This is our 2nd time staying at Brennan Beach. The campground seems mostly filled with annual or seasonal residents. The short stay campers are all in one section. The sites are fairly level and but could use some extra attention to cleanup. There is an onsite place to rent golf carts and many people do because of the distance between areas. It is a long walk from the campsite to the pool, recreation room, and store. In the opposite direction, it is also a long walk to the beach. There is a centralized trash area on the main road to the exit. There is a Food truck (inside of an old trailer) located at the beach that serves breakfast and lunches. On weekends, There are food trucks in the parking lot by the Store. There are always activities for arts and crafts and concerts. We were so appreciative that this campground allows you to send packages. They have a storage shed next to the office where Amazon and mail packages are stored. Although they try to store mail by name, It may take you a while to find it because it gets all mixed together. Either way, we sure appreciate this service. read more

Brennan Beach is an amazing resort!!!! There is a beach and lake (obviously), 2 pools(plus a baby pool), inflatables on some days, an arcade, a library, a store, bands on Saturdays, Candy Bar Bingo on Fridays, a courtyard restaurant, a small restaurant by the beach, food trucks sometimes, and much more! Really nice Thousand Trails campground! RV sites are not huge but plenty of space. Huge park area to walk dogs, play frisbee, or picnic. Little bit on the noisy side on the weekends. Lots of people. 1400 sites. It's like a small town. So I guess the noise is to be expected. I've never seen so many golf carts. People don't seem to walk anymore. The lake is beautiful. Would be great for kayaking when the water goes down. They've recently had flooding. They have it all here. Swimming pools, all kinds of social events, etc. Great for families and groups! read more

They don't care about the drunk golf cart drivers, late night screaming + cursing and they like to yell. Watched some kids get threatened by drunks and the workers let the drunks drive away. There's a handful of good people but definitely not enough staff to manage everyone. Could be a nice place but needs some new management. Has some good entertainment and (overpriced) food so overall not a great place unfortunately! read more

We absolutely love Brennans Beach! We finally decided to buy a camp there last year, after camping there for years! It was the BEST decision our family made!! We have a blast every summer. My grandkids love it and never want to leave!! Lots to do!!! read more

Very nice resort - here for a long weekend. Our sites are spacious, people are all very friendly. A couple of small issues and maintenance responded right away fixed it. Pools were clean, store well-stocked. We enjoyed a perfect beach day - the Lake was clean and the beach was great. Bring some water shoes you have to walk across some rocks in the water before you get to the sand. Awesome band on Saturday night and people having a great time. Restaurant by the beach was closed which was a disappointment. Overall sites seem well-maintained. Will definitely be back. And oh the sunsets!!! read more

Great campground, nice staff and huge grounds. Our stay was midweek and not a lot going on, kind of a ghost town other than around sunset time down by the beach. Very nice RV repair guy on site fixed an LP issue we were having for a fair price. Restrooms were clean and showers were hot. Overall a good experience but we would come back in the summer to experience more of what they offer. Spots were plenty spacious- and easy to get in and out of. read more

