Sendero has a beautiful view of hills and colorful landscape. It has 2 pickleball courts, a soccer field, a large grassy field in front of the gazebo equipped with a grill & tables, a playground, and bike/walking trails. While it is visible on the Ortega Hwy, I wonder how many people have stopped in to check it out. Personally it wasn't on my radar until I came to watch a family member playing a game. I wish I had discovered it earlier. :-) read more

Great pickleball courts that can be played on. You can do drop in and also your own games!

Came here on on Sunday for the first time. It's a great park with baseball field , and playground, picnic tables and a covered picnic area. Clean bathrooms (no key required) Plenty of parking I Love The playground because it has some thing for all ages. I also like that it has sound so if you have sand toys you can play in the sand. The only thing I did not like is that they had steel slides and the weather was like 95° and my son cannot go down the slide because he would probably burn his bottom I don't know why they're me with Steele but I did not like that! I love that there's plenty of grass to run around in and play! Just be aware a lot of ants on the ground I don't know if we're on an ant hill but I would not sit on the ground to eat or anything because there was ants all over me. read more

This park has so much to do!! Soccer and baseball fields, walking trails, multiple playgrounds and is nearby horse activity. Only cons: super sun-exposed midday and this area is very hot in summer (90+°) and there are tons of ants everywhere here every time. read more

Scenic and spacious little park here with pickle all and a playground. Across the way from the In'N Out/Chase/Market shopping center off Antonio Parkway, on the San Juan Capistrano side, I believe. It would be a nice little picnic spot to keep in mind. Pathways for cycling or roller skating/blading, too. It looks like there are four pickle ball courts off to the right just past the parking lot. read more

Nice park with nice views but gets really hot and tricky to get to if you coming from Ortega. You gotta do a U- turn at Antonio then it's off a dirt road to your right marked Sendero Field. There are numerous play structures, lots of structures to climb, sand, swings, and restrooms. There is not a lot of shade or many places to it. Near the restrooms is a covered area with tables and seating though. read more

Great park, very convenient for parking to cycle from. A couple months ago I was told by a local sheriff that there has been a number of cars broken into. Today when I parked I noticed a sheriff followed me in and a family was waiting with their car which had had the window broken and belongings stolen. Pretty sad but just need to make sure we don't leave backpacks, purses etc out in the view. read more

I wish the landscapers would come earlier in the morning before the park is open. It's kinda hard to enjoy the park with Weed Wackers and leaf blowers blowing dust and dirt all over us. Doesn't make sense to have them working in the middle of the afternoon when the area is busy. Let's use our brains folks! read more

The only reason for 4 stars versus 5 is due to access. It's private and open to public beginning at 10am. Not obvious entrance....relatively small sign. There is only one entrance into park so convenient if coming from East direction otherwise u-turn at intersection. read more

It's a Great park I love everything about it but, I'd be very cautious because I got my car broken into and someone stole my wallet and stole 200$ using my debit card. A family friend also got her purse stolen in this same park along with all of her belongings. read more

Beautiful park and playground. amazingly maintained. Bathrooms were clean and free of that typical park/playground bathroom smell. Parking lot is set well in from the main street so low chance of any issues with cars. The play structures are fun and creative, different than most other standard playgrounds. There are also some really nice covered picnic table areas. There were 2 different birthday parties going when I visited on a Saturday, and it still seemed open and not busy. The layout is nicely planned out to provide for ample space for lots of events and activities. read more

This is a fun park with some really cool play structures. My kids especially loved the bridges and tunnels on one structure. There is something for every age group here. Swings, slides, sand, rocks to climb on, and lots of grass area to run around. Another feature my kids loved were the curved cement walls. They used them as slides and hot wheels Ramps. The only down side is no shade so I suggest going early in the morning or in the evening. read more

There is really nothing to complain about with this park. Someone was whining about not having a trail from Sendero but that would require a bridge over the creek. Even though it is dry there is potential it could be full of water if we ever get a rain. The park is very well-maintained and there is a lot of fun equipment for the kids to play on as well as plenty of open space grass area. read more

Great new park. We particularly liked the wave like cement structures that you can scooter/scare/bike on. Next time I'll make sure to bring the scooter. Not a lot of shade here. Plenty of parking and wasn't busy when we visited. Tip: bring a scooter/trick bike, especially for older kids. read more

Amazing great park! Clean, has pickleball which is so fun! Neat areas to explore, big places to picnic and- if you live in Sendero- particularly on the side with the Ranch House (not Lyons) it is a beautiful walk up Ribera along Reata and the protected side of Ortega. Nice wide sidewalk (the bridge side of Ortega is completely protected). Much safer than attempting to walk via Antonio and more beautiful. read more

I wish this park existed when I was a kid! Fun-looking, modern playground, huge field, and a trail that leads up to the Starbucks plaza. My dog and I love skateboarding here. read more

This park is so much fun! Pros: It's well kept and has a lot to keep the littles entertained. The bathrooms are clean. Cons: Not a lot of shade for really hot days & kind of a pain to get to if you're heading from the 5 and Ortega. You have to make a left on Antonio & make u-turn at the second light. Then make a right on Ortega and into the park. Hopefully the city will remedy this. read more

A safe family place to bring your kids. Native shrubs, meandering sidewalks and grassy fields. Heavily utilized by neighborhood families. Come and have fun with the kids :) Expect to see lots of soapbubbles. read more

Super cute and clean park. They need to have a trail connect to all the Sendero homes for the Sendero families who want to go to the park. Only walking way to get there is to walk along Antonio on a sidewalk that's maybe 7 feet wide. With kids or a stroller it's a no go to walk to the park read more

This is a very nice, recently-created park near the Ladera Ranch and Rancho Mission Viejo developments. The surrounding view is not that amazing, being next to the 74, but the park itself has excellent play areas, facilities, and landscaping. The cement and rubber path that meanders through it is also very pleasing and whimsical. We enjoy stopping here to unwind when we are passing through the area. read more
