If I had listened to her pediatrician my child would be one of those kids walking around with those plastic helmets which cost thousands of dollars may. And those helmets only fix the exterior cranial plates. She actually See's quite a few kids who's parents went the helmet route to fix issues the helmet didn't or at least make the issues more manageable like headaches etc. Instead of waiting we went to see Carol about 8 times and she manually fixed out daughters head with precise gentle movements using her hands. There was no pain to my daughter and she was a pleasure to deal with. I would suggest her to anyone. She works on all ages from infants to adults. I have been to several connected to hospitals, that had gym and pool access & they do not come close to the unique techniques used by these experts. The KT tape was also amazing! (AKA: my binke, lol) I still use it. I ended up needing to go back to the surgeon, so I only used 10 of 12 visits. It was decided, that after this much time, I was not improving enough, so no sense returning. The claim adjuster was notified and understood. About a month after I left, I got call from the receptionist asking me why I did not come back. Risk management wanted to know? That was odd because Vinnie, decided the facia work was not helping, and suggested I go get the steroid injection, which I did. I would thnk that would have been in my chart and forwarded on. Minor glitch in communication. Very grateful for the feedback on the scoliosis brace that was wrong for me. That was major niceness & I am forever grateful for your input. I was able to return it & found an adult scoliosis brace from Source Ortho, online. I know exactly ZERO about adult scoliosis braces. With Orthopedic Sports Specialists, it is not just about an in and out surgery. More appropriately, you bring them the problem and then the "team" goes to work. In house Xray technology, extremely talented surgeons and then, to complete the recovery, one of the best Physical Therapy teams that I have ever encountered. The team approach means that patient care is directed by the surgeon every step of the way - in fact. Dr. Merrill, one of the three orthopods, routinely would confer with the in house physical therapists to assure clear direction for speedy recovery. In the spring of 2026, I had a complete knee replacement. Many of my colleagues had gone through knee replacement surgery and what they experienced was hospital stays, wheel chairs and crutches. Because of this group's dynamic approach. I not only walked out of the operating room, I was in physical therapy the next morning in the office with a very quick recovery. Truly remarkable when you consider how badly injured I was with intense pain every time I walked. Now, some months later, I am still in awe at the care and treatment I received and I am walking normally with very little scarring. What a great place - a paramount of care and concern! Then, the person makes a tentative appointment and says someone will call to get the insurance information and confirm. So I asked what if nobody calls. She said don't worry because they don't charge for missed appointments. I found that to be unusually good service so I confirmed it. She said that she knows other places do that, but they don't do it there. Then, days went by and nobody called. Then suddenly I received a text saying I had an appointment the next day, and to reply to confirm, and that if I miss my appointment, I'll be charged! This was so rude! And the opposite of what the person I talked to said. So I texted back saying that I don't have an appointment. I received a response saying they don't receive incoming texts! So they texted me asking for a response, but they don't receive responses! So I had to call to cancel the appointment that I didn't have! Then another long wait on hold. Then the person told me they do charge for missed appointments, and the previous representative gave me incorrect information. So I asked who the person was who scheduled an appointment that I didn't make, and gave me incorrect information. She said they don't know who she was. They don't have records of that! Then she kept asking me if I want to keep my appointment, after I repeatedly told her that I don't have one, and can't come at that time. She kept repeating the same question. Finally I hung up. The therapists - Brian, Glen and Jamie are professional, friendly and have good senses of humor. I have never been able to describe therapy as fun, but that is what my sessions were. I have benefited tremendously from their treatments. I had been to this type of therapy before at one of the hospitals in the Hartford area and this was a better experience in every way possible.
