Since we had spent the whole day walking around Versailles we decided to ball out a little bit and order the large boat with 10 pieces of sushi and 18 pieces of maki, and 12 pieces of a roll. The ginormous boat also came with a size of salad, soup, and gyoza for the price of $46 Euros. For such a reasonable price I wasn't expecting the quality of the food to be as good as it was, especially since we were in Paris and sushi is not exactly the food I think of when I think of Paris. (Favorite has been in Sushi Taro in DC) This place was ok but like almost every other sushi place, very formulaic with a menu that has pictures of everything that is available. When you are stuck with a photo menu, I think this stifles the creativity of the chef and prevents them from thinking outside of the box. Yes, the safe sushi eater will feel well within their comfort zone, but c'mon... dining out is about new experiences that will leave you thinking, "I wonder how they did that?" And even if you are trying to be traditional (which this place is not) you should at least go for a super high quality of fish.
