In March 2025, Self Storage Plus bought out this location. In October 2025, they raised the rent from $164 to $234 = $70 = 42.68%. Their email notification says they did this "to ensure we are offering competitive rates and exceptional storage solutions". They say they've "carefully assessed the current market rates". Of course, if you look around the storage market in this area, Self Storage Plus owns almost every storage facility. So in other words, they "carefully assessed" the rates they set, and decided to raise them nearly 50%. I'm going to report this company to the feds for monopolistic business practices.
