This place used to be good but ever since they've gotten more patients their quality has gone down…read moresignificantly. THE WIFE IS NOT A REAL DOCTOR but she wears a white coat and walks around like she owns the place. She is at most a secretary. Extremely unprofessional, has a very bad attitude, disrespectful, and needs to stay in her lane. she needs to take that white coat off and wear regular clothes. She is SO not friendly I was shocked at her behavior. Doctor Kim needs to not have her interact with patients AT ALL. So many people are leaving this doctor and transferring to another doctor because of the wife.

In fairness, Dr. Kim is a good doctor. He has a good personality, explains things to his patients…read morewell and can do so in fluent English. BUT it isn't worth seeing him because of the 1 DISRESPECTFUL receptionist on Dr. Kim's staff that has an atrocious attitude and interacts with patients like she's a North Korean labor camp general. Someone else had issues with her on Health Grades. This receptionist frustrated herself because she couldn't find my husband in their system, asked if he really was a patient of Dr. Kim's, had him spell his name, and told him he had "the wrong doctor"! My husband explained Dr. Kim was his primary care doctor, he'd been to the office multiple times and after spelling his name for the 4th time, he passed me the phone in frustration. This woman told me multiple times we called "the wrong doctor", that they don't treat "back problems" and got loud while repeating herself! I explained that we wanted to make sure that it was just muscle pain and not a lower respiratory infection or something else (hello, we're in a pandemic). Finally she said, "Oh, ok, let me see. I know everyone who comes here and this is not familiar" and then miraculously managed to locate my husband in their system and said, "we don't have anything today but he can come tomorrow 2:15. Actually we close at 2 but he can come 2:15" and if it's bad "go to urgent care FIRST". Umm, what kind of doctor do you think is at Urgent Care? How about an internal medicine physician like Dr. Kim is! And we're talking about 1 day difference. SMH. When he showed up for his appointment, she yelled at my husband in front of everyone, "What are you doing here! I told your wife go to urgent care!" The girl who takes blood pressure even looked at her and said something to her in Korean. SMH again. What kind of receptionist tells a person they have the wrong doctor because they can't work the computer (or spell for that matter)? What kind of receptionist tells a patient to go elsewhere for care? What kind of receptionist tells a patient they don't treat this ailment or that when she's not a doctor? While I understand the majority of the patients are Korean, you should treat EVERYONE respectfully. It would be better if Dr. Kim hired someone who can 1) be RESPECTFUL 2) can COMMUNICATE fluently in English and can articulate themselves well, 3) does not humiliate patients and 4) is actually competent since they're representing him and patients have to deal with the receptionist! My husband called the office again after this appointment letting them know that this woman cost Dr. Kim a patient and to get his files ready for him to pick up (due to his face mask he couldn't say it clearly when he was there). The person with whom my husband spoke with said she'd have to report this to the doctor and the doctor would follow up with him. No follow up happened, so she probably never reported it but it doesn't matter since my husband's not going back there. If you expect to be treated with even a modicum amount of respect when going for CARE, go elsewhere! As nice and good as he is, seeing the doctor is not worth interacting with this monstrous receptionist who will definitely spike your blood pressure.

I came here because i've been sick for the past 6 months.. and my Primary doctor had no idea what…read morewas causing it so he insisted to go see a infectious disease doctor. He initially gave me a recommendation to one in the city but because it was too far, I decided to look somewhere near me and found Pan S. Ko. I regret making an appointment here.. He was very unsympathetic and not professional. I explained to him what I've been dealing with the past months and he just looked at me with confusion. Instead of being really concerned and writing notes, he seemed more interested on other papers. As I was speaking, his phone rang.. and he immediately picked up without saying "Excuse me.." and I just got the sign to stop talking. Dr. Pan Ko seemed only interested on how I found him. He asked me if someone recommended him to me and I explained that I found him online because my primary doctor insisted that I should go see a infectious disease doctor. He only seemed to care which doctor it was... He took me into a different room to take my blood out.. it took him 2 tries to actually find a vein and take blood out. It was very unpleasant for me to see him trembling and it just seemed that he had no idea what he was doing... pretty nerve racking to me.... ALSO, The office was dead and .. a lot of signs that I couldn't take this place seriously. The receptionist did my blood pressure and it took her about 15 minutes to get the machine going.. until she realized she was doing it the wrong way. I came here because of the reviews... but it seems to be far from real. If you have a urgent matter like I do, do not come here. It'll be a waste of your time and money.

Dr. Ko is professional and thorough. I originally went to see him in 2015, after a podiatrist…read moresuggested amputating my big toe due to a diabetic foot ulcer. He put me on IV antibiotics, and they did the trick. Thanks to Ko I still have my toe! Two years later I had an abscess on the side of my knee. Dr. Ko directed me to enter the hospital, where I was treated successfully and avoided an operation. Even in matters of urgency, Dr. Ko has a calming effect on me. He has two convenient locations (Englewood Cliffs & Westwood) and he sees his patients promptly, with never a long wait.
