Following my last review on Robert Alva of Semper Solaris, we decided to purchase a Power Wall system that Robert talked with us about. When you consider an Edison rebate, a federal tax credit and all it will do to enhance our current solar system factoring in potential money savings; it's a no brainer. Once we signed the documents via DocuSign, Semper Solaris immediately started working us into their system. Phone calls, emails and texts getting ready for a pre-installation site survey for the Power Wall. We've been so happy with the process thus far, that we asked Robert Alva to set up a site survey for a quote to update our 1973 vintage HVAC system as well. On July 14th, two teams from Semper Solaris arrived at our home for site surveys. Robert Tomlinson headed up the Tesla Power Wall pre-installation survey/audit and Robert Alva with Mike Ybarra an HVAC specialist worked on getting information to provide a quote for the HVAC system. Robert Tomlinson performed a very thorough examination of our existing electrical system and solar system. I learned a lot from him about our electrical panel as a result of this process. Next we defined the circuits that will be backed up when the power goes out. He then mapped out where the Power Wall will reside as well as the supporting equipment needed for a seamless connection to my existing power panel and Solar system. Robert was a pleasure to work with. He is knowledgeable, friendly, full of useful information, and attentive to detail. Thank you Robert. Concurrent to the aforementioned Power Wall site audit, Robert Alva and Mike Ybarra were performing an additional site audit looking over my HVAC system. They started with the heat pump and moved on to the ducting system. This included climbing into my attic from two different points of entry to build a map of the supply and return plenums running through the attic and the ducting to each room in our home. Along the way we were talking about potential changes and/or upgrades that could enhance our HVAC system. The audit as a whole was very thorough. I felt like they asked all the right questions concerning what we are looking to achieve. All this was done to provide us with a quote with choices of either updating our existing system or to pull out the old and put in an all new system with all new technology. We are looking forward to learning what they come up with as a long term solution for comfort and money saving ideas. These guys are great! Very professional, extremely knowledgeable and good at what they do. I give Semper Solaris a 5 star review on all aspects. I hope this information is useful. read more

This is my second year on solar and it was one of the best investments I have ever made in my life. I am very grateful to my consultant Raedene Solano who took the time to explain every step of the process to me, and still checks on me each year on the install anniversary date. I would heartfelt recommend her to anyone ready to move forward with solar. Meeting Raedene was by chance, I had considered solar for many years, and as I reviewed the exhausting list of solar installers the convoluted process seemed endless. When I first started looking for solar contractors online in early 2019, I had the basics in order to get comprehensive quotes for competitive pricing. At least that's what I thought, there are at least two dozen different solar panel manufacturers and each panel has different wattage. The quotes were not making any sense --- some companies stated I needed 22 panels, some stated 10 and the prices where drastically different. After my seventh solar consultant I felt defeated, it was by chance that an ad on Facebook and same day appointment made it all possible. Raedene arrived on time to our appointment, she answered my questions, debunked common solar myths and explained all terms and warranties. She reviewed the quotes I had received from other consultants and explained how SEMPER SOLARIS and the Bakersfield Team would provide outstanding installation and warranties on high quality solar panels. I will tell you this, with Raedene's brilliant solar design, she customized based on our usage, we have NOT PAID ANY ELECTRICITY since installation. It pays to have the right person and it saves to get the right team! Mark and Martha Martinez read more

