My favorite therapist is Jayce he has really been helping me so much . Every day I wake up with less pain than before meeting him. I haven't had to use as my children call it turtle shell (back brace ) To be honest I never thought this would work but I'm glad I didn't let my timid and pain stop me from trying . If you're in pain come try this place out the front and back staff are all amazing that care about all their patients .

Having a bad case of plantar fasciitis, I made an appointment at this office based on the fact they had good online reviews, and were extremely close to my office. In hindsight, I probably should have gotten a cost estimate first, but I was desperate for relief. The office visit, with my insurance's "negotiated rate" was $150.00. That did not include any of the actual treatment I had. I saw Dr. Chinn Pusri, DPM, and he was excellent. Knowledgeable, experienced, easy to talk to, and in no time he had a treatment plan mapped out to take care of the major issue, and a couple of minor issues as well. My problem is that after two weeks, and after having a painful shot in my heel, my foot feels exactly the same as it did pre-shot. Is it possible that it just did not work? Was it not placed correctly? Do I have to pay another $150 to go back and have another shot? Or do I look elsewhere? Stay tuned.

A vivid memory I do have that was kind of.... Iffy in my opinion, was when I was in pain and sobbing before I got out of the hospital and he told the nurse to lower my dose on the muscle relaxer, while I was almost screaming in pain, Okay then. The receptionists were good, the office was tidy, it was nice, and a lot of the doctors and nurses were nice. I did feel like he was trying to dumb down everything he was saying to my mother like she was a teenager with no idea what was going on and didn't have a degree in nursing, which she felt was demeaning. But overall everything went really well with the surgery and with recovery (I did have a fall and they got me in that same day for x-rays to make sure I was okay, Cronen didn't see me but his assistant, Josh, did. He either arrived HOURS late and I had to wait for him or he didn't show up at all. The longest I was at the office was 6 hours. I needed an MRI and he refused saying that "X-rays didn't indicate I needed one" even though my arm is going numb, which indicates a pinched nerve in my neck. All of my personal doctors agreed that the issue was my neck. Previously, the X-rays for my back didn't show anything until I got an MRI, which showed bulging and herniated disks. I don't think he actually knows what he's doing or has just given up. I hate it when someone tries to mansplain things to me and that's all he did. Find a different doctor. The front office staff are nice though.

Even though they changed, I did not hesitate going back to Back to Work Phyiscal Therapy, for my second...AND third auto accident. Everyone is courteous, friendly, and have the best table manners. They make sure every exercise is easy to understand, and utilize a program for at home workouts that is so easy and I love to use. My first experience with BTW was back in 2011 in the YMCA on Himes and had even visited their…read morelocation downtown, neither of which exist any longer. I received great care then and improved significantly and had gone to another PT office for different reasons and didn't feel that I got as good of results as I had at BTW. So, when I encountered some unrelated issues from the first series of visits that required PT attention, I knew I wanted to return to BTW and went to their newest S Tampa office on Dale Mabry. It's quite a difference from the older days. More space, more tools, more therapists. My initial evaluation (and last evaluation) was done by Kaitlin. She was my therapist for the majority of my visits, but was also seen by Ray and Burke (the master! himself) twice and also Michael from another office. It's good to share the sessions between all the therapists because they each work different things different ways. At the end of my series this time, I was able to get a home and gym regimen that I can easily follow and use several times a week. The key is actually doing it! They have a MedX machine, one for neck and one for back, that are very helpful...it strengthens over time. You don't find this in most PT places. That alone is special. I definitely feel better, there's still work to be done (need to keep on with the home and gym regiment...) and I would recommend this location to anyone who needs PT.

So disappointing…read more Moved to FL and found myself dealing with an old shoulder issue. I was in sooo much pain. Went in person on a Monday and asked about next available appointment. The woman at the desk truly seemed to take pleasure in saying it would be months before I could be seen. Honestly, I've never thought that about any medical office but she was sneering and laughing. I told her I'd been in 10/10 psin since Friday night. I'm not a drug seeker ( or I would have gone to an ER). I wanted a consult and possibly a guided steroid shot to stop the pain. Why 5 stars? Because after seeing many people, I finally received a diagnosis here…read more --- --- --- I've really been struggling with back issues for the past couple of years. I've seen countless types of doctors and physical therapists, only to find no solution. My Orthopedic Doctor got the point where he just kind of threw his hands up in the air and told me I should see someone else because he was out of ideas. That's where I found Dr. Schulak. He was incredibly thorough with my examination - performing a bunch of different resistance tests and showing me the curve of my spine on the X-rays. He was able to do something that no one else could: provide me with a diagnosis. That bad news is that I may not be able to fix this problem, but at least I know what it is now and can attempt to resolve it. Dr. Schulak referred me to nearby Physical Therapist that I really like so far, but time will tell if I can finally curb this pain that I'm having. I definitely appreciated Dr. Schulak's expertise to at least tell me what was wrong with me!

I had an ongoing back problem for years and went from doctor to doctor who blew it off. A lower…read moreback issue is VERY hard to get care for, at least in my experience. My primary care doctor ordered a MRI and I took the results to specialists who basically looked them, threw some medicine at me and sent me on my way. I got zero compassion and no one who took my escalating pain issue seriously. A friend of mine had gone to Dr. Schulak and swore by him so we made an appointment. By the day of my appointment, I couldn't walk any more. My husband had to put a mattress in the back of our van to get me to the dr. . . I couldn't sit either. My pain was to the point that I told my husband, either we need to fix this or I need to be put down. That's where I was at. Dr. Schulak felt like my last hope and honestly I didn't hold out much hope after dozens of doctors blowing me off no matter how great my pain was. . . I walked in with MRI results I had taken in Oct 2013, and this was now April 2014. . . So many months that I had barely survived and doctors dismissed me after looking at the same results Dr. Schulak put on his computer and looked at. Then he walked into my room and told me I was the proud winner of a surgery. . . He was kind. He was compassionate. He cared about my pain and most of all. . . He admitted me to the hospital THAT DAY and did the surgery the next morning and fixed the problem. He told me it was the only surgery I was going to feel better coming out of then I did going in and boy was he right. . . 2 days after my surgery I threw a birthday party for my daughter and people were amazed (In retrospect I was probably over doing it and Dr. Schulak would faint if he reads this. . . But after so long in so much pain I felt on top of the world) He saved my life. I would send my mother to him tomorrow if she needed back surgery . . . I read some of the other reviews and honestly. . . He's not a pain management doctor. He is a doctor who fixes the issue. That's what he does. He determines what the issue is and works towards helping patients live healthy lives. And yes, he told me to exercise. He told me to walk. He said I needed to do my exercises to keep my back strong and called me out when it obvious I wasn't doing them like I should. I don't see anything wrong with that . . . Like I said, he's a Orthopedic Surgeon and I went to a lot of doctors who specialized in back pain who did nothing to help me. . . And honestly, I didn't get fistfuls of meds from him, but I did get a second chance at life without NEEDING meds. . . And I'll take that any day! Also, as a side note. . . His staff is amazing too!! They were all compassionate and wonderful! They really cheered for me on my follow up visits when it was obvious I was doing so well!
