The whole process far exceeded my expectations, as I am 76, and did not know how it was all going to end up. My strength and range of motion is almost back to where it was before my injury. My lead therapist is Alexander Torres who is an exceptionally bright and very kind young man. My parents were both physicians and they taught me a lot about medical care, and Alex possesses so many of the crucial qualities a great doctor should have, which makes him an outstanding example of the BEST in his work. INNOVATIVE is truly blessed to have him as therapist, leader and a friend on their wonderful team. Another therapist, Nick Guarcello, an associate with Alex, has also worked hard to improve my condition and his medical knowledge and kind, cheerful personality have been essential in my progress. Also, Andrew DeFranco, an aide to Alex is an energetic, intelligent young man who has been available and has done a great job working on my issues. And last but not least, Christine, the sweet, very helpful receptionist is a great, very pretty asset to the image of your company. I am moving to Austin, Texas tomorrow which is a difficult change, but necessary for me, and I will truly miss INNOVATIVE and I just had to thank you and your team for your attention, expertise and medical wisdom and if I return to this area some day, I will be there right away. Best of luck, great success, and much love to you and your outstanding company and its members.

I have been seeing Hope Bove, one of the owners, on and off for over two years. Originally, I came…read moreto see her with a chronic, degenerative disc disorder that had caused me a significant amount of pain for years. I had literally seen seven physicians and thirteen physical therapists before meeting Hope and Dr. Stu Steinman. I had been told by previous practitioners that I would never run again and that I would likely be in some level of continuous pain for the rest of my life. Since beginning treatment with Dr. Steinman and Hope (who are conveniently located in the same building in Norwalk), my back pain has been diminished to almost nothing. I exercise two to three hours per day, including running, without pain. Hope is a phenomenal physical therapist who cares deeply about her patients. She is intuitive, thoughtful, innovative, hardworking and demanding (and I say demanding as a positive, because if you truly want to get better, it takes work). I recommend her to anyone and everyone I speak to (who might have a need) - so it was imperative that I write a review here as well.

As an example, I went to him a few years ago because I was feeling that my quads were weakening as I worked out instead of getting stronger. The more I worked them the weaker they got. He did a bunch of mobility tests and figured out that because of a hamstring injury 2 years prior I had adjusted and wasn't properly using my hamstrings and gluts. (It had been so long that I'd forgot I'd injured them until he started asking me about it...) He taught me some simple exercises to retrain my muscles and within weeks I was back in business. I've gone to him several times now over the last ten years and I am continually amazed at how skilled he is. They now use an app that shows me exactly what the exercises are and so I have easy access to them when I get home and I can make sure I'm doing them correctly. The team is incredibly professional and helpful (Thank you again for your help, Ali!). I've been to other places where they used stim so much it burned a hole in my leg. I've been to places where they are working with 4-5 people at a time and you wind up sitting around waiting. I've been to places where they do all kinds of different things but I don't get better. These folks are far and away the best. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

Prolete was one of a number of physical therapy practices recommended following my knee replacement…read moresurgery. I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. We agreed that I could go for my initial evaluation and consult to their Hamden facility (near the tunnel on the Merritt Parkway), and then I could do my follow up appointments in Milford. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.

Came for ACL Rehab... Now I Actually Enjoy Exercise…read more I came to Evolution Physical Therapy and Personal Training in Norwalk for ACL rehab... and somehow ended up becoming a person who actually enjoys exercise. I first started with ACL prehab before surgery, and then returned for post-operative ACL rehabilitation. What immediately stood out about Evolution is the true one-on-one care. Your therapist is focused entirely on you - your injury, your progress, and helping you get back to living your life. Working with Nick helped rebuild my leg strength far beyond what I expected. Somewhere along the way I realized I wasn't just recovering from an ACL injury, I was actually getting stronger overall. So yes... the person who once described herself as allergic to exercise somehow ended up continuing with personal training at Evolution. Nick has a rare ability to meet you exactly where you are and help you get stronger from there. After months of working with the team, the progress has been incredible. I'm stronger, more mobile, and more confident than I've been in years. Choosing Evolution was one of the best decisions I made during my recovery. One of the things I really appreciate about this clinic is the environment. During sessions I see people recovering from all kinds of injuries and conditions, and watching their progress is genuinely inspiring. I also see a lot of people coming in with knee injuries and sports-related injuries, and it's amazing to watch them get stronger week by week. It's clear the therapists here are specialists who know how to guide people through recovery and back to living fully. The whole team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely fun to be around. They care about helping you heal, but also about helping you stay strong long after recovery. If you live in nearby towns like Westport, Weston, or Stamford (really anyone in Fairfield County), Evolution in Norwalk is absolutely worth the short drive. What started as injury rehab turned into something much bigger for me.
