My parents were both physicians and they taught me a lot about medical care, and Alex possesses so many of the crucial qualities a great doctor should have, which makes him an outstanding example of the BEST in his work. INNOVATIVE is truly blessed to have him as therapist, leader and a friend on their wonderful team. Another therapist, Nick Guarcello, an associate with Alex, has also worked hard to improve my condition and his medical knowledge and kind, cheerful personality have been essential in my progress. My knee is getting stronger and more stable and my range of motion has been improving steadily over the last few weeks with them. Because of their 1 therapist to 1 patient philosophy I not only get the opportunity to thoroughly understand each exercise but to learn more about why each exercise is important. And with a therapist dedicated to my care during each visit, they can quickly spot when they need to modify any activity to make it either easier or more challenging. I had literally seen seven physicians and thirteen physical therapists before meeting Hope and Dr. Stu Steinman. I had been told by previous practitioners that I would never run again and that I would likely be in some level of continuous pain for the rest of my life. Since beginning treatment with Dr. Steinman and Hope (who are conveniently located in the same building in Norwalk), my back pain has been diminished to almost nothing. I exercise two to three hours per day, including running, without pain. Hope is a phenomenal physical therapist who cares deeply about her patients. She is intuitive, thoughtful, innovative, hardworking and demanding (and I say demanding as a positive, because if you truly want to get better, it takes work). As an example, I went to him a few years ago because I was feeling that my quads were weakening as I worked out instead of getting stronger. The more I worked them the weaker they got. He did a bunch of mobility tests and figured out that because of a hamstring injury 2 years prior I had adjusted and wasn't properly using my hamstrings and gluts. (It had been so long that I'd forgot I'd injured them until he started asking me about it...) He taught me some simple exercises to retrain my muscles and within weeks I was back in business. I've gone to him several times now over the last ten years and I am continually amazed at how skilled he is. They now use an app that shows me exactly what the exercises are and so I have easy access to them when I get home and I can make sure I'm doing them correctly. The team is incredibly professional and helpful (Thank you again for your help, Ali!). I've been to other places where they used stim so much it burned a hole in my leg. I've been to places where they are working with 4-5 people at a time and you wind up sitting around waiting. I've been to places where they do all kinds of different things but I don't get better. These folks are far and away the best. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Both times I have been here I have been treated very professionally. The check in process is quick and efficient. The physical therapist who has been assigned to me is excellent. Matt take the time to listen and explain what is going on. My shoulder has improved since I have been taking therapy. He has stretched and massaged my shoulder and it feels better. In addition he has shown me a series of exercises and stretches which work my shoulder at different angles. I look forward to my next appointment.

She always adds in just enough to get me to through the gate but never too much so that I "tilt". Then there is "other Debbie". This office has bonus Debbie's which I find absolutely delightful! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted, temp taken and are sent to start your appointment. They run like a fine oiled machine. The entire staff is amazing! As for Craig, he pushed me just enough to succeed. When I first started I never thought I'd be able to walk again and now I can walk around the block, play catch with my kids, ride a bike and live life. I still have a lot to go but he gave me the basics I needed.

I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. We agreed that I could go for my initial evaluation and consult to their Hamden facility (near the tunnel on the Merritt Parkway), and then I could do my follow up appointments in Milford. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.

This gentleman is compassionate and very personable. I would highly recommend him to anybody in my family. He's the best, and I've been to many physical therapy agencies . I have had many surgeries in the past. I've had two fusions in the back, five knee operations, and one neck operation for the spine. Thanks to Keith, I can still ride a bicycle, go to the gym, and golf. I'm 82 years old and as active as I was in my 60's. If I need care in the future I would definitely go back to Prolete Physical Therapy. Carl W
