins and supplements) and acupuncture. In terms of the office, it is easy to find, right on Rt. 332 just outside the north end of the village of Canandaigua. The office is in an old brick building that used to be a trolley terminal. There is street parking in front of the office and also parking in the back. Inside the office there is a small cozy waiting room and there are at least 4, maybe 6, rooms outfitted with massage-table-type cots and side tables and chairs. Usually you meet with Dr. Bonnie in this room then get on the table for your treatment. I definitely recommend Dr. Bonnie for acupuncture, and also feel she is a great naturopathic resource if you are also looking for someone to consult with in addition to a western-style primary care physician. She is knowledge, kind and curious, and is very focused on individual wellness.

This place is the pits. Not once did I ever see my actual Dr. there. While going through an…read moreintestinal infection I was put on Cipro and flagyl after telling my PA that I couldn't take these meds due to severe adverse reactions. He was insistent that I take these meds as another med was obscure and possibly hard to get, it wasn't. I ended up in the ER with a severe, adverse reaction and felt like I was going to die. Another time when I told him I couldn't wipe my behind anymore he laughed and asked if I had some guy named Juan following me around to do that for me. Turns out I didn't need some guy named Juan. What I did need was a massive shoulder reconstruction to fix the problem that the PA was completely clueless about. A different PA I saw there asked me how many DWIs. The answer was none. These people absolutely suck. Go else where for your health care needs.

Then he asked questions and demanded yes or no answers- no discussion. At one point he said he could give her a shot that would ease the pain. When she asked what was in the shot, he would not tell her but just said "do you want it or not?". When she asked again what was in it, he replied " you are being difficult. I'm leaving" and left and did not return.

A woman ( Deborah) answered the phone and she was out of breath and I started to inquire about an appointment and she said, "hold on". She gets back on the line and her first question is what type of insurance I have. I tell her its MVP. She says loudly "that insurance is AWFUL" (I went without medical insurance for 15 years) who the hell does this bitch Deborah thinks she is? She continues to tell me how awful my insurance is, they have 2 existing clients with this type of awful insurance and she cannot get the company to pay her. She tells me that it is the worst insurance out there. I was starting to get pissed off. I booked the appointment out of sheer pain but called later to cancel as I am not going to subject myself to being treated like shit by Deborah, the crazy bitchy receptionist. I did call NYCC and they are more than willing to accept my business and work with my insurance. Epic FAIL.

Dr. Chance Lowry is a very professional and knowledgable Chiropractor. My girlfriend has been…read moresuffering from back pain for 10 years now and we finally wanted to get some results. A week prior to us visiting Dr. Lowry we visited another chiropractor who provided us with very minimal care and very high fees. Dr. Lowry had great empathy towards our situation and suggested we come to his office. Do to the large sum of money that we had spent at the previous chiropractor, Dr. Lowry understood and explained that he could provide treatment in a way that we could afford. Going to his office for the first time I felt very welcomed and the office was well organized and displayed a slide show of information on what their office provides. We filled out the personal records through an iPad, which I found to be easier and environmentally friendly. At the beginning of the visit the receptionist brought us to a room with a massage chair where my girlfriend enjoyed a massage for over 10 mins. Immediately after the massage Dr. Lowry came into the room and introduced himself. We had engaged with each other previously through social media (instagram) so he was already prepared with the case at hand. With that being said he still took additional notes and then we proceeded to the treatment room. In the room he provided several means of treatment ranging from; chiropractic adjustments, orthopedic examinations, soft tissue massage, cold laser therapy, extreme-vibration technology as well as kinesiology tape. All of which felt great for my girlfriend and provided relief just after the first visit. He additionally prescribed a few at home exercises to further help with my girlfriends issue. Overall we had a great experience and will be returning for weekly visits until the issue is resolved. Dr. Lowry has displayed the true benefits of what Chiropractic Medicine can offer. This is what every patient should receive when they visit a chiropractor. Thank you for your service and we look forward to returning soon!
