Joey (Joseph Livelo) was my physical therapist, and he was absolutely amazing in guiding my healing journey. Beyond being highly knowledgeable, personable, and easy-going, Joey takes a wonderfully pragmatic approach to care. He designed a program with exercises that were easy for me to stick to, thoughtfully evolving the routine as I progressed to edge me closer to full recovery. I genuinely looked forward to our weekly sessions! It has now been four months since my last visit, and I still do a set of the exercises Joey gave me every single morning to maintain my physical well-being. Beyond the excellent care from Joey, every single person I interacted with at the West Bay Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center was super nice and welcoming. As an added bonus, the office has its own parking lot, making visits completely stress-free. If I ever need physical therapy again in the future, I would return to West Bay Sports Medicine in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them!

Five stars isn't enough for Body, Balance and Beyond. I'm 55M, and was told about 20 years ago…read morethat I had scoliosis, but I never did anything about it. I had years of lower back pain while working a desk job, and in recent years, the pain had moved to my neck. At my first session, Shah quickly determined how my back was curving, and helped me in many ways: 1. Gave me exercises to strengthen weak areas to support the spine. He also recorded me doing the exercises with my phone's camera for later reference (Very helpful!) 2. Told me how to sit correctly, and also the best sleeping positions for my particular curve. He also told me which hand to carry groceries in while walking. 3. Does bodywork on my neck/shoulder area at every appointment. After a handful of sessions, my neck issues are 80% reduced, and I'm hopeful for further improvements. I've learned so much about what my body needs in just a few weeks. Shah is like the Bruce Lee of bodywork. Bruce Lee created his own martial art style (Jeet Kune Do) based on multiple martial arts disciplines. In the same way, Shah draws from many healing modalities including, but not limited to, Schroth, and tailors the sessions for my unique situation. Note, when I first reached out, there weren't any appointments available in the near term, but Blanka said last minute cancellations happen so she'll contact me if something opens up. She followed through with that and I got to see Shah sooner than I expected! So don't be discouraged if he's all booked up when you first reach out. Shah and Blanka are both great to work with, I can't say enough good things about this place!

It is very clean, calm, and inviting, which I feel is very important for any type of body work. l went to her with pretty chronic lower back pain. (I do a lot of driving and sitting at my desk which doesn't help the pain.) I find that when you are in constant pain, you learn to live with it, but you feel heavy and weighed down most of the time. After my session with Kristin, I honestly felt like I was floating as I walked down the hall. The pain had lifted and I felt like a new person. I then did my 3 hour commute home, and I had no pain at all getting out of my car. It really was amazing. I highly recommend working with Kristin at Pacific Myofascial Release. Her cupping has been a game changer for my neck and shoulder (I had frozen shoulder) and am very active so I'm often hurting myself one way or another. Angela herself is warm, authentic, and wonderful to chat and laugh with. We love sharing restaurant finds. But what happened this week completely blew my mind! I had horrific calf pain after running stairs with a 20 lb weighted vest two days in a row. I was miserable. I felt like I had calf surgery! While treating my calf, Angela said it felt like the needle was going into a steel plate! I was horrified, thinking what did I do and how long before I heal? The very next morning I woke up... and the pain was gone. I could not believe it. I went to the gym and did leg press and my full leg circuit like nothing had happened. I had no idea acupuncture could be that directly effective. I'm weirdly excited to see what Angela does with my next problem! Thank you, Angela!

I have been consistently going here for a few months (every 1-2 weeks) and am sorry to post such a…read morenegative review, but I feel like a place with a main goal to heal people should embody that philosophy in how they treat customers, but unfortunately have found that not to be the case here. First of all, I want to echo previous reviews that Minal indeed has amazing bedside manners and I have seen her several times and have been treated with nothing but respect and kindness. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the front desk person working on Thursday, Dec 10, 2026 - Alyssa, and to a lesser extent, Angela the owner. Again, like previous reviews of interactions with the front desk, it seems they are incapable of having any empathy for customers. In my case, I was running late for my 4PM appointment and called around 3:30PM (answered by Alyssa) to see what could be done. I was told the policy was strictly a 10min grace period so if I arrived at 4:11PM, I would be charged a $75 late fee. This was very frustrating because I was scheduled to arrive right around 4:10PM, but a simple traffic light could be the difference between arriving at 4:10 or 4:12, but Alyssa firmly stated they wouldn't even make a minute exception even though I had never been late before in any previous appointments. This stressed me out so much so even though I managed to arrive at exactly 4:10 (got lucky with the traffic lights), I was dis-regulated and accidentally slammed the door that was the entrance to the clinic (it is super light, definitely one of those indoor hollow doors). Alyssa glares at me and states there are other patients and I said something to the effect of Oh well I was very stressed out trying to get here on time due to the policy, so sorry and obviously this won't happen again. And she continues glaring and mutters ..crazy... while looking me straight in the eye. And then she's like ugh whatever Minal will talk to you, in a tone straight out of Mean Girls and leads me to the room. A minute later, I come back out asking if I could use the bathroom (not sure if I would be charged the late fee for it so wanted to check) and she glares at me for a solid few seconds, as if in disbelief I dare talk to her again, before begrudgingly saying uh yea whatever... The next day, Angela the owner called me to talk about the incident, so I told her what happened and mentioned Alyssa called me crazy, and she said that she heard from Alyssa that she said "That's crazy...", and not "YOU'RE crazy...". Now my question is does that make a difference? When your front desk receptionist looks a customer in the eye and says CRAZY, does it matter if it was preceded by "you're" or "that's"? It felt like 75% of my call with Angela was her basically saying she didn't know who to believe with the he-said-she-said (then why call me to talk about it) and nitpicking on the details of the name calling. I called her out on it and she apologized and emphasized she does not condone Alyssa's behavior, but it didn't feel sincere due to her previous comments. Philosophically, I hate places that can't make a 1 minute exception as a one-time deal (I get if someone is chronically late that you gotta respect other people's time and pay for it), but I would say if it were only this, I would be giving this place maybe 3 stars for the inflexibility since it is their right and it's just preference but not a crime or anything. But 1 star for Alyssa's behavior and the very confusing defensive call from Angela afterwards.
