I checked with 3 places and Jay's had the best estimate by far. Also, they are open on Saturday mornings, which was huge. I could not find a body shop in Mount Vernon that had Saturday hours, just none, to get estimates. Jay's did a great job on the door and was very accommodating with regard to accepting payment from the person who'd hit my car. I was so happy that I brought my newer nicer car to him later in the same week to have its front fender corner tidied up for a price that was half what another shop had quoted through our Acura dealership.

Probably one of the best full service machine shops around…read more I began using them roughly 2 years ago for simple head assembly and machine work. As of recently I decided to use them for the not so run of the mill PORSCHE engine I had rebuilt by another company 2 years prior! Needless to say the last shop didn't rebuild what they charged me for and Brian at center was able to help me out. After that I brought center machine ANOTHER 6cyl Lemans engine. They stand behind their work and have no problem warranting any aspect they've touched. That's not easy to find when it comes to machine shops. I'm on my 5th specialty engine overhaul with center machine and so far so good!

Old school workmanship that is very hard to find these days! Metro Auto Repair is now my only "go to" place for auto body work.
