Very disappointed with this physical therapy facility. The staff does not seem to truly care about their patients, especially elderly patients who need extra patience, attention, and support. It feels like their concerns are not being fully heard and that the level of care and compassion patients deserve is missing. Elderly patients deserve to feel respected, comfortable, and valued throughout their recovery. Having a caring and supportive team makes a huge difference, and unfortunately, this place does not make patients feel that way. I have never witnessed customer service this bad. Watching another customer be treated with such disrespect was absolutely unacceptable. The staff was rude, dismissive, impatient, and acted as if helping customers was an inconvenience. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, they chose to be argumentative and unprofessional. If this is how they treat people in front of other customers, it's hard to imagine how often this happens. No one should have to tolerate being spoken to or treated this way. Businesses earn their reputation by how they treat their customers, and based on what I witnessed, this place has a lot to improve. I have been going to physical therapy for my shoulder at Select Physical for about a month now. I have been very happy with the physical therapists that have worked with me, Olga and Alex. Everyone in the office is very friendly and I have worked also with some others also in the office. I do highly recommend them if you need PT. They listen to you about what might hurt when they are working on you which of course is very important. The women in the front of the office are also very friendly and there to help you. This place rocks, I wouldn't be where I am today without therapist and staffing there In Burlingame. They're always positive, upbeat, caring and going the extra mile for you. I was nervous, scared, and terrified to go there because of a previous encounter with another physical therapy company. This company got me over my fear in 10-15 minutes because they actually cared about me. Unfortunately, I'm having spinal surgery number three, and fortunately I have a surgeon, a great managing physician, and a physical therapy squad that is awesome. I'll be back in January. 2024! This is my feedback based on my recent experience at their office. I am disappointed to say that my experience was less than satisfactory. I felt that the level of professionalism and courtesy exhibited by the front office staff was lacking, and I hope they can address the issues and improve their office services for future patients. Given how close they are to where I live, I reached out by phone several times but l no one was picking up and finally I left a voicemail and I also received no reply in days! After several days, I went to their office and the receptionist was talking with someone for 15minutes without even acknowledging my presence! Finally, I asked, are you accepting new patients? she replied "we are but we are booked out"! In other words, they have no capacity and therefore, we don't need your business! I found that the staff were not responsive when I attempted to contact their office by phone. I also felt that they were not attentive when I arrived, and when I arrived, they ignored a guest. This made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a patient and for a healthcare established, I felt unsupported! There was an evident lack of communication and responsiveness when I had inquiries. I felt that I was not being given adequate attention and care, which undermined my trust in this establishment and my willingness to receive care from them. read more

I recently was a patient at Select PT for a neck and shoulder injury and I cannot speak too highly of the attention and treatment. During COVID challenges they have adopted stringent and appropriate procedures making you feel safe and cared for. My therapist Justin S was just incredible - very professional and highly skilled. She is so personable and combines her wonderful attitude with an excellence in her craft and application of therapy adapting to my particular injury and history. She provided relief and a path for future exercises and care. The support staff including Jeannie in the front office are of the highest standard and they are in a great location with easy parking. During a different treatment several years ago I felt that it was a little crowded and they were almost overbooking - I did not feel this during this course of treatment. read more

