I was not given a doctor's name at the time of making the appt, rather I was told by your receptionist when I handed her the tablet, that my doctor was a male (not female) and that he was running a little behind. That was fine. I was also told when I made the appt that I would be getting a full set of xrays at this appt as well as meeting with the doctor. If I had 2 people in front of me (again, information given by your receptionist) then I would be there for quite a while longer, after sitting there since about 11:10. I let the receptionist know I was leaving and she repeated there were only 2 in front of me and they should be quick. I thanked her but let her know finding somewhere closer to home would be better for me. Not a single person was called back to the doctor or left the building while we all waited. It was not just about the time spent but also the time I had in front of me to wait. Being a new person to the office made me also concerned that this was a normal thing, which I knew would not work with my schedule. Also the comment about the dogs coming first was made by the receptionist to everyone in the waiting room, not by me. I didnt even know about the dogs when I arrived, again, first time there.

All that running and being a very bad stretcher resulted in torn Achilles and then constant pain in both feet for 3 years! My orthopedist said it's Plantar Fasciitis. Scrape, stretch and rest. Oh and never, yes he said never run again. Dr. Ron Miller from Pursuit Physical Therapy helped prepare me for some races in the past. He sent his monthly email and it was about Plantar treatment with shockwave. I am ready! Let's do this. Dr. Ron after evaluation determined it was not Plantar Fasciitis plaguing me but Insertional Achilles tendinitis in both feet. Treatment plan included 6 shockwave treatments, stretches and advance to strengthening while still living life. That is a critical part most doctors deny you during treatment. On week 6 we had a cruise, during a hike in Alaska I looked at my husband and said, "I have no pain in my feet. Zero!!" It had been over 3 YEARS since I could say that. It is now 4 weeks since that moment and still pain free. Dr. Ron texts me weekly to check in and is sending new exercises as I progress more. I know it's a long review but Dr. Ron once again has changed my life. He even said maybe we could go for a run together soon! Did you read that correctly? Go for a Run!! He looks at everything, stays up to date on new treatments, never gives up on finding what will bring you to your goal. Thank you for giving me back my pain free active life.
