I bought my car on February 18th, 2021. I waited a bit to give my review because a couple hours after driving off the lot my TPMS light came on and the brakes were grinding, so I wanted to see how they handled the issues and include in my review. Going backwards a bit, I did my research on cars I wanted and then dealerships I wanted to check out. I came across Select Motorz on Facebook marketplace, the were advertising a car that checked off all the wants/needs I had. So I went to check them out. (This was my first time buying a car, I do not have good credit and so I knew for one getting a car was a challenge also with a low payment). When first arriving, we were able to look at cars in the parking lot without being approached at first, which was nice. There was no pressure. Then after 10-15 mins we were approached by a salesman (I forgot his name, I apologize but he was so nice and polite) we looked over a couple vehicles together and then I went over my wants and what I had walking in. At that point I had my eyes set on a specific car a 2016 Kia forte, he was able to give me the over view and details of the vehicle. At that point I felt comfortable moving forward so we went inside and I was introduced to Lisa, and what a delight she is. I really thought the process was going to be a headache in itself with the paperwork - but Lisa made the whole process go very fast and smoothly. I have to say they made a first time buyer feel very comfortable with such a huge investment and purchase. I was able to get close to the payment I wanted a month with no haggle or at least try to haggle lol. Which kind of blew me away because that was so important to me. The deal was closed and after leaving the lot a few issues came up, nothing super concerning and needing immediate attention, thank goodness, because even these little issue set my anxiety and stress off the walls. Because, really who wants to buy a new (new to me) vehicle and already have to deal with issues. (Also, I have went to other dealerships with friends that have purchased used vehicles and the vehicles were questionable, staff was rude, and once driven off the lot just problem after problem would occur and the dealership would refuse to help even if the purchase was less than 24-48 hours old. That alone terrified me) I called Lisa immediately and not only was she concerned and apologetic, they told me to bring in the car at my earliest convenience, so I did, and they took care of the issues right away. On my car they even offered warranty i believe with the trans and engine and that alone let me know they stand by their vehicles cause most used dealerships sell as is. I have/would recommend Select Motorz, to family, friends and random people if asked about my experience. Bought my fiancé a 2017 Hyundai with 92k miles. when I bought it has been back to them for problems every month because of a P0420 code They said they "fixed" it but can't provide an invoice of what was done so I'm pretty sure they just threw parts at it and cleared the code and didn't actually fix the problem after going to BAR about it. And still to this day the car takes a good minute to get it to go over 50mph because it's STILL very sluggish. Also an air bag light that comes on at random times still isn't resolved after I've told them about twice now. We hardly ever get any pleasure driving it so go somewhere else if you want a reliable used car.
