I was injured during my time with this Provider. My Lumbar spine had a bulging disc. The exercises were putting me into flexion, bending over and touching the ground from my waist. Later I found out this is NEVER done with a bulging disc. Right after that, I had to quit because my disc went into full herniation. I do not understand how this was seen as normal protocol. I then deteriorated further, finally going to an emergency spinal surgery. I feel that this all could have been avoided, and yet people get distracted. My care was not right for my body. My first time engaging PT specialist and I'm really glad I found this team. I've had a long time chiropractor to manage disc issues and after decompression and a failed steroid injection my options were narrowing - I didn't want surgery. Met with Charlie and over the last few weeks I've had lots of improvement. The exercises relieved many issues and gave me tools to cope with the permanent challenges. I was able to reengage in one of my favorite hobbies. Charlie is extra patient and explains everything and just has such a great cheery and friendly attitude- and he understands which exercises to focus me on. He is able to treat back pain effectively. While resigned to the reality that my back issues are with me for life, I'm able to cope and leave behind pain meds and 2x a week chiropractor visits and best part - no surgery. read more

I was referred by my doctor to Edge PT for some physical therapy. I was able to get an evening appointment fairly easily. The business is owned and ran by two ladies with PHDs in PT and they are very knowledgeable. The facility is new and clean and nicely though sparsely decorated. The office staff is friendlier than most doctor offices. That is the good part...for the bad part. Good Health Care is hard to find and you won't find it here. I have been dropping stars with each visit and now quit to find another PT half way through my sessions. The first 5 sessions with Ann were a complete waste of time. It's bad enough to have an injury but to be mistreated too when your looking for help when your hurting. I was pretty upset and mad after most of the sessions. I was given the wrong instructions for exercises, yelled at, appointments time were cut in half. It was horrible. I saw Ann at for the first five of the appointments and then switched to Sipla. There several major issues with Ann the co-owner. When I requested to switch to Silpa things got very uncomfortable. I was yelled at and given incorrect exercise instructions. They also require you to pay upfront when you don't have a co-pay to cover the coinsurance. Problem is that in network providers accept the allowed amount which is always less than their regular fee. They calculate the payment base on the coinsurance percentage of the full price. Which means they are probably going to get paid more than you'd actually owe in the end. Seeing Ann was a waste of time. Appointments were cut short. One was short 20 minutes out of a 45 minute appointment! Uprofessional. During appointments she was inattentive. I was doing the exercises in some cases with wrong form. She didn't notice because she was typing away on her netbook. I found out from Silpa that I had wrong form. It is a waste of time to do the exercises incorrectly for several weeks! It could also cause further injuries. Unprofessional. Her bedside manner is abrasive. Her communication style is authorative and lecturing. Even on topics that don't have anything to do with PT. It 's condescending and wasted time with the too much chatter. I prefer someone who will work with me as a coach than give me a lecture on human anatomy. Sessions would end abruptly I need someone more caring and warm to feel comfortable touching me, which is a big part of PT. Silpa at the first session asked about my work and explained how certain habits could contribute the injury. She discussed proper posture and actually observed the exercises when I was doing them and corrected form. Then things kinda went downhill from there. She would also start appointments late and end early. Communication was abrasive. She got very upset at doing some documentation to get some equipment for work. She completed it too late to help, I told her a week ealier when I I needed. At the end of the last session she yelled at me told not come in because of my work chair. Well yeah what do you think exacerbated/caused the injury in the first place! Unprofessional. I too the hint and I cancelled all my appointments and decided to seek help elsewhere. I would avoid the massage therapist too. I hurt for 2 days after. She wouid not let up even when I said it hurt and didn't work on the problem area very much. It was the worst massage I ever had. I had told Anne about my massage experience and her response was "You've never had a a massage before". In fact I have had many massages for the injury and none hurt like that. Again, condescending and rude. The last thing you need when your hurting is to be mistreated. Response to Business Owner's Response: I was told more than once that I am required to pay part of the coinsurance upront by both the receptionists and Anne. This is an unusual practice I've never seen before. If you have a co-pay which I do not, then it's customary to pay at time of visit. But not a coinsurance. I have never been contacted by anyone from the office regarding billing issues or the care I received. read more

