Antiquated system but it works! Just leave enough time in case you need to wait max 20 min until the shuttle leaves. You show up and park in a single file line. Then you go in the trailer and check in. They ask for your name, phone number, color and make of car, and number of people you are traveling with. Then they give you a paper to put on your dash. Then you wait until the guy in the trailer gives the signal to the shuttle driver to leave. (This happens when the previous shuttle returns). Then the shuttle driver gets in the shuttle and leads all of the cars behind him to a set of open spaces. Tip- while you are waiting for the shuttle driver to lead you in thru the gate, you can use a restroom in the building at the right. You park and get in the shuttle and then you may pick up more folks on the way out if they are returning a rental car. Then it's about a 5 or so min ride to airport. Shuttle was clean and process was easy. Jeff the shuttle driver was very friendly and got us to the airport quickly! Coming back at the airport it took about 20 min for shuttle to arrive otherwise the process was easy. I've been parking for years and they're always efficient until now. I followed directions as always to park at this lot. You check in, you follow the bus that will take you to your space then ride the bus with your luggage to the airport. Today it took about 20 minutes just to park and always the driver left me at the parking lot because he said the bus was full? What? How come you didn't account me to fit in? I should have just parked at airport or ubered. Next but didn't come for 15 minutes so I ended ordering an uber from the lot so can get got the airport on time. What happened to this place? We were truly impressed with the service we received at Self Park FLL. From the minute we pulled in to their location, we were assisted immediately and were given concise instructions on how we should proceed. The gentlemen was friendly and organized. We were then assisted with our luggage out of our car and on to the shuttle with no wait time. When we returned from our trip we called the number provided to us and a shuttle arrived within minutes to take us back to the lot. Only one suggestion to make it easier to find your vehicle, number the parking spots and put that number on the card that the customer is provided with for the return. I would not recommend using this service for parking. I had made a reservation for Labor Day weekend. The day before my travel date, I received an email that my reservation was cancelled. When I inquired why...they stated the lots were closed due to construction. I was then left scrambling for last minute parking reservations. I'm glad I checked my email when I did or I would be completely stuck upon arrival! I would assume that if your lot was going to be closed for construction you would be aware of this prior and give ample notice. As I found, there are better options! read more

We continue to use Self Park FLL due to the competitive price, convenience, and generally good service. For example, we like to self-park and keep our car keys with us rather than trust the parking facility reps to safely park the car and not rummage through it in search of valuables. Self Park FLL provides a secure parking lot. The only reason I am downgrading them a bit is because of the lack of parking space numbers. We didn't see any marking on the pavement or the light poles to indicate where we parked. We just looked around and noted our approximate location in the parking lot. The shuttle driver didn't provide any info about our parking location. When we returned from the airport, we waited about 20 for the shuttle, which seems about right. The shuttle was full, with three separate parties, and the driver had to go up and down each aisle in the lot as we each looked for our cars. None of the parties had been provided any info about their parking location. This seems very inefficient and led to some frustration at the end of our trip. read more

Usually we have someone drop us off at the airport or catch an Uber from west Plantation; but this time we thought we would try leaving our car with Self Park FLL. What an awesome experience! We found the company & a discount by Googling "parking." For about $5 a day, we figured we'd give it a shot. We had a 9:40 pm flight to Atlanta & we arrived at the lot at around 7:00; pm; because we thought we might be waiting around for a shuttle for like 20 minutes, or maybe the driver would have to wait till the van was full. That wasn't the case at all! We arrived at the office at about 7:00; the guy in the office took the van & said to follow him into the lot behind the office building. We parked, put a permit on the dashboard, the driver told us to note our location in the lot, he loaded our luggage, and he promptly drove the 2 of us right to our gate. We had like 2 1/2 hours to kill at the airport because Self Park FLL was so prompt & professional. The experience was just as nice on our return. My husband called Self Park after we had claimed our luggage & we walked to the area between Terminal 2 & 3 as instructed. I think the van arrived at the exact same time we did. The driver offered us some cold bottled waters & told us he had to get 4 other passengers. He had the other 4 loaded in less than 5 minutes, and he had us back to the lot about 15-20 minutes after our plane landed. We will definitely use Self Park FLL in the future and I strongly recommend their service. The van was comfortable & the drivers were courteous and friendly. The driver does accept tips which I think are well deserved in our experience! read more