Fantastic company. Ron Schaefer, our sales rep was truly amazing. Informative and a very nice man. He never pushed us just to get the sale. He just gave us the facts on solar for us and let us decide if it was for us. Great salesman. Best sales experience we have ever had for anything we have ever purchased. During the next 3 weeks we were contacted by the Semper Solaris team by phone and email to let us know what the next steps that were coming up. We never had to guess what was going on at any point. It only took 3 weeks to get the permits and start installing the panels. Installation took 2 days and the installation crew, Tyler, Jesus and one other, forgot his name, sorry, were extremely professional. They were on time for the 1st day of installation. They were careful to not disturb plants, flowers and landscaping around our house during their work. Everything was cleaned up after the installation. Nothing left for us to clean up. It was very nice that they did their best to make the electrical piping as hidden as possible on the roof and the house walls. They painted all piping to blend in very well with the existing house paint. The panels look fantastic on our roof. Next, we just needed to get our PTO from Edison to operate. Surprise, surprise. It only took one week to begin operation. Other neighbors around us took as long as 5 weeks to get their PTO. We are up and running. We are so happy with this company. Everyone who wants solar panels, Semper Solaris in Bakerfield is THE best around. Thank you so much to everyone on the Semper Solaris team. read more

The representative I worked with was absolutely wonderful!  Her name is Raedene Solano.  She was very pleasant during our in-home meeting.  She seemed extremely knowledgable and was very organized.  She patiently explained everything to me.  I had to email her several times, and she always replied very quickly.  Once, very late on a Friday evening, I emailed her to ask a question.  I was hoping that she would ignore it until she was back at work.  But, no, she wrote back very quickly.  She impressed me with her intelligence, her organization in her presentation, and most important to me, she appeared to be an honest person who cared about the people she worked with. Now, on to the group of guys that installed the panels.  I did not interact with them very much.  But, when I did, each one of them was respectful and friendly.  They, too, seemed very knowledgable about the whole process.  I really appreciate all of the work they did. My only concern...Oh now you're thinking, "Uh oh, here it comes."  My only concern is with my own lack of interest in learning how to work with the app. Rae has offered to help me more than once, but I just (I sigh here) I just don't want to.  I know I need to learn about it (I even downloaded the app), but I just don't want to.  I promised Rae that I would contact her if I need help with it. Ok, I think that's it. read more

Hello, I'm new to Bakersfield. I moved here 2 years ago from Los Angeles, and my place needed a new roof and HVAC system. I also needed a Solar & Storage system. Well, I figured it out and started the process with Robert at Semper Solaris. I have (9) squares of flat roof and (5) squares for the sloped portion. I discovered that the flat section of my roof wasn't draining properly so I decided to have the company build a taper system for my new IB PVC roof. I also chose their Owens Corning, Duration Cool product for the sloped portion, and voila! It came out perfect! While in the permitting process for my Solar & Storage system, we were ready to install my new 5 Ton, 16 SEER, all-electric package unit. To reduce exposure to common bacteria & viruses and to protect against allergies & asthma, I made sure we added the MicroPure MX4 Air Scrubber and AprilAire 5000 Air Filter. I also added the ECOBEE digital thermostat. ALL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED add ons! Next up, (25) 360W Panasonic Evervolt panels with SolarEdge inverters! I also installed (2) Tesla Powerwall batteries. Why? I bit the bullet to be as legally off the grid as possible! My main motivation for my (2) batteries was to transform my house into a "Self-Powered Home! I've attached two pictures to show my panel placement and my power flow chart. read more

My experience with Semper Solaris out of Bakersfield Ca was quick...easy...pain free and more importantly I felt absolutely confident that each person from the initial contact by sales representative Jon Bernal who sold me on going solar...to Jay Joseph Lee supervisor contact with regard to the install frame work and process...and to the wonderful team of employees who came out a day ahead of schedule just to fit me in that Monday mourning after the city of Clovis gave the permit go ahead the week before...I thank you all for a job well done and thank you Carlos for explaining everything to me about panel readings and what to expect on the phone app so I can follow my energy savings... To think I esigned on December 29th and had completion of install by January 30th with turn on permission by PGE the only thing left to wait on which should be by next week is amazing and very much appreciated....I highly recommend Semper Solaris to anyone looking to go solar as their financing is simple and competitive and they are Veteran owed so THANK YOU all for welcoming this veteran into your solar family...This is a solid solar company success story and we all need to get on board with Semper Solaris...Richard L Taylor read more

