At my initial evaluation, I did not feel that I received the full amount of time I expected for a thorough assessment. I attended four visits, and each time I was seen by a different provider. Because of this, I did not feel there was the continuity of care that is important in physical therapy. Having a consistent therapist who knows your history, progress, and treatment goals can make a significant difference. During my last visit, I requested cupping as part of my treatment. The provider indicated that she would check about whether it could be done, but I never received an answer or follow-up regarding my request. Another concern was that, while I needed to be reassessed, the therapist was also working with another patient. I understand that therapists have multiple patients and busy schedules, but I felt that my reassessment deserved more individual attention. If another therapist was available at the time, I believe having someone assist with the reassessment would have provided better attention to my needs. As a Medicare patient, I take my healthcare seriously and expect to receive attentive, consistent, and individualized care. I understand that a busy rehabilitation facility has scheduling and staffing challenges, but my experience left me feeling that my care could have been handled with more attention and continuity. I am sharing this review not to criticize any individual provider, but to give an honest account of my experience and hopefully help the facility improve the patient experience.

They always send me home with good exercises to do that I believe have helped as well. I don't always have the same therapist and each therapist I have had has been equally good and experienced. From walking in the door and meeting the welcoming gal at the front desk, to working with my physical therapist, the atmosphere in the rehab facility is very comfortable and upbeat. You really do get personalized attention and I would recommend this place to anyone. Actually, the reason I chose it was because my brother and also a friend of my sisters recommended it. I'm glad I followed their suggestion.

Was therapy the best part of my week? Absolutely not. But they were the reason I can use my shoulder again, and that's saying something! While Dr. Matt and Dr. Chris provide a constant presence, techs and interns rotate from being undergraduates to working in house to graduate programs. They come and they go. I have had a bad experience at the first physical therapy office I went to, but since coming to CORA Winter Park, I have made more progress with range of motion, pain, abilities/capabilities, etc., than I have this whole past 1.5 years post accident before coming to CORA PT Winter Park. Everyone is SO friendly, the environment is so warm, welcoming, and they really listen, hear you and make sure you do the best stretches for YOU and your situation. Shoutout to Akesia! She is the therapist/doctor that has been with me since the beginning and every step of the way, giving me stretches, asking how I've been doing with home PT, etc. I've never felt so heard and just taken care of. I've had more progress these past 3 weeks with Akesia than I have these past 1.5 years going to other offices combined. I got into a car accident 1.5 years ago that left me with bulging discs, a pinched nerve, a bone spur, and a sprain and a strain to my cervical spine completely straightening my neck and loosing the natural curvature. I was unable to work (and still unable atm), in severe pain and when I first got into my car accident I went to a different Physical Therapy company (in late 2022)and they gave me such hard stretches that it made my neck worse. I asked for easier stretches or if they can modify my stretches and they refused and said for me to just "do what I have." I did, and it hurt my neck so badly.... At that moment I couldn't hold a phone, wash a fork, brush my hair, etc. My bad experience, feeling ignored and unheard made me leave that PT office; I tried a chiropractic office for 11 months in 2023 but didn't see much progress. When I got health insurance in 2024 I decided to try a different physical therapy company (CORA Physical Therapy Winter Park)but was so nervous and skeptical from my initial experience... Coming to CORA PT Winter Park was the best decision I have ever made and I can't believe the progress I've made in such a short amount of time. I am so hopeful, which I felt like I was lacking for so long. I feel like I can see an end in sight and now I finally feel like maybe I'll be able to go back to work this year and regain my life back. No words can express my gratitude towards CORA and just the phenomenal therapists here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE/LOCATION!

My consultation/evaluation with Doctor Placer was pleasant and informative. He payed deliberate attention to my concerns and asked pertinent questions. Using a diagram he explained the cause of my pain and suggested a course of treatment to address the pain. I am a health care professional so I had some challenging questions for Dr Placer and he answered each one with clarity. I was impressed by the Doctor and have confidence in him. The check out process and follow up appointment scheduling was easy and the front desk person was thorough and made sure I understood what I would need to do/avoid prior to my appointment.