As mentioned in my initial review of this place a few years ago, DO NOT come here if you are "on time" or even just a bit early for your flight as you will risk missing it. We came here to park (again) and came very close to missing the flight (again) because of this facility and their staff. Where most other lots have shuttle vans waiting for you at your car as you arrive, then they almost immediately shuttle you right to the airport, this place held us in the lobby, seemingly until they had enough people to take a more full van of people to FLL. Between the time we arrived at this lot and the time we finally got to the airport, it was easily more than 30 minutes. Had this been Park 'N Go or one of the other FLL area parking options I'd used in the past, we'd be at the airport terminal within 10 or 15 minutes of our initial arrival to the lot at maximum. When we returned to the airport after our trip, we called the number listed on the card we'd been given and entered the 4 digit number we were assigned when the computerized phone system prompted us to. They said they hoped to pick people up within 30 minutes max. Again, it wasn't a human, it was all computer automated. Where Park N' Go and Park 'N Fly (RIP) seemed to have shuttles stopping by every several minutes to look for returning customers, we got a call back from Self Park FLL several minutes after we'd called to request pickup, asking us to verify our location and telling us he was on his way. We were the only ones in the van back to the lot, he never had any other stops to make at the other terminals, and when we got back to the lot there were no other customers milling around as is usually the case with the other parking facilities. Seems like Self Park FLL is definitely an "also ran" and is definitely not one of the major players. After using this lot a few times and having less than happy experiences both times, I fully understand why that's the case. Unless you have extra time to spend getting to the airport and then returning to your car, I'd skip this facility and book parking at one of the other lots. They seem to be much faster and more efficient at getting their customers to and from FLL. read more

I used Self Park FLL for the first time this past week and I'm very pleased at the customer service, safety, professionalism, and quality pricing of their services. They're very close to the FLL airport (about 5 minute drive) and their parking lot is gated. The shuttle drop off and pick up was seamless and both my drivers were very professional, courteous, and went the extra mile to do things like help with my luggage, open doors, etc. The shuttle evens drop's passengers off at their airline terminal versus in just one general spot. Huge plus! The pricing is also pretty great considering how expensive airport parking can quickly get! Will definitely consider using them again! read more

no security at SELF PARK FLL-my car was damaged and no support was given I recently parked my car at SELF PARK FLL and had a terrible experience. I want to share what happened to warn others about the lack of security and support.I left my car at SELF PARK FLL assuming it was a secure place to park. When I returned, I discovered that my car had been hit, and the person responsible had left without leaving information .When I reported the incident to the staff ,they were unhelpful and simply stated that parking was at my own risk. I asked if there were any security cameras that could help identify the culprit ,but they told me there were none.Its alarming that a parking facility of this size and in such a busy area has no cameras. This means anyone can damage your vehicle and leave without any consequences.Customers are parking their cars thinking it's safe, but in reality there is no security.I am extremely disappointed w/ the lack of security and the indifferent attitude of the staff.If you are considering using SELF PARK FLL,be aware that your Car is not as safe as you might think.I recommend finding a more secure parking option RATING 1/5 read more