A Good word for Robert Alva and his Team at Semper Solaris Mr. Robert Alva and his Sempre Solaris Team did an outstanding service answering all of our questions and helping us to calculate the exact amount of kilowatt hours we used throughout the year. This made it easier to put together the perfect package of equipment needed in solar panels with a Powerwall to cover our needs for today's usage and any possible future increase. Robert went out of his way to answer any difficult technical document language or any questions we had; even if this was late at night, either via text, a regular phone call, or email. This showed us that Robert from Semper Solaris takes a personal interest in his clientele. He doesn't want you to feel any doubt that you are making the right decision with such a major investment in your home. Of course, everything take place with time, but from the beginning Semper Solaris outlines an estimate of how long the process will take. Once the guys started working, they were very fast and efficient and really worked hard to make sure our house looked it's best. They have great customer service. The team also made sure that at the end of the day the work area was clean and put together. read more

It is truly a pleasure for me to acknowledge Semper Solaris. I purchased the Solar System, a new Circuit Breaker & the Tesla back-up Battery. This is a phenomenal Company with outstanding employees. I find the employees to be efficient, dedicated, self-motivated, knowledgeable with excellent follow-up and follow-through-skills Their work ethics, teamwork, and customer service skills are superb. I truly consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to work with Leticia Coleman, Raedene Solano, Eddie Martinez, Adam Zepeda, and the Jarheads Crew among others. You can court on Semper Solaris employees to go out of their way to ensure the customer's needs are satisfied without hesitation. I understand excellent service, because I managed the operations of the largest federal court in the nation with an overall staff of 177 employees including 20 management staff. I also worked closely with 12 judges and their chamber staff, setting their calendars, recording hearings and providing transcripts, etc. I felt compelled to recognize this marvelous company with their first-rate employees. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat to anyone. You can always count of having a job well done! V. Clayter read more

I recently had Semper Solaris install a solar power system at my residence in the greater Santa Clarita area. From salesperson (Bob), manager J. (Joseph), office contact (Kristine) to installation supervisor (Julio), and his crew, I was totally pleased with the entire operation from start to finish. Communication was excellent and any questions I had were addressed in a timely manner and I was pleased to know that any concern I had was taken seriously and communicated up the Semper Solaris chain of command. Also from the start Semper Solaris listened to what my needs were and provided information and options on what I requested, (purchasing solar), and not what the other companies wanted to push which was obviously leasing solar. I have recommended Semper Solaris to friends and co-workers, and highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to deal with a professional, no nonsense, veteran owned company. Thank you Semper Solaris. read more

Semper Solaris installed my solar in 2018 before my husband died. Now I live hear by myself and if the power goes out not only do I not know how to hook up a generator, I don't even know where it is! Even if i did know I would have to be putting gas and I can barely walk. I called Semper Solaris and told them what can they do for me. They sent this nice young lady. Her name is Raedene Solano. Everyone calls her Rae like on Star Wars and she was wonderful in explaining how all this stuff works and she taught me about the Tesla Powerwall battery. The guys that put it in were courteous and did a nice job. Everyone was asking why I was getting these things and did i really need to spend money on that! Now they call me in an outage and tell me they don't have power and I laugh, "sorry, what do you want me to do about it???!!! read more

All my contacts with Semper Solaris staff were helpful, responsive and professional. However, the installation team and point salesperson went beyond the call of duty. I am extraordinarily pleased with the Semper Solaris installation team (Fabian G., Daniel C. and Jobany H.) who, over three days, installed my 3 Powerwall 2 units at my residence. They were punctual, informative, continually kept a clean and orderly worksite, were unobtrusive and pleasant on the residential worksite (no lollygagging, horseplay or coarse language). Their workmanship to this OCD eye was excellent. A very pleasant and refreshing experience. Thank you Raedene S. for navigating me through the sales and purchase process and your expeditious follow up to my questions. You have an excellent sales presence. read more

