We had an issue with my son getting in due to the park rangers and police closing entry. It was full and they turned my son around by accident. However, I don't think he let them know he had a reservation. That's the reason for my star bump but both the police officer and ranger were apologetic, so much appreciated. Day camping is a new thing for me. For $15/day, you can rent a site from 8AM to 8PM. They have running water and electricity. There are also two bathroom facilities with showers. The day use spots are good for two vehicles and have a picnic table and trash bag hanger. Easy access to the water in most spots. They have two grills to cook at the sites. It's very much worth the money. They don't allow alcohol, pets or really loud music. The beaches are nice and water is pretty clear. The coves make it easy for swimming. I do recommend!

Proximity to some of the islands makes it a great place to kayak from without to much worry from boats and jet skis. Although our time spent here is during the week I imagine the lake can be somewhat hazardous on weekends with boats everywhere. Regardless it is a great spot to spend time in the warm waters and just relax. One of our favorite Georgia spots.

Vines Park in Loganville at one time was a beautiful and well manicured park that sits directly…read morebehind the Vines Mansion which is used for weddings, photo shoots and other events. I remember my first visit to the park many, many years ago. The lovely lake and bridges, pavilions, themed botanical gardens, the statues throughout the park, the paved walking trails and the entertaining Vines Garden miniature railroad which has over 1,000 feet of track and runs through a little train town. Although all those things still exist, the park is no longer well manicured and has lost some of the natural beauty I remember it once held. There is a lot of overgrowth of the bushes and trees and the weeds are taking over. It is still a nice and serene little park to visit with very few visitors, but no longer one that I'd make a trip to enjoy its beauty.

Dirt Trail so be careful when walking a lot of tree roots. Make sure not to go alone. There are people around but still a little bit isolated. Haha, so anyway that's how I went way outta my way and ended up with a great walking spot for my pup and me. It's nicely paved and has lots of different ways you can go. I love all the trees and can't wait to see it in Soring! I love how quiet it is and it would make a great running course too! No traffic, exhaust, and it wasn't crowded at all. I love the tranquility and beauty of being in nature. Our new puppy needs lots of walking and this truly is a fantastic place for a walk, a run, time with friends or even solo for some good reflection. Definitely not to be missed if you're in the area!

It offers a variety of picnic sites, fishing spots, boating docks, trailer parking, grills, and swimming spots with sandbars. It also has one of the best points to sit and watch the sunset. The park continues in a large loop with different spots branching off in each direction. The trail is a gravel path large enough for cars to drive through with several parking spots. People often park and spend the whole day hanging by the sandbars, enjoying the lake and fishing and grilling out. The length of the trail and the accessibility of it make it a great place for people to come walk with family or walk the dogs. There is also a lot of local wildlife. I often see baby ducks and baby geese nest here. Overall, it is lovely, relaxing place to enjoy the lake.