Have parked here several times for weekend and full week trips. Only issue would be getting picked up during very busy times as there is only limited space in the van. You could get left behind especially if you are come from spirit when everyone ahead of you is picked up first. Every part of our experience with Self Park FLL was easy and efficient. I made a reservation online after comparing prices and locations of the competing parking services. Self Park FLL offered both a great price and a convenient location. When we arrived at the facility on Old Griffin Rd (use your smartphone to get there as this isn't the easiest place to find), we found our name posted on their "welcome" board. We immediately felt appreciated. The check-in process was quick & easy. The shuttle van arrived within a few minutes to lead us to a parking spot. The fenced lot was nearly full, which we saw as a positive sign that Self Park FLL was successfully providing parking services to their customers. The trip to the airport took only a few minutes and the driver was very pleasant. We received a text before we landed back at FLL with instructions for contacting the company for a pick-up. Despite the late hour (around 11:30 pm), the driver was very pleasant and arrived promptly to pick us up. I need a safe facility in a decent area, and I can't get left at the terminal when I get back. I also like to keep my keys, so self-parking is a big thing for me. So first off - don't be turned off by the area! This area of Old Griffin Rd is a bit industrious, and I was starting to get sketched out by the appearances of junkyards and closed-up businesses. Fear not, though - once I got to the office (don't forget to check in BEFORE you venture to the back lot gate), everything was smooth sailing. Reserved online, check in in the office was quick. The attendant had us follow him (please follow them because they have parking clustered so guests arriving at the same time can get on the shuttle quickly) into the lot. Gate access: check, secure facility, check. Our bags were on the shuttle quickly and we were off to the terminal. The shuttle was clean, spacious, and our driver was friendly. It was a short ride, maybe 5 minutes, then we were dropped off right at the entrance for our airline. Sweet! Great experience so far - and we got a great rate online so definitely the way to go. When you arrive you have to wait in a parking lot then check in, then go in the back to park somewhere else, then you wait for all the people that register to arrive and jump in the van... so plan ahead to be sure you have enough time. My husband and I were headed to Playa for a couple of weeks and needed a safe place to store our suv. I scoured the reviews for every place and landed on Self Park FLL, and boy am I glad we did! From the first phone call I knew we could trust them. I didn't realize just what a wonderful place they would turn out to be. Cost: $ - beyond reasonable. Pre-reservation: called and spoke with a wonderful rep. She answered all my questions right up front. She wasn't sure what the rule was for dogs on the shuttles, so she asked the drivers to confirm instead of guessing. On-line reservation: super intuitive and easy to complete. Drop-off the car: check in was smooth. The driver was very communicative and let us know that it would be a small wait as several others were checking in. He continued to let us know status as we waited (which wasn't long). Security/parking: the driver leads you into a secured parking lot, shows you were to park and helps you unload/load into the van. You then receive your card with pickup information, the #, and reminder where you are parked. Keys go with you. The drive: super close and super smooth. Plenty of space in the van. Drop off @ the airport: to your gate you go and the driver helps you unload with a smile and thank you. Extension: staying longer than you planned? No problem! Renew online and pay the same price! Airport pickup: call the number on the card and someone will pick you up at the designated spot shortly. The driver may even argue with you about letting him load the van ;) . Forgot/lost your card? No worries! Check your email, they sent you the info there too! Vehicle pickup: back to the secure lot you go. Keys are with you so continue on your merry way! Lauderdale airport. When you get back, you have a phone number to call with your code. We parked our car here last weekend and had no issues with the drop off. We returned and as instructed called the number for pick up. We waited in the hot sun for over 40 minutes. When I tried to call, it was impossible to reach a person. Finally, we gave up and took a taxi to the facility. We shared the taxi with another person who was waiting longer than us. When we arrived at the facility and expressway our frustration, we were told that someone had been there to pick us up and we didn't respond. No way did that happen and if it was true, why wasn't I called? Further, as they knew we were waiting and allegedly didn't respond why didn't they circle around and continue to look for us? We weren't offered any compensation for having to take a taxi. read more

This was our first time using this service. Right off the bat, everyone was kind and very accommodating. They explained things very clearly and walked us through check in and parking smoothly. At the time, we accidentally left some of our items in our vehicle, however we were already at the airport when we noticed. We called and our driver Peter, came back without any issue. I went there early in the morning and lowered my window to ask the employees if they had parking available ( the employees were a couple of elders a man and a woman ) and she rudely said go over there! Like she was a polIce officer directing traffic. I went over there as she mentioned and instead of approaching me she turned her back and walked away. So did the old man. I went inside and this young guy was no diffErEnt. Without caring for a customer he said the walk in was more expensive. And didn't suggest me going online to book from my phone. I asked if he could give me a better rate and he and the elders started laughing in a sarcastic way. I left there very disappointed and instead went to park 24/7 down the road which was way cheaper and people there believe in customer service. This people just lost 6 clients. A little delayed in my review but I got a great deal online and parked at Self Park FLL for 4 days ~$23. What a steal!!!!! Upon getting to the location, I parked right outside the office and checked in with Terry who was working an early morning shift. Check in was easy using a touch screen computer at the desk. It seemed like there were two shuttles operating and so when the other shuttle was coming back from the airport back to this location, Terry went outside drove a shuttle and led me and my car into a gated parking lot. After I parked, I got my stuff loaded onto the shuttle and off we went! When I got back to FLL, i called the number on the business card Terry had given me to call for the shuttle. I waited in the pick up zone where uber/lyft can pick you up and they came in about 15 minutes. When we got back to the lot my car was safe and sound and just as I left it. I usually lyft/uber to the airport for $20-30 each way but with the discounted deal of $23, this is totally worth every penny. i would highly recommend them and use them again. read more