"TERRIBLE, SLOW, UNRELIABLE, etc. Company I ever worked with. They use the military Veterans ploy to real in Veterans & military people. They should be a shamed of themselves for using that. I signed my solar contact in mid May and it's Sept. I still don't have the final inspection done yet. I made my first payment and I don't have solar. How does that make any sense. The employees in Bakersfield just Suck. Sorry but that's the truth. They Never return an email, never get back to you. They don't care "Julio Lopez, Joseph Lee & Moses. You all should be fired. They sales rep Randel Holmes doesn't know the company. He promised this would talk 3 days. I knew it would take 3 days but 4 months+. They make sound and look good, but it's not. I should have gone to Peterson & Dean. read more

Thank you Semper Solaris for making the switch to solar so quickly. It was the lowest price of all the solar companies that I researched. I signed the contract March 21 and the system was up and running by April 26. A few bumps along the way: The solar panel installation took 2 days because of the rain, and the building inspection didn't pass the first time. Otherwise, the whole process might finish 1 week earlier. There were detailed e-mails sent frequently along the way to explain the current situation and follow-up plans. And my e-mail questions were promptly answered in the same day. It is gratifying to see the PG&E meter reading negative. I can't wait when the summer comes to turn on the A/C full blast and not worry about the electricity bill. read more

We shopped around for a solar system and Semper solaris appeared to us to be the best deal. What made the experience even better was our dealings with our customer care officer Billie Yako. I'd like to commend her. She was extremely responsive to our concerns and took care of them in an extremely timely fashion. She was very friendly yet professional she has a wealth of knowledge that she readily shared. We were so impressed with how much we learned from here in a span of 10 minutes over the uphone. Her positive demeanor and welcoming spirit are noteworthy. Semper is lucky to have Billie Yako representing your company. Everyone at Semper Solaris are incredible! My neighbor referred me to them. They are very professional and responsive. I loved their pricing and their financing options. I decided to pay out of pocket and I will see my ROI in 4 to 5 years. Billie was my project manager she kept me informed along the process and was very helpful. She was always there to answer all my questions and explained everything really well. The system looks great, excellent construction, installation and general appearance are impeccable. The entire process was impressive and so was the installation crew supervisor. I interviewed a lot of company's and I couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Hello to all! I'm the new recipient of a beautiful new, 50 Year warranty, Owens Corning roof! I'm writing this review to show you how I got here. I contacted Semper Solaris after watching a tv commercial on KGET-TV. I'm an older homeowner and the agent was very patient with me. The agent also advised me that they would send over their roofing expert and I appreciated that. Mr. Alva was prompt, kind, and courteous. He measured my roof and informed me thoroughly about all my options. The crew handled it from there. They took care of business and cleaned up everyday. It was a great experience and I most definitely recommend Robert A., the roofing crew, and Semper Solaris. read more

I've met with Robert Alva, whose business card said that he was a Senior Sales Consultant. I jabbed him with my expectation that tonight's meeting is going to be high! He not only accepted my challenge but also did a great job educating my wife and I on battery storage. I initially called Semper Solaris for a 50-year roof and a viable solar solution. He showed me his personal Tesla Powerwall app and made a strong case to add it to my order. Boy, am I grateful that he did. I've experienced three PGE outages since installation, and my wife thinks I'm a hero! I've since sent him a couple of referrals, and he helped them, too. You rock Robert, and thanks again. read more

I was in the market for a new roof and solar system when I saw a Semper Solaris TV commercial and decided to give them a call. Semper Solaris sent over Robert Alva senior Energy consultant whom was very courteous and knowledgeable about the solar system and roofing installation. My roof took a week to install by professional roof technicians following one day installation of solar panels. Both crews were very courteous and professional and kept the work site very clean of debris at the end of the work day. I would highly recommend calling semper Solaris and asking for Robert Alva for your roof and solar installation services. read more