I was recommended by my mom to come here and I'm so glad I did! Location is great - there's free parking in the front and back which makes it very convenient to come here. I called the number provided by Yelp and spoke to the receptionist as a first time customer. She was very knowledgable and clear with what was needed of me prior to coming in. My doctor said I had sciatica and approved 8 visits. Wanda was my therapist and I love her! She's taken care of my brother, my mom and me! It was a really enjoyable experience going through physical therapy. I definitely feel more knowledgable than before about my back and how to take care of my body better. Though I know people that come here my think that the exercises the therapist work on are "obvious" people don't really know the correct form until they have a physical therapist to help them get proper form. I love all the staff here - I know they have interns and I feel like they're awesome as well! Really cool that they'll also sell you bands and other accessories for helping people recover but can be pricey. Olga is the best and an absolutely exceptional PT. My right-shoulder was hurting quite badly with pains of Shoulder Impingement Syndrome, nerve compression, and tendonitis since March 2020. In my first therapy session, Olga diagnosed my exact problems with my right shoulder and arm. Each visit Olga listened to me attentively and examined my right arm, neck, and shoulder movements thoroughly to measure the level of pain Olga massages the most painful part of my arm and shoulder, and she instructs me to do the on-site exercises. She monitors my posture and time and gives me a take home exercise handout with pictures. At end of session, she covers my shoulder with a heating pad to relax muscles for 10-15 minutes. In addition, Olga emails me the Ulnar Verve Glide on-line exercise demo, which really helps me to heal my painful right shoulder and arm faster. Olga treatment plans along with on-site & take-home exercises & her email of the Ulnar Verve Guide helps to improve of flexibility of my shoulder and arm movements. Her expertise on human anatomy and knowledge and her extraordinarily committed physical treatment is commendable. I am totally satisfied with her treatment and highly recommend Olga. read more

They treat each patient attentively and individually. They are genuinely concerned about "Your" wellness. Wanda and Manisha are simply the best. Amy is a wonderful resource when it comes to educating on the TENs unit. Joyce is a fun and uplifting partner when doing your exercises. She actually does them with you! I unfortunately did not have a positive experience at this place and can't recommend it at all. I went in with a very painful back-related injury that my very excellent primary care doctor thought would benefit from physical therapy. The whole visit was somewhat strange. The PTs didn't ask me any meaningful questions and didn't seem interested in being consultative. I'm not sure they even read my doctor's referral and his diagnosis. My appointment was basically this: They had me do a few generic exercises, gave me a short but painful deep tissue massage and electrotherapy treatment, and then handed me a pile of printouts of illustrations of exercises to do at home. These looked like they'd been photocopied from a very old textbook -- it was basically what you'd find if you Googled exercises for my injury, so I'm not sure why I paid them a bunch of money for this -- and they didn't offer up any directors on when, how often, etc. I should do these exercises. The overall atmosphere was unprofessional, and I didn't get the impression that the physical therapists were highly trained specialists in their field. The two PTs that were there the day I went were friendly but seemed stressed-out and rushed: They were both working with me and with another client who was there at the same time. There was little privacy in the office -- there's one main room where the other client was being worked with, and a smaller room off to the side where they took me, but left the door open during much of my appointment. Overall, nobody seemed in the least interested in the particulars of my injury or what may have caused it. It seemed like they were just going through the motions of generic treatment, rather than actually listening to me and my primary care doctor and working with us to outline a treatment program. They were, however, quick to want to schedule me for multiple visits a week and to charge my credit card -- and they are not cheap! They also caused some issues with my insurance/billing that I had to take time to email them about afterwards to get resolved. read more

Select physical therapy in Burlingame has provided me with by far the lowest quality of medical service I've ever received. My physical therapy appointments we're almost always double booked and I was usually passed off to the PT aid who was extremely friendly and easy to work with. my appointments were always limited to no more than 40 to 45 minutes and end it on the dot. When I asked my physical therapist Kelly why my timeslots are so short I was told my insurance company does not pay for anything more. This is complete BS. I called the insurance company and received a confirmation from them that they in fact do easily pay for a much larger timeslot than 45 minutes, especially for a significant surgery such as mine. The insurance company told me that the physical therapist simply has to fill out a few more forms but they would easily be approved. They did not see any forms filled out on file. Although the stuff is fairly friendly to be around, I often find myself looking at other physical therapist such as Olga, who seemed to be spending a lot more time providing dedicated care to her patients and being attentive to their health needs. My physical therapist gave me the bare minimum and standard PT treatment that did nothing beneficial for me in anyway. I do not feel any better being at this place at all. I would never recommend the spot to anyone. read more
