Overall my bunion removal surgery concluded with FAILED results, my foot was literally worse after seeing Shah than it was during my initial consultation visit. I WISH I had went to Tidewater Foot and Ankle from the start. Their corrective surgery results were successful, my mobility is way better than Shah's attempt, scarring minimal, and recovery was way faster. When Dr. Johnson did my other foot, recovery was a DREAM! Most importantly, all of the clerical and billing aspects of the experience were processed CORRECTLY. However, she never received the prescription. She has called six times and even used the patient portal to follow up, but they still have not sent it over--and it's now been more than two weeks. Needless to say, she will not be going back. This is incredibly frustrating, especially since it wasn't even a narcotic prescription. She was already nervous about seeing a foot doctor, but she pushed past that fear and trusted them to take care of her. Unfortunately, that trust was not honored.

From the first interaction. Dr. Anton was very warm, patient and answered any questions we had. He is very warm and caring when he interacts with my son and my son is very comfortable with him. I took off a star because the waiting room could be bigger though. There was only one bench and if someone is sick, then you have to be in the same area with them. My last pediatrician had a huge waiting room where it was divided by sick and healthy patients. There was also a movie playing and books whereas this place doesn't. No entertainment for the kiddos. Also the old pediatrician office had free samples of formula, baby shampoo, etc. this place doesn't. The location is great though and convenient. They take a lot of insurance plans which is great.

I left a message and he called back and asked specific questions about my injury and we facetimed so he could see my foot. He offered to come over in an hour, I was so relieved because the pain was becoming unbearable. Dr. Joel arrived and immediately assessed the problem. The treatment involved injections of which I am not a fan but he is one of the most gentle and patient physicians I have ever encountered. He explained everthing before and during the treatment and his "bedside manner" is outstanding. I saw results within a few hours and the next day I was almost back to normal. Dr. Joel called me to followup and see how I was doing. I don't know many doctors that do that these days. If you need someone to give you excellent care in the privacy and safety of your home I would recommend Dr. Joel 110%.