My doctor referred me to Edge for some shoulder pain after my x-ray came back negative. They were booked up for a while, but I asked Vicki, the receptionist, to call me if anything opened up. They were very flexible (ha ha!) and were able to get me in for an eval within a day or two. Their facility is really nice. It's very clean; all of the equipment is very modern; the windows overlook a peaceful greenbelt/wetland; the clinic is open and spacious with a couple private rooms off to the side. My previous experience with a physical therapist had me bracing for an abrasive experience; I was pleasantly surprised by just the opposite. All of the staff are very friendly. The two therapists, Anne and Shilpa, own the business. I think this helps the overall environment and feel of the place; people tend to be more passionate and involved with what they do when they commit such a personal financial stake in it. Both ladies know their stuff. They try not to bounce their patients to one another, which I appreciated. I mainly worked with Shilpa. Throughout the course of my treatment (8 weeks or so), I worked with Anne only once while Shilpa was on vacation. Shilpa did a great job of evaluating my situation. I had no idea why I could have a rotator cuff strain or tear until we started chatting about what kind of activity might have caused it. Turns out, it probably had a lot to do with my 110-pound puppy. I hadn't made the connection until we talked it through. Throughout my treatment, Shilpa always took the time to answer my questions and explain things. Now that I have been discharged from her care, I understand enough about what is happening, mechanically, in my shoulder that I feel more confident about evaluating what I cannot (or should not) do until I am fully recovered. If you are in need of physical therapy, I can't think of a better place. Highly recommended. read more

I have been treated by six other physical therapists with three different companies in two different states and not one of them is in the league of Anne at Edge Physical Therapy. She cares personally about the well-being of her patients and you can tell that a lot of thought is put into the treatment plan and the pace in which it is carried out. She is so knowledgeable about the human body - she seems to know where every muscle, bone, joint, cartilage and tendon is and how it works. Extremely impressive service and knowledge. I have had a car accident and have gone to a chiropractor to start my treatments. After two weeks of treatments and 3 x week massages it has gotten to the point of unbearable pain. I first approached Silpa one of the co-owners of the "Edge" and after I explained of what is going on, she invited me to stop by for an evaluation. Once I was able to get in, Ann, the other co-owner, has done an assessment and within 5 minutes was able to pin point an exact problem I was that was cause of my pain and began to work on it immediately. It is because of their joint efforts I am now pain free and was able to return to my pre-accident condition. I highly recommend "The Edge" to everyone with any physical need. God forbid, but If I ever need this type of physical therapy services, I will go nowhere by straight to them. Had dual total knee replacements in October; and have been going to Edge ever since. They have been great in setting up a rehabilitation program for me and have continually refined it to work on the areas that are bothering me. I am getting to the point where I will no longer need their help; and when i started with them, I did not expect to be this far along in only four months. I can not say enough good things about their approach; which includes continually explaining how the body works; and what it is they are trying to correct / improve. I was treated by Anne (one of the co-owners) for some hip pain during pregnancy. I was impressed not only with her extensive knowledge of the injury and treatment options, but also in her ability to explain it to me. It was great learning exercises to relieve the pain and even better knowing what was going on in my hip and how to prevent pain in the first place. Anne also recommended some treatments that I wouldn't consider typical for a PT. She suggested I do a session with their on site massage therapist and it was fantastic. I appreciated the whole health approach she took in regards to my pregnancy. The facility is really nice as well. It's a new space that is tastefully decorated. There is an open treatment area with some equipment and off to the side some private rooms. Anne was great about making sure I was comfortable wherever I was treated. I started going when they first opened and could pretty much pick my time slot. By the time I finished, I definitely had to schedule out a week or two to get slots that worked with my schedule. I didn't mind and I took it as a good sign their clientele was growing that quickly. I also heard they are hiring another PT so that should also help. I'm starting to get some wrist pain now that I'm a new mom (too many hours rocking a baby to sleep). If it persists, I'll definitely be making an appointment here. Anne at Edge Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation gets 5+ stars from me. I was referred to Anne by a friend after I severely strained my back training hard for fire academy and was having no luck with another PT. I had about 6 WEEKS until academy when the strained occured so time was not on my side. I was initially referred to Peak Sports & Spine in Issaquah by a doctor but Peak didn't given me the attention/sense of urgency I felt I needed. I had already quit my job and had ample time to rahab but Peak wasn't putting in much of an effort aside from providing me with a generic routine that they probably gave to all their patients with lower back pain. By the time I met Anne at Edge PT I was extremely concerned that I wouldn't be able to rehab in time for the start of academy. I had 4 WEEKS until the start of academy and needed to see results extremely fast. I expressed my concern to Anne and she seemed to make it a goal of hers to make sure that I would be ready in time. By my second apt, Anne had personalized a program that was night and day better than what I had received from Peak. Each subsequent apt, Anne added/changed the program based on obervations she made during my apts. Some key callouts: -Small business atmosphere where owner operators take pride in their work. Their success depends on your satisfaction. -Nice facilities and equipment with no crowds or distractions. -Anne on numerous occasions spent time outside of our apts on my issue. She provided a video analysis of my running style and personalized a program to meet my need and timeline. -Patients in my position need reassurance. Its as much mental as it is physical. Anne talked me down off the ledge multiple times. -Both Anne and Silpa have doctorates in PT from prestigous colleges. This should become the standard in my opinion given the importance of PT on sustaining health and preventing reaccurances. I am currently in my 6th week of academy and have had absolutely zero lower back pain whatsoever. I would of never guessed that I would be feeling this good at this point in time. I was under the impression that I would have some form of lower back pain for the rest of my life. I am confident that my lower back issues are over and I owe my success to Anne. I am appreciative beyond words for her help in getting me back up and running. Thank you Anne! read more

