Dirk is one of their managers and i like to speak to him , he knows my name and my boyfriends and its just quick, nice and personal. the bank is right down the road from us and has plenty of parking , a drive through ATM and an ATM outside for after hour service. sometimes they have a security posted in front of their door. the feeling is for sure very southern hospitality like but also very efficient and professional. when i have my house finished we will live literally 25 minutes away but i m still planing to come back if i have a problem.

I needed a cash advance on a credit card. Something I don't like to do, but I needed to get cash for a purchase. I'm in Arden and I googled bank banks and home trust came up on my way home. When I came in, there were 2 tellers, one was helping someone through the drive-through and the other teller was at her counter. I asked if she could do a cash advance. She said yes, and then she called her manager and asked how to do it. After she charged my card and handed my receipt, she told me that she had to give me a check, not cash because I don't have an account there. I went from nice to being very upset. And yes, I became an angry customer. I asked why she processed the cash advance if she couldn't give me cash. Then she explained that she could write me a check that they would then cash and then I would get my cash to leave the bank. Her manager wasn't in the bank, but she showed up during this transaction period and tried to help her through it. During this time, another manager came over. So now I've got 3 people trying to create a check that they were then going to have me sign over to cash. Talk about ridiculous. If I wanted a local bank, I would definitely not get an account at this bank. It shouldn't take 3 people, one teller and 2 managers, to process this cash advance. Or they simply could've told me when I came in the door 'no we can't take care of this.'
