This was a nice state park. Our site had room for two large tents, a dining fly, and our two vans.
There was the usual assortment of tents, campers, families, pets, etc. - but it was not overly noisy. The park police patrolled regularly and I never saw them have to stop and talk to someone. There was the occasional dog bark or baby crying in the night, but not as much as at other parks I have been to.
The showers / restrooms are clean and comfortable. They even have a wash sink for doing dishes on the side of the building.
We did not do any hiking so I can't comment on the trails.
We didn't check into any park activities as we had our own agenda.
Do be aware that there is no swimming area. The beach area is posted and is a stoney beach (not sandy). There is a short pier from which people were fishing.
I would go back to this park again. read more
