I didn't see the email until 10, but he still came within an hour, around 11, and was done by 11:40. Dylan was fast and efficient and friendly, cleared exactly the areas that we needed cleared, and charged a very reasonable price, including giving us a seniors discount! AJ's Lawn Care was the only one who responded and followed up. his initial estimate was way too much, but after i explained it and said it was about 8 hours of work, he revised it to a very reasonable quote of $ 150. it turned out there was at least 15 hours of work involved once we included the tree branch removal and 2 trips to the Eco station, and so i tripled his original quote and invoice of $ 150 and paid him $ 500 ($ 450 for the work and a $ 50 tip for excellent service and attitude). service was competent and efficient and excellent - better than expected. quality was very good. value was very good. his attitude in response to the difficulty and amount of work involved was excellent. They came twice in the first week - both times after repeated messages asking when they were coming and after 48 hours of the last snowfall, not the 24 hours that they advertise. Then on Saturday, December 7th, we had rain which turned into a large snowfall. I texted Sam on Sunday as his wife was no longer even reading my FB messages, so I thought I might have better luck there. He didn't bother responding until Monday saying that the crews didn't go out as there was less than a cm of snow that fell and that we would be getting a couple of days of snow and the crews would come halfway and then at the end. First of all, I had way more than a cm of snow here (Sherwood Park) on that day. I even sent him a couple pictures to show that. Then on the Tuesday, it did snow overnight, and no one ever showed up to do any snow removal at all. All phone calls I made to Sam's number went unanswered, and his voice mail was full so I couldn't even leave a message. I sent texts and tried another FB message to his wife with no response anywhere. Tried his number today hoping that maybe they would have the decency to show up for this snowfall only to find out that the number is disconnected. I am on my own with no other support, working two jobs to make ends meet. I am also a caregiver for my elderly mother who was diagnosed with both dementia and cancer this summer, and that takes up a lot of my time as well - not to mention wanting to be able to spend whatever time I have left with her. This is why I really needed the help with snow removal. I also don't have the money to pay another company to come and do it now after I've already paid one. I too would like a refund, but I'm not holding my breath on that happening. This whole experience really just lessens my belief in the goodness of people even more.

This year has been beyond a joke. We had to do the pet waste removal ourselves because the postponed on us so many times. Clean up was good as far as the lawn, but when using their edger/weed whacker, they trashed our fence. Took 2 months to have repainted. Verdict is still out on that repair job. Fertilized the wrong yard. It's been ridiculous. Email thread as long as my yard and finally we have just walked away from it. I don't have time for th kind of customer service. Buyer beware.