I have been seeing Anne for several months after a bilateral knee replacement with some complications along the way. Although Anne has been providing the majority of my therapy, I have also seen the other therapists due to my work schedule. James is wonderful, funny and always has a fresh idea/approach to try. Each and every person there is personally interested in seeing you progress and improve with each passing week. The massage therapist, Amy, is wonderful as well. Amy is kind and very gentle. This group is obviously a team in every sense of the word. When I needed to see a different provider on occasion due to my schedule, I would learn a new technique or a new/different way to approach my therapy. It is the first time I can recall being grateful that I was seeing the partner of my usual provider. They all bring something great to the table. I don't do reviews often but when I get exceptional care or I see a very unfair review, I feel compelled to give a review as well. I read the review by the unhappy person and could not disagree more with their opinion of Anne and the office. I have been there so often since my surgery that I not only see her interactions with me, but with the people that are being treated when I arrive and when I am leaving. She has always been kind, patient and caring. As a healthcare provider myself, I feel sometimes you get what you give. Some people are impossible to please. As far as the insurance issue, if each private practice didn't require some prepayment at the time of service and waited for the insurance to pay first, all those practices would not be able to keep their practice open as it can be 8 months before you get reimbursed from insurance. I see at my clinic that for whatever reason, patients seem to pay their medical bills last or not at all. We are constantly being asked by patients to write off the balance of their bill. We have patients give us old insurance cards that are no good and if we didn't collect anything at the time of service we would receive nothing for those visits and therefore we would have no way to keep our doors open. When you are not part of a large hospital it is almost impossible to succeed these days. Let us not assume that all healthcare providers are wealthy and insensitive to the plight of people less fortunate. Let us celebrate these great women who have a thriving, successful business because of their hard work and sacrifices!!! read more

This team is top notch! I recently moved to Snoqualmie and was in need of a new physical therapist. I have 3 herniated discs in my back and suffer from chronic pain if not treated regularly. After a tough out of state relocation, I was in tremendous pain. They're front office staff is very professional, organized and accommodating. Silpa is my therapist and she is very detail orientated and hands on. She takes her time, listens to not only me (mostly my complaining) but also my body and I have seen tremendous results in only a short time. She is also very good at giving me at home directions for exercises that are simple but effective so I can actually speed up healing and not depend on just my appts for therapy. I feel she is very knowledgeable and an expert in her field. The massage therapist, Anna, is also amazing and has helped me manage my pain throughout the process. I really like their clean and professional therapy office and they have all modalities for which I am accustomed. I am so glad there is this great facility and team here in Snoqualmie and would refer my closest friends and family here. They are also very easy to work with regarding insurance. I was referred to Anne at Edge PT for knee issues and can't say enough good things about the treatment I received. She worked diligently to figure out my situation (as it's not just cut and dry; I've tried PT at two other places for the same thing without lasting results). She was always upbeat and seemed to really care about progress which is more than I can say for some of the other clinics I've been to. Anne was always timely and I never had an issue with scheduling or the front desk staff. She even worked me in over her lunch one day as I was going out of town and wouldn't be able to get back in to see her for a week. Anne really helped explain what might be causing my chronic knee problems and took loads of extra time to make sure I understood it. She has a great bedside manner.