Pluses... Beautiful sunsets. Great swimming and boating opportunities. Fun free concerts on the weekends with local bands. Sometimes drive in theaters playing movies. Good food at The Cove and Annie's Beach Shack. Minuses.... When the park is overloaded with people (aka holiday weekends) the lower section can smell like sewer. Also the folks in the office checking you in are not friendly in the least. I've been here a million times over the years and they just don't concern themselves with customer service. Please read before staying. This place is a huge disappointment. I'm not paid, not a competitor just an RV traveling family. There is a bee infestation. On the beach, at the pools, everywhere. The staff laughed and said yep bees are a problem but ownership is too cheap to get exterminator. There is water standing everywhere. Mosquitoes were the worst I've ever seen. I was setting up the RV and had hundreds swarming me under and around the trailer. This park is 90% seasonal. And many of those are not maintained. Their water treatment portion of the park emits a smell of feces across the park. It was hot and humid and the smell just stayed in the air. The garbage dump might as well be a landfill. Rotting garbage smell not too far from the feces smell. The employees all seem to live there and have family that they are watching or babysitting for at the same time. Also many employees walking the park barefoot. The pools look like an afterthought. Fence and roofing are rough. Paint work is rough. By far the worst campground we stayed at. This is #7 and will never go back. We complained and are still waiting for a manager to call back. Not too confident they will. AT&T and Verizon both have slow data and spotty coverage. There are a couple lifeguards. But mostly pool monitors who are also responsible for testing the water, filling the pools when the level is low. Skimming debris. Searching for the bee nest. Then socializing. I would not trust them to save my child in an emergency. Too busy with everything else. There is a section of campsites by entrance for daily or weekly folks. This is very cramped and the ground is soft. Not sure how some people got their huge rigs in but it was clear they had trouble in the soft mud. We were thankfully not here. Our site was half way to the beach on the left hand side. The site could have been nice but the bees and mosquitoes made it unbearable to be outside. Who's idea was it to put sand at the campsite too? That just made a mess inside and outside. The seasonal folks party hard on the weekends. They are up late, loud music, driving everywhere at all hours of the night on their golf carts screaming. Please weigh this review more heavily. There are some positive reviews- it fooled us. Looking back, we noticed there are not many reviews. And not many videos on YouTube showing the park. There is a reason. This park seriously needs someone to come in and address the drainage problem. The standing water most likely leads to the mosquito problem. An exterminator is needed for bees. Staff said they know there is a nest under the sand at the beach but owners aren't doing anything for it. Pool monitors showed us the over the counter bee traps hanging by the pools. They are filled with dead bees. They said owners are aware bees have a nest somewhere at the pool but won't do anything about it. Bring your own food. Restaurants were closed because worker had a prior commitment. We met another family at the beach who left days early because they were so upset with bees. Our neighbor left early. My parents moved out of their seasonal property after 15+ years as the overall property is going downhill quickly and management doesn't seem to care or meet with tenants about concerns. Roads are full of potholes, pool is in poor shape, etc. If you are a daily camper, then you will likely enjoy the stay, but the seasonal campers are slowly packing it up and leaving. It's a shame as it doesn't have to be that way, but if you can't get an appointment with the management to discuss after weeks of asking, then you just move out like my parents did. read more

Very disappointed in our stay here.. if your not a local or a year around camper here skip this place! Very tight for weekend campers, the workers were cleaning out our camp fire and weed whacking the property at 7:30am on the day we were leaving and check out is at 3pm.. why could they not wait?! Woke everyone up! The ladies in the front office were very rude and only came across a couple people that worked there that were pleasant.. we will never be back! Also flies and bees everywhere at your campsite..and if you don't own a golf cart place is way too big to walk.. no golf rental on site. read more

Fun for kids. Very expensive and they pack you in like sardines. Kids love it and they had a good band on Saturday night.

I regret giving it even one star it was such a bad experience. Rented a "park model' for a week vacation with our 3 kids. First, no AC, which was promised when I made the reservations....second, all 3 pools were closed (this was June 23rd by the way) as they had not gotten an 'inspection' yet - and the pools were nasty, in no condition to even pass an inspection. Third, the beach was also closed due to bacteria in the water. It's 96 degrees, 100% humidity and 5 of us in this 200 sf dump. No smoke detector (although the sign under the hole in the wall says DO NOT REMOVE. No fire extinguisher, dead bugs everywhere, stained furniture, the best was the duct tape holding the frig door on and there were no rails on the frig door (to hold drinks, condiments, etc.) so guess what we used??? Our own duct tape to hold our shit in the frig, which only cooled on the top shelf by the way. We lasted 3 days (out of 7) as we had other family there (in their fancy RV's) and we drove all the way from VA to see the family. We got half of our money back but we still paid $400 for the 3 miserable days we were there.. Don't waste your time or money even looking at this place. read more
